Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Pure Skin Formulations - Vitamin C Serum

Great vitamin C serum - goes on like water, no greasy feel or residue at all. My bottle stayed clear until I had almost gotten to the bottom of it and then it turned a yellowy-orange colour. My last c-serum, Cellex-C, was the off-colour as soon as I opened the bottle. Will definitely repurchase in the summer for extra sun protection.

I have the #10 - purchased from delineation.ca - love this file. Have used it twice so far and it quickly makes my feet sandal-worthy. No, its not cheap, but I love that it can be washed/sanitized in between uses, so I'm not totally grossed out when my husband uses it too. Way better than any drug store brand!

Moisturizers -Weleda - Skin Food

Nothing has worked as well for my hands as skin food. It's the absolute best for healing my chapped hands. At first it feels greasy, but after a few minutes I'm just left with silky smooth hands. The scent is a bit strong but unoffensive since it fades quite quickly. The only downside with this product is that it is made with peanut oil (perhaps this is why it works so well?). I cannot use it at work since I'm in contact with young children throughout my workday, and can't risk sending a child into anaphylaxis over my hand cream.

This is one perfume that nearly made me swoon upon smelling it on my wrist. It is just everything I look for in a perfume - softness, complexity, and subtlety. Not even a hint of generic "perfuminess" that the majority of scents have. The perfect fall/winter perfume in my book.

It's amazing how everyone perceives a scent differently. This was a disaster on me. I'm still smelling it on my wrist 24 hrs and one shower later. I loved this scent on the paper, but on me it was a spicy mess - nothing was discernable other than maybe some patchouli/cedar combination. It was like walking through a department store at the busiest time of the year and just smelling "perfume"- generic, cheap perfume. While it didn't nauseate me per se, it left me with a lump in my throat that necessitated the need for me to continually swallow, until about an hour after application. Needless to say, this one is a NO for me.

Treatments -Neutrogena - Advanced Solutions Facial Peel [DISCONTINUED]

When I read the reviews for this product, I kind of pooh-poohed all of the people complaining about the smell. I mean, how bad could it be? Really, really bad. It smelled just barely okay in the jar, but after I applied it to my face, this smell morphed into something much worse, and I felt like I couldn't get away from it. However, I find that if I use it in my bedroom with the fan on, its more tolerable. As for the actual results, I've used it 5 or 6 times now, and I can't say its made a huge difference in my skin. What I have noticed is a reduction in the size and number of my blackheads on my nose, which I have been unsuccessfully trying to get rid of for some time. I will finish the jar and see if it continues to help my blackheads.

Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Soothing Protective Light Facial Fluid

Love this moisturizer. It is light as the name suggests, so will be best as a summer-time moisturizer, but even in the Canadian winter it has been awesome for my skin. With only 8 ingredients, it is very soothing, non-irritating and has not broken me out. Also, I love the hygienic pump packaging. I will definitely buy this again.

This was my favorite scent for a couple of years. Spicy and fresh at the same time and incredibly different. Got many many complements while wearing this one. My only concern while wearing this is that it is incredibly strong, and must be worn with caution - ie. not in close, confined quarters where the scent could offend someone else's nose.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Chai shower gel

A smell that I liked at first, but after a while the smell just turned me off. Like stale spice or something. For a supposedly 'natural' company, I don't like that it has SLS as the second ingredient in it. Maybe that's why it was so incredibly drying for my skin.

Conditioner -Terax - Crema

Love this! The packaging is not the greatest, nor is the smell, however, nothing makes my crazy/frizzy/straight/curly/fine hair feel as soft and smooth as Terax! The first time I used it, I actually gasped when I felt how soft and fluffy my hair felt after drying. I don't use every time I wash my hair -only about once a week, alternating with other, cheaper conditioners.

I think this stuff is great! For the price ($3.99 Cdn), anyone can try this and not feel burned if you don't like it. The smell is slightly sickly sweet at first, but when washed off it leaves a pleasant scent. It rinsed off very easily in the shower and left my hair more tangle-free than a regular conditioner. After styling, my hair felt soft and shiny. My hair felt weirdly 'stronger' after using this product - don't know if its doing what it claims or what, but I will definitely be using this product again.

Hair Styling Tools -Conair - 1 1/2 inch Hot Air Curling Iron and Brush
rated 5 of 5

Love this! it straightens and blows dry at the same time. My hair is crazy-straight/curly/frizzy and this straightens and gives me a cute flip on the ends.Update: finally broke down and bought a babyliss professional straightener. It blows this out of the water for how well it straightens my hair. Sooooo much faster! This conair tool is now in the appliance graveyard.

Moisturizers -Dermalogica - Active Moist

Very light/basic moisturizer. Doesn't leave me greasy or break me out. Appreciate the fact its not a tub that you dip fingers into. I'll probably buy this again, if I don't find a cheaper alternative first.

Toners -Dermalogica - Multi-active Toner

Don't like this toner, doesn't feel cleansing or refreshing, feels more hydrating than I want for a toner. This might be okay for me in winter or for drier skins.

Scrubs -Dermalogica - Skin Prep Scrub

Good, basic scrub, not too gritty or too fine. Feels like its getting rid of the dead stuff without causing irritation. Bonus that its scent free. For a scrub this basic, I wish it was cheaper.
