Pros: I use the dark brown version which stays on all day and does not irritate my sensitive eyes nor does it flake. It transfers a bit, but not enough for other people to notice since it is subtle. Cons: Can be hard to remove depending on which eye makeup remover is used. I was using a homemade one that worked with Covergirl Lash Blast (this flakes horribly) and Smashbox mascara (stung my eyes after four hours and transferred), but it didn't work for Marcelle mascara because it has more staying power. However, having to buy a remover isn't bad compromise for a product that is my HG mascara!
Pros: Product removes mascara and eyeshadow easily Cons: This product is drying to eyes, caused mine to water, and on one occasion my eye puffed up due to an allergic reaction (my lids puffed up, burned, and were painful). Although this product removes makeup well, it is harsh and a major eye irritant.
Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Perfection Volumizing Mascara

This mascara is a disappointment. It is too thick and goes on clumpy which means I can't coat my lashes individually as I would like. Even my lash comb can't correct the mess on my lashes. I thought this would be comparable to Cover Girl's Eye Lights. I have this particular mascara in 'black sapphire' and absolutely love it although it is a tad thick too, but not like this mascara!
Love, love, love it! This is a shimmery gunmetal blue colour which enhances my already blue grey eyes. It darkens my lashes just enough for them to be noticeable (my eyes look silly in black mascara). This is a good product for those who don't want dramatic lashes. The wand allows for perfect application and the formula doesn't clump. I normally am a complainer of mascaras, but have nothing to complain about in this review. However, if this is purchased in 'waterproof' you'll have a heck of a time getting it off. Thankfully, this review is for the non-waterproof formula which does not smudge or flake (Cover Girl's Lash Blast flakes though). I will be letting Cover Girl know I am thrilled with this product so they continue to please happy customers like myself. EDIT: This mascara dried out so fast and ended up becoming clumpy. I added a couple drops of olive oil (yeah, that was stupid) and ruined the texture of the formula so now it's even more useless.
Cleansers -L'Oreal - Gentle Lip & Eye Makeup Remover

This product works to remove my eye shadow and mascara, but leaves my eyes feeling dry afterward as other posters have said (I will add a little bit of olive and castor oils to combat the dryness to the remover). It would be easy to spill the contents since the opening on the bottle is big - so be careful. I prefer Maybelline's eye makeup remover in the little blue squirt bottle but am not a fan of the cost for such a small amount.
I normally don't purchase Avon products but did out of respect for a friend selling it. It was nice that this mascara came in brown. When I opened it the brush threw me off as it's an hourglass shape and I wondered how it would coat my lashes. Next I looked at the consistency of the formula and noticed it was very thick. I gently applied it to my lashes and it went clumpy with inconsistency (clumpier in some areas more than others). This is the worst mascara I have tried! What a disappointment that even with the most effort, this product cannot be used. This rates a 0, not a 1.
Mascara -Cover Girl - Exact Eyelights Mascara in Black Ruby for Green Eyes

I bought this in the "waterproof" version since the regular version was sold out. The burgundy pigment in this mascara does not show up on lashes, but is a softer look than wearing black - so the colour is great for this. It looks like a muted black although some burgundy pigment shows up on the brush. This waterproof formula is near impossible to remove even with using mineral oil, soap and water.
Finding a mascara with a small list of ingredients seemed impossible until I found Ecco Bella's mascara. It was nice that it also came in brown which is rare in the all natural makeup market (black is too harsh for my colouring). I was so happy that the mascara didn't cause a reaction! At first I was satisfied with the way it coated my lashes; adding more made my lashes more dramatic. It flaked a little bit, but I prefer this over dark smudges under my eyes since the flakes can be discretely wiped away and the mascara comes off easily when using a oil free eye make up remover. My disappointment came when after a few weeks of using the product that my lashes clumped together (I don't have a lash comb...yet). The mascara started getting thicker. I am not sure what to add to the mascara to thin it out so I can continue to use it. So, for now I am using Lash Blast Volume mascara by Covergirl. Not natural, but works and doesn't sting like other big named brands.
Although I like the appearance of how this mascara looks on my lashes (it lengthens and my lashes are still flexible) I noticed my eyelids would burn and this product ended up in the garbage. It also smudged under my eyes after a couple of hours and transferred badly when taking it off. To combat this I would remove the 'leftover' mascara left under my eyes with a Q-tip and coconut oil because it got stuck in my creases (aka fine wrinkles...lol!).
This product does not burn my eyes like Maybelline's Full 'N' Soft or Clinique. I was surprised at how easy it was to apply although the brush is intimidating at first. My style is earthy and natural, so this product coats the lashes nicely without making them look fake or overdone. It's just enough to add darker pigment. I find all washable mascaras either smudge or flake. This product 'flakes' throughout the day (I simply brush it off). Flaking is better than having raccoon eyes and it comes off easily without transferring onto my lower lids in the evening. Overall I am impressed!
