I love this deodorant. When I first purchased my 1"x2" block for about $3, I thought it might be old, because it was really dry and rough on the outside. I cut off the outer layer (~1/8") with a knife and it was nice and soft inside. I keep it in a plastic bag to keep it from drying out. If you try to apply the dried-out edge of this product, it will likely be very irritating. I apply it generously to dry, clean armpits in an up-and-down motion. There are occasionally tiny little hard bits in the block, so before I apply I lightly run my finger over the business end of the block and use a fingernail to remove any of these bits before I apply. It only takes a couple of seconds and I don't find it bothersome. It hasn't left any marks on my clothes and doesn't leave the residue that antiperspirant can. Now, is it effective? To me, yes. Even after a sweaty yoga class, I don't smell bad. At first I obsessively smelled myself to make sure I wasn't stinky, since I have not had luck with any other deodorant-only (not antiperspirant) products. I want to be very clear that I don't think this product eliminates every scent of body odor. However, the patchouli scent is a little musky, and I think it very effectively mixes with and masks a light natural odor, while the other ingredients help prevent strong, offensive odors. I am completely fine with this level of effectiveness. If you are looking for complete and total elimination of odor, this may not be the product for you. I think it is a very good value because after over a month of use, I can't tell a difference in the size of my small chunk. I will definitely repurchase (if I ever run out!).

Pressed Powders -Urban Decay - De-Slick Mattifying Powder

This powder completely took the shine off my face after I applied sunscreen, and lasted all day. It goes on sheer and has a very subtle shimmer that keeps you from looking too matte. On the pricey side, but very worth it IMO.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Wet/Dry Shadow [DISCONTINUED]

These are the best, most easily blendable powder eyeshadows I've used, at any price. The colors are rich, the shimmers are not too sparkly, they don't crease easily, and the price is right. I like the groupings in the four-color sets. I use at least one color from the Sandstone set on an almost-daily basis. The new Colorstay quads seem to be the same formulation as the old Wet/Dry. Love.

Styling Products -Garnier - Fructis Style Surf Hair

I've got chin-length layered hair, and this product gives me the texture and separation I want without making my hair greasy. It's dirt cheap, and it rocks! The neon packaging is kind of sucky, though.
