Mascara -Chanel - Le Volume De Chanel
peachykeen01 1/7/2013 4:32:00 AM
Yes!!! I have FINALLY found my HG mascara!! This stuff is amazing! I have have long lashes, so volume is my main focus with mascara. I have tried all kinds of mascaras; YSL, Dior, Benefit, Lancome, Estee Lauder, and almost every drugstore mascara out there. I have tried a couple other Chanel mascaras but was not that impressed with them considering the price tag. I used to use 2 or 3 mascaras to get the desired look I wanted. Then I bought this...no need to use any other mascara! Just one coat and my lashes are super black, thick, and perfectly curled. I don't even need to use my eyelash curler with this mascara. It's that good. It has cut down how long it takes me to do my make-up since I just do 2 quick coats of this. Definitely worth the $30!!

Makeup Brushes -Shiseido - Perfect Foundation Brush
peachykeen01 1/7/2013 4:22:00 AM
Let me start off by saying I have been a die-hard user of the MAC 190 brush (later on Chanel, but still the same type of brush) for 10 years, and I never thought I would find anything better. I own the MAC 187 also, but I don't really like it for foundation as its too big and I feel applies foundation too sheer for my liking. I was eyeing this brush for months and finally caved in and bought it. BEST FOUNDATION BRUSH EVER! I use it with my MAC Studio Tech, and it gives the most flawless finish. Very good coverage. I actually feel like I use less foundation with this brush. Blends way better than my old foundation brush, so I actually spend LESS time on my foundation with this. I would definitely recommend this brush to anyone looking for a good foundation brush. I believe it was only $30, which IMO is a good price considering my Chanel one was over $40.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
peachykeen01 11/27/2012 4:33:00 AM
For the record, I can't stand the original Colorstay liquid foundation. Way too cakey...and this is coming from someone that likes heavy foundations. But I love creme foundations, so I decided to give this a try. I bought it in the shade natural tan, which is a good match for my NC40 skin. Medium coverage that is buildable. The only problem is I feel like it takes a couple minutes to "set" and then it will cling to any even *slightly* dry patch of skin you have. I apply it with my Chanel foundation brush. I actually like the packaging, I know it's bulking but it makes it seem like a more high-end foundation. I'm on the fence with this one...I'd give it 3.5 lippies. I probably would not purchase again, for drugstore foundation I prefer Maybelline Superstay.

Liquid -Maybelline - Super Stay Makeup
peachykeen01 11/27/2012 4:26:00 AM
This is definitely in my top 5 foundations. I tend to use this in the summer, and use Studio Tech in the fall/winter when my skin gets a bit drier. I wear the shade true beige. Great match for my NC40 skin, not orange at all. Great coverage, lasts all day (I've worn for over 12+ hours), and never irritates my skin. Would recommend to someone that likes foundations such as Revlon Colorstay and EL Double Wear.

Powder -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder
peachykeen01 11/27/2012 4:20:00 AM
This is a pretty good setting powder for the price. Definitely NOT a powder foundation as this offers no coverage. Lots of shades...I believe I had the W6. Comparable to MAC Select Sheer powder. I switched back to Studio Fix though, because I like the coverage better and also lasts longer than this. This works better in the winter, as it really doesn't control oil at all. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with oily skin. However, if I was low on cash, I would repurchase.

Mascara -Milani - Total Lash Cover
peachykeen01 11/27/2012 3:56:00 AM
I am always trying new mascaras, so I was excited to see this at Walmart the other day. I was intrigued by the 3-sided brush, having green and white bristles like a traditional mascara, with alternating plastic bristles. I tend to like most Milani products but this mascara was a HUGE dissapointment. The main problem with it is that the plastic bristles are VERY sharp, they hurt! I couldn't apply this without feeling I was on the verge of poking my eye out. I have a Sonia Kashuk metal eyelash comb, and that's comparable to how sharp the bristles are. Also, when you pull the wand out of the tube, tons of mascara is on the end of the wand, resulting in a lot of waste. If they had made the plastic bristles softer, this might work. I would give this 0 lippies I could. Waste of $3.99!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #116 Blush Brush
peachykeen01 11/13/2012 4:25:00 AM
This brush is great for contouring and applying blush. The hairs are very soft. My only problem is it sheds...not as bad as the 129, but still, when I spend $34 on a brush, I don't expect it to start shedding the first couple of times I use it. I can deal with it for now but eventually I am going to look for a replacement for it...

Eyeliner -Revlon - REVLON COLORSTAY CRÈME GEL EYE LINER (all colors)
peachykeen01 11/13/2012 4:18:00 AM
I have yet to find a drugstore gel liner that is comparable to MAC Fluidline or Bobbi Brown's gel liners. I believe I paid $9 for this at Walgreens...the pot is ridiculously small. The brush it comes with is way too big and applies it very thick. Starts fading after a couple of hours and smudging within another. Also it dries out very fast. I wasn't too happy with the Maybelline gel liner either, but it is about the same as this and cheaper. As always, I bought this in black. I would rather pay more and just buy MAC Fluidline.

Deodorants -Secret - Clinical Strength
peachykeen01 11/13/2012 4:10:00 AM
I have the waterproof one. I sweat a lot...and this is the only deodorant that works for me. I apply it as soon as soon as I dry off from a shower. If I don't apply it ASAP I find it doesn't work. It is expensive compared to other deodorants, but it is well worth it for me.

Concealers -MAC - Pro Longwear concealer
peachykeen01 11/13/2012 4:06:00 AM
My favorite MAC concealer. Not as thick and cakey as Studio Finish. Covers well and lasts all day. The only concealer I have bought for awhile now...I'm on my 3rd one. I use Prep+Prime Natural Radiance, this concealer, Studio Tech, and Studio Fix.

Primer/ Corrector -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Skin Illuminating Primer
peachykeen01 11/13/2012 3:57:00 AM
I have been using MAC Prep+Prime for years but was being cheap one day and decided to try this. What a mistake! Used it for a week and noticed I was getting pimples. I also dislike the slick 'silicone-y' feeling of it...feels like it never sinks in, just sits on top of your face. Tossed it and have been using the Prep+Prime Natural Radiance, which I love! Guess this product works for some, but not for me.

Bronzers -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Give Me Sun!
peachykeen01 11/13/2012 3:51:00 AM
MAC NC40 here. I love using this to contour as you can really build up the color however much you want. Not glittery so it looks very natural. Looks best on anyone thats NC25-NC40.

Lip Liners -NYX - Slim Lip Pencil - Dolly Pink 839 (was Barbie Pink)
peachykeen01 11/13/2012 3:47:00 AM
Goes well with colors like Saint German, Chatterbox, Snob. I also like to use it with some of my brighter pinks like Impassioned to kind of lighten them up a bit. You can't go wrong with the NYX lip liners...at $2 a piece and tons of colors, there's nothing to lose! Recommend these to everyone.

Lip Liners -NYX - Slim Lip Pencil - Hot Pink 845
peachykeen01 11/13/2012 3:43:00 AM
If you like hot pink lipsticks, you must own this liner!! I use it with my MAC Show Orchid, Pink Nouveau, Maybelline Fuschia Fever, etc. Helps keep lipsticks stay in place and not bleed. Dirt cheap too..I believe I got all of my NYX lip liners for $2 each. I have purchased several colors and recommend them to everyone!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Black Lacquer
peachykeen01 11/13/2012 3:38:00 AM
This is an amazing mascara!! Not a ton of length (which is not what I look for anyway since I already have long lashes) but gives amazing volume, without it being clumpy. Love that the brush is tapered so you can really cover all of your lashes. Super black color Doesn't flake. I use this with Maybelline Falsies on top (because I can never use just one mascara). Took a lippie off because it dries out faster than any other mascara I've tried before. Less than 4 weeks after I bought it, it had already dried out. Clump city after that. Price isn't bad though so I have already repurchased a 2nd tube.
