Moisturizers -Nivea - Oil Free Moisturizing Fluid

I think this is the best thing i have EVER used in my 22 years! wow! amazing, i have combination skin, my cheeks are dry and T zone is an oil spill! speically my noise, so its summer time now i thought i would get something light for my face, since i wear foundation as well i wouldn't want to be loading too many stuff on my face. You know that feeling you get when you use a moisturizer with oil it in, it takes a little longer to rub it in but with this, it just sinks in! and my face feels matte but moist if that makes sense. The smell is good too!! it's a screw cap, a flip cap would be easier but that's not an issue really. The thinness of the texture is really really ideal for mixing with a little foundation to create your own TM. i've tried many TM but never found a good shade, i'm very warm and yellow and most TM i find are too pink or cool for me!! So this is great to mix my regular foundation and get the consistency i want. I love this, totally HG material

Scrubs -Bobbi Brown - Buffing Grains For Face Adzuki Bean Powder
rated 5 of 5
pimmy5 4/5/2009 11:26:00 AM

I got this in a sample and it's LOVELY, i love it so much, i havn't scrubbed for a few days so i can feel dry skin on my face, but after using this it was so smooth and feels really clean. The best part is you can add as much as you like to this... So i went online to investigate the price, to see how much it was, and at nearly £25 my lemming was killed straight away!. If it was a little cheaper i wouldn't mind as it would last for a long time. But not at £25. sorry!

Treatments -Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Acne Eliminating Gel
rated 4 of 5
pimmy5 3/15/2009 11:18:00 AM

Well i hardly get any pimples but when i do i just use this and it really does work, to my surprise every other brands doesn't really work it just sits there but this one it actually stings a little bit and i think that's when you know it's working!! the spot goes down in the morning if you put it on before bed, nothing bad has happened to my face yet !! so give it a try! ps. Tip: i found that when when i do get a pimple and i use the gel it always rubs off on my pillows so what i do is get a very small plaster ( smallest you can find) and put the spot gel on your pimple and then the plaster on top to kind of soak it in there and in the morning it's dried up completely you might look abit strange with plaster on your face but hey, you're going to bed! doesnt matter!

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dallas
rated 4 of 5
pimmy5 3/15/2009 11:13:00 AM

Ive had dallas a while back and loved the colour, gives me a nice flush and you get lots of product, however, after a few uses i got little bumps on my cheeks and it started to itch a little bit as well! so i knew that i had some sort of reaction to it, that's the only reason why i wouldn't repurchase, however i've found another alternative or dupe for Dallas and i think for me ( NC 42) NARS Lovejoy comes pretty close, of course it has the glitter but if you use it with the 187 and tap off the glitter, you would be fine

Eyeliner -MAC - Powersurge Eye Kohl
rated 4 of 5
pimmy5 3/7/2009 8:56:00 AM

I don't use this as a liner because it doesn't really show up on me (NC42) i use this as a base for my really light e/s or use it as an e/s on the lid, blend it out and put black tied or a darker e/s in the crease and outter v, i was surprise to see the colour was so pretty. Would repurchase, and i think now i'll be looking into other pretty colour eye khohl to use as base

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat
rated 4 of 5
pimmy5 2/21/2009 8:11:00 PM

I'm NC 42 and this hardly shows up on me with a light swipe however i'll get my 168 and brush it on my face ( not being careful about over doing it) so i guess for my NC 42 it's a fool proof blush!! it gives me a really natural look.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Illusionary Burning Ambition mineral duo
rated 4 of 5
pimmy5 2/5/2009 7:27:00 PM

I LOVE this colour, it's what i hoped and wish NARS Star Sailor would be. For some reason the NARS looks off on my eyes, makes me look. sick, even thou in the picture it looks warmer, but it's actually not. Illusionary is a light/yellow/gold colour with LOTS AND LOTS of sparkle ( don't think this so much, goes all over my face!! EVERY WHERE) but what i did this morning was put foundation on and then put loose powder all over my forehead and around my eyes. that helped a little, and just brush it off when you're done. Same goes for the brown side, deep brown bronze colour. LOVE this colour, i heard that MAC bronze was a dupe for this, i will update if it is, i'm getting that in the mail soon. I tried wearing Illusionary on the lids and Burning Ambition in the crease but it looks wrong for some reason, i may need to try it again but today i wear illusionary on lids and Buring Ambition on the outer V and blend blend blend. R/O for pictures ( excuse the eye pic, i put this on at 7 in the morning and i took the pic at 12:30 at night so...) ps. NARS on the right and MAC on the left. pps. the links are not working... but pics in profile! http://img.makeupalley.com/5/7/2/9/1190773.JPG

Liquid -MAC - Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
pimmy5 1/23/2009 12:07:00 PM

well i've waited a few months so i can give a proper review. The bottle comes with a pump which i think so great. i feel that it's a little dry and doesn't spread as well with a 187, but i spray abit of fix+ on before and that solves the problem. the smell over is REALLY not nice, i don't like the smell, but once u put it on you get over it quick. Also, i thought i was getting spots from using this, but i thought to my self my face might balance it out and it did, i got a few spots on my cheeks when i started using it and after a week or so it just disappeared. However, the coverage is on the light side, but if you only want a little then this is great for you. I'm NC42 don't think i would buy again, I have combo (oily) and this makes my skin even more oily.. wouldn't dare use this in the summer time.. even in winter its making my skin oily.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Shadestick in Beige-ing
rated 4 of 5
pimmy5 1/12/2009 8:25:00 AM

LOVE this stuff, is it true that it's being d/c?? Well i started off by using paint points at 1st but then bare study on my when i apply seems to sink into my eyes and there was no colour pay off at all!! so this shade stick was an alternative, the texture in my opinion is dryer than the paint point. but does not crease on your eyes. i think this colour is the closest to bare study PP ( correct me if i'm wrong) I just wear this over UDPP , no problems :)

Moisturizers -Nivea - Nivea - Nivea Visage Regenerating Night Cream for dry/sensitive skin
rated 3 of 5
pimmy5 12/16/2008 10:57:00 PM

I have this but in Normal to Combination skin. I have oily T zone and dry cheeks. This cream i have to say is very rich, for my cheeks they're acceptable but for my T zone it's an oily mess, i don't mind much since i'm going to bed but it might clog some pores. The texture is super thick, not sticky thou, just very thick and the smell is very over powering i think. It smells exactly the same as the Nivea in the little blue pots, ( does anyone know what i'm talking about?) the really thick Nivea cream, well if you do then it's pretty much the same, just a little easier to spread. I think at this rate it would like me many many months to finish the cream, maybe over a year because all i have to do is tap, not even dig in, but tap a few times and i'm set for my whole face. Good value for money i guess, but the smell is a little bit of a let down, screw top doesn't help with hygienic reasons either ps. i have notice that this make my skill 'fuller' more smooth ( a lot more smooth)

Foundations -MAC - Studio Mist Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
pimmy5 11/24/2008 8:37:00 PM

i actually REALLY like this foundation!! i got it at duty free on the way back home for a little cheaper!! I wasn't sure if it would break me out as i've heard many many bad things about MAC foundation and i also 'think' ( not sure yet) that i break out from MAC foundations with SPF, this was the only one without SPF and i needed something light for the hot weather, I got this in May and it's running out now in November, i think i can still use it for another few weeks. What i do with this is mix a little with strobe lotion, and spray a little on and mix them together, then buff it into my skin and on top of that buff MSF natural on top and then FIX + my face and just fix it all in, and overall it gives a GREAT result, REALLY love it. I might even have to say this might be HG, but for some reason MAC website does not have them up anymore, i think it might be d/c which is SOOO sad!! i went to get Satinfinish today in NC 42 and i compared both of them. Can't upload pic, it's in profile

Crème -MAC - Studio Tech
rated 3 of 5
pimmy5 10/26/2008 3:01:00 PM

i went to get some e/s from mac and decided to ask the SA to give me a sample of studio tech as i was looking for a foundation for winter, i'm using studio mist right now in med/dark and tends to match ok for me. However i was thinking that i was something like NC42 but when she tried NC 43 on me i was thinking that would be way way too dark for me!! however once i tried it on it matched fine, i've only tried it once. what i do is use my fingers and do lines across my cheeks, forehead, noise and chin and then spray on Fix + then buff it in with my MAC 187 brush. the colour matched fine but there is this cake like 'feel' on my face, but it didn't look caked or anything. i set it with loose powder and was on my way. Later that night i fell asleep on my bf's bed for an hour and woke up with stains on his pillow ( he was not impressed) so i guess stay power is not great. it does rub off easily even thou i do set it with powder. No break outs just yet.. EDIT: NC 43 is way too dark, for me, NC 42 would be good :) and it did break me out! look ages to get rid of the spots!

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Corrector
rated 3 of 5
pimmy5 6/2/2008 5:49:00 AM

well to be honest with you i reckon bobbi could have made this corrector less drying!! you need a good eye cream before applying this. I am about NC 42 ( satin finish) NC44 (Select Tint ) and Med/Dark (Studio mist) i got this from a lovely swapper because on the website it said that this was one of many colours i could use, Peach is of course a peachy colour. i find that i don't need a concealer on top of this, this by itself is fine, HOWEVER i wore this out last nite to dinner and i'm from a hot place and when i came back my under eyes were grayish, well anyway whatever colour it was it was noticeable that i had something under my eyes. Anyway i've taken a photo of one eye with and without the corrector, with no yellow based concealer on top, i thought i wouldn't be able to get away with it but i did. I honestly think that it looks pretty much the same as my moisture cover concealer once applied, in the pic i have no make up on, no foundation to even it out a little Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Blush -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Blush #5 Blackcurrant
rated 2 of 5
pimmy5 6/2/2008 5:16:00 AM

this my goodness has the be THE messiest blush i have ever used... the container however is the best looking i've ever seen. 1stly it's a around and gold with a mirror on the top which is good for taking around on your hand bag but make sure you screw the top on TIGHT so it doesn't come loose in your bag, trust me.. I found using this was VERY hard, i don't know if you're meant to lightly press it against your face, or just lightly rub, whatever way i did it i ended up getting way way too much product on my cheeks which made it very hard to spread, i did manage to find a more practical way, well which invovles a blush brush, you just dab your blush brush on the puff of the blush and get abit of colour and light dust on your cheeks, speically with this colour u have to be VERY light handed as you end up looking like a clown.
