Powders -Smashbox - Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder

I bought this product when it debuted on QVC, tried it, and really didn't think it was so hot. Then a few months later, I decided to give it another try. And I really like it now. It leaves my skin very natural looking, while it also evens out the skin tone. I purchased it in Light, and since it is summer I do need to put bronzer (Nars Laguna) over it. Together, I've got my perfect foundation solution. The one drawback is that it is pricey at $59.
Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper [DISCONTINUED]

I have always rotated between Dior and Max Factor mascara. 2000 calorie extreme lash plumper is now my favorite. You can tell it does the job right when you can see your eye lashes stand out in pictures, and this one absolutely does the trick. Well worth the money.
Mascara -Revlon - 3D Extreme Mascara - Blackest Black

The packaging and pretty silver tube caught my attention when shopping in CVS. I can honestly say, this is the worst mascara I've ever used.
Liquid -Christian Dior - Capture Totale Liquid Foundation SPF15

I was using Giorgio Armani foundation and decided to give this one a try. My color match, Linen, is great for my light, cool skin tone; coverage is super. One tip I was given, that I'd like to pass on, is to apply it by dabbing it on with a brush rather than just using long paint brush strokes. This makes a real difference in giving the makeup staying power throughout the day.
You've got to get familiar with this type of product in order to appreciate it. At first, I didn't like it; but that was because I wasn't applying it right. For those who say it doesn't last, the trick is to set the product by lightly brushing on powder blush over the top. Hope you find this tip useful.
Treatments -Bare Escentuals - Rare Minerals Blemish Therapy

I'm a woman in my fifties, but still have problems with breakouts and several products tend to clog my pores. This spot treatment is extraordinary. I noticed differences within one day of using it. I apply it over Rare Minerals night treatment and love the results.
I always fall back to this as my daily favorite. It makes my pores disappear and my skin looks smooth and even. It took me awhile to get the right shade; now I mix two together. It not that bad because I buy it when its on sale, buy one get one free. I do see the benefits to my skin with this foundation.
I wanted this product to be the answer to the dark shadows under my eyes. But it doesn't do the trick for me. I find the product much to thick and oily. It sits on the skin rather than blending seamlessly into it. And the worst part is that it settles into the fine lines around the eyes. I suppose it works for those who have perfectly smooth skin. Unfortunately, that is not me.
Mascara -Maybelline - Unstoppable Mascara [DISCONTINUED]

If you want lengthening, this is the product to try. I go up and back between thickening and lengthening mascaras. I use to think the high end brands would have to be the best (Dior, Giorgio Armani, etc.) In the end, I have found Unstoppable to be the one that makes people notice my lashes. I've gotten comments on how long my lashes look when I'm wearing it. And everyone is right, it does not smudge or move from morning till night. Its really good.
Styling Products -Nick Chavez - Sexy N Sassy Hairspray
pencakcm 9/9/2006 12:41:00 PM
This is the worst hairspray I have ever tried; and I've tried many. I do like many of Nick Chavez's other styling products, but this is bad. It made my hair stiff. Couldn't get a comb through it!
