BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Gold Label

NOTE: If your pump stops working, the bottle is far from empty. PULL the top of the bottle up (grab onto the indent in the back and spout) to get to the inner canister.
From there, TWIST the top of the canister off and you can see that you have 85-90% of product left. That is why the bottle still feels heavy. The pump just stops working early on, which is a major flaw in the packaging. I store and use mine upside down to help the pump work a bit better.
My review: This product has replaced all my face makeup. It takes just a minute in the morning to pat and rub this in, focusing on under my eyes and T-zone, to look healthy and glowing. The sheer coverage looks my skin on a good day. It doesn't look like I have anything on my face, but it would be VERY obvious if I didn't apply anything.
I have also used the pink version and it made me look ghastly. Use the gold one if you have dry skin.

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam Eyes

Right into the trash. The dry formula and ridiculous dinky brush made it impossible to even get the product onto my eyelashes. The brush was some sort of floppy silicone with exactly four rows of bristles that were about a millimeter long.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector

I put this on two nights ago before I went to sleep. My hands are STILL soft and smooth. I haven't changed anything in my routine and use the same hand soap. The difference is how soft my hands still feel after each wash. The protective barrier finally wore off after I did a sink full of dishes without gloves. At this rate, this tube will last me forever.

BB Cream -Lioele - Waterdrop BB cream

I'm Asian with NC20 skin. Whenever I wore this product, people would tell me, without fail, that I did not look well. By midday, my face looked ashy and haggard. It also emphasized the dark circles under my eyes. I love the texture and smell, but the grey tint is too much. Even a light layer would make me look sickly. I'm glad other women have had a positive experience, but this did not work out for me.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Salux Nylon Japanese Bath Towel

This cloth gave me such amazing, soft skin at first. Everyone else has talked about its great points, but here are a few issues I came across: after using it daily, the skin on my back started breaking out and getting oilier. I never had an issue with body acne before, so it must have been this cloth. Ultimately, I had to stop using it because it started making me INCREDIBLY itchy after I got out of the shower. I thought it was due to soap build-up on the cloth, but nothing changed after I cleaned it. This cloth can be too harsh for daily use and end up stripping too much of your natural oils. I tried to keep mine to use for once in awhile, but if you leave it in the shower without using it, it gets mildewy, so I just chucked it.

Polishes -Sinful - Savage
picklegirl 4/25/2011 2:11:00 PM
This is a bright teal with a surprising matte finish! It dries very quickly due to its thin formula, but the color is opaque after two coats. I gave it a four because I can't quite get used to the finish... it looks like I have teal chalk on my nails. The lack of glossiness makes the color jump out more, but there is no depth. However, the color looks great against my pale Asian skin and the combination of brightness and matte is very unique, especially for 99 cents! If matte isn't always your thing, you can add a top coat for shine.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Maximum Growth plus Nourishing Nail Color in Vanilla Whimsy
picklegirl 12/22/2010 11:31:00 PM
This is a terrible nail polish in so many ways. On me (pale olive skin), this looks pasty and goopy, as if I dabbed lotion on my nails, with just two thin coats. It looks like this nice pale peach in the bottle, but it's a milky streaky mess. After a few hours, I rubbed my nails on my jeans by accident and they smudged! I've never had a nail polish take so long to dry. I bought this on clearance, but I would take it back if I could.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Naturale
picklegirl 10/28/2010 1:31:00 AM
This is the strangest mascara I have ever used. Some days it'll go on smoothly and give me clean definition and simply darkened lashes, just like I hoped for. And other days, it's more like bare naturale spider legs. It's not as if it's gradually drying out, because it varies by day. I just put it on in the morning and hope I'm lucky. Despite the little brush of unpredictability it adds to my life, I'll purchase something more reliable next time.

Lipstick -Neutrogena - Moistureshine Lipstick - Rum Raisin

For a full-coverage lipstick, this color matches my lips so well that I almost can't tell it's there. I have light Asian skin and this pinkish brown is like my lip color but more vibrant. The finish is matte and it wears for quite a few hours, so it's a great work lipstick that will hang on until lunch. I got this on clearance (possibly to be discontinued?) so the price wasn't an issue at all. I love the clear plastic tube that lets me exactly what color is inside, although I would put it in a secure pocket because the cap is a bit loose.

Shampoo -TiGi - Rockaholic All Access Shampoo Bar
picklegirl 9/1/2010 6:20:00 PM
This is a great shampoo bar that lathers decently, rinses clean, and doesn't melt in the shower. It seems like it should last for quite a while since it holds up so well. My hair is soft, shiny, and smooth, even without using conditioner. There isn't any build-up as far as I can tell. It also works well as a regular soap in hot, sticky weather. I got this for free, but I believe it normally costs about $8. The only drawback is its pungent deodorant/cologne scent. It smells very masculine. My whole family was using this and now it smells like a frathouse here. The smell doesn't linger much on my hair though. It's also bright neon green.

Shampoo -Organix - Coconut Milk Shampoo
picklegirl 7/15/2010 5:40:00 AM
Never has a shampoo actually inspired pure anger. I too bought it because it was supposedly organic, good for you, and came in a cute bottle. I lost the receipt, so I really tried to make this work... it took a few weeks of dealing with an itchy scalp, thick white flaky buildup, and dead, dry, coarse hair before I finally stuck it on the kitchen sink to use as hand soap. It even failed at that --- I couldn't rinse off the coconut film completely and it sucked all the moisture out of my hands. Not surprising considering how it ravaged my hair. I finally hurled it into the trash. The smell of coconut still pisses me off because of this terrible shampoo.

Polishes -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Pro - Steel Grey
picklegirl 6/23/2010 5:10:00 AM
Everyone has described the color well enough, so I won't go into it again. I will say though, that multiple women have told me that my nails are "the perfect grey" and asked me for the brand and color. This is a very flattering (light olive skin), subtle, and sophisticated shade and provides a welcome option to a sheer palette like Essie's. I have never had so many people ooh and ahh over my nails, and I usually go for fancy duochrome or bold colors.

Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship
picklegirl 4/4/2010 3:06:00 AM
Waxy build-up. I tried everything -- rotating with a clarifying shampoo, rinsing more -- nothing worked. Hours after I washed my hair, it would feel filmy and coated, and the next day, I would wake up to sticky dandruff-looking flakes. No thank you. Even rotating this in once a week didn't work for me -- that one time was enough for the build-up to come back. After trying for weeks, I eventually passed both the shampoo and conditioner on to a friend. Complete disappointment.

Mascara -Maybelline - Define A Lash Volume Mascara
picklegirl 12/23/2009 11:34:00 PM
I'm not picky about mascaras, because I just want something black and natural looking. I buy whatever is on sale, as long as it doesn't say colossal or extreme. This mascara was completely useless. I've been trying to get it to work because I don't want the hassle of returning it, but it keeps clumping up and giving me scary spider lashes. Even if I just try to put on one thin coat, it makes my eyelashes stick together and feel heavy and toxic. There is no definition, volume, or length--- just sticky clumps. Wow. Talk about false advertising.

Lotions/ Creams -St. Ives - Vitamin E Advanced Body Moisturizer
picklegirl 10/20/2009 4:10:00 AM
This lotion is light while delivering satisfying moisture. It seems to soothe my dry, flaky skin and lasts for awhile. I keep it right by the sink and it works amazingly well as a hand moisturizer --- sinks in right away, not greasy at all. The smell is what would keep me from purchasing it again. It verges on old lady floral. To give it credit, it does smell like real flowers, but I have a huge aversion to floral scents and didn't think that a Vitamin E lotion would smell like that.
