Polishes -OPI - Hoodoo Voodoo
peachygurl 7/14/2008 6:22:00 AM
This is a perfect example of colour-therapy. When my manicurist painted my nails, it brightened my mood up instantly! On my NC20 asian chinese skin, it is so cheerful and pretty. The colour chipped about 4 days later, but only so slightly. Another beauty of this colour is that darkens from a light-medium rosy pink to a medium-deep pinky berry on your nails with time. To me, this is the sister to My Throne For A Cranberry Scone. Where MTFACS is more sophisticated and elegant, Hoodoo is playful and for days you let your hair down! P.S. If your nails are short, as in "play-the-piano-short", this colour will look perfect on them.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Cocomotion Pigment (Rushmetal)
peachygurl 8/10/2007 8:38:00 PM
It's another shimmery burnished gold/khaki color. I thought it would flatter dark brown-haired and eyes. But it made my complexion look dirty. Too warm. Ouch. NC25, olive skintone, pink undertones.

Eye Shadow -MAC - pigment in Mauvement
peachygurl 8/10/2007 8:22:00 PM
It is as the others describe. However, on my lids, I see a tinge of lavender as well, hence I paired it with Deep purple pigment on the outer-V and quietly pigment in the center. The texture in the jar is a less gritty version of steel blue/rose, but unlike them, Mauvement glides onto my lids without flaking. It also lasted the whole day 8am-10pm on my lids. A keeper.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Revved Up pigment
peachygurl 8/1/2007 10:04:00 AM
I'm surprised no one has reviewed this pigment yet. Revved Up is one of 8 pigments in the Rushmetal Collection. It's a shimmery neutral medium pink with some peach tones. This would suit both cool and warm skintones. I'm an NC25-30 with olive skintones. It would look great on the eyes for PPPs or MMM/GGGs, but I bought it with the intention of using it solely as a blush. When applied with the 187 stippling brush, it gives me gorgeous fresh, glowy, pinched-pink cheeks. I prefer the effect over any MSF I've tried! I like it very much but I doubt I'll finish the whole jar. This is the prettiest pink MAC has come up with in a very long time.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Retrospeck (Lustre)
peachygurl 7/7/2007 8:52:00 AM
This is a long overdue tribute. Retrospeck is a shimmery champagne gold less the grainy, flaky bits you would get in other lustre eyeshadows, eg idol eyes. It is extremely versatile as others have mentioned, it can be used to mute metallic colours and I use it as a highlighter on the brow bone whenever I am using a bright colour on my upper lid. I've already gone through one pot and am halfway through my 2nd. Asian chinese, NC25, yellow undertones, slightly cool.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Rayothon
peachygurl 6/11/2005 11:41:00 AM
Like most other women here, I have in my lipgloss arsenal, too many pink coloured lipglosses. When I went down to the store today, I had in mind NOT to get rayothon or any of the other lipglasses. Afterall, it would just be "another pink lipgloss". However this medium neutral pink lipgloss looked very different on my lips. You could say it is a more muted/fleshy version of Baby Pink Cherry lipgloss, with similar sparkly silver shimmer, but still it is different. Different enough for me to add it to my collection. It looks like a fun & sweet barbie pink, but yet so muted it also makes for a polished pinkish tinge on the lips And I know for sure I won't regret this purchase. Do get it while you can, since along with everything else in the Belle Azure collection, it is a Limited Edition.

Fragrance -Yohji Yamamoto - Yohji Homme
peachygurl 6/10/2005 2:17:00 AM
I purchased this as a gift for my husband while transitting to meet him in London. It is a very intoxicating male scent, and is particularly sensual when it has been worn for an entire day. As mentioned earlier, it is a spicy scent, and I wear it at times, just because I like it so much.

Moisturizers -Sisley - Restorative Facial Cream - Creme Reparatrice
peachygurl 6/10/2005 2:11:00 AM
The skin on my cheeks and forehead were very prone to peeling whenever I had my dry moments. It happened so regularly that it started to itch, especially around the mouth area. Ever since I started using this moisturiser, I've never had to deal with patchy makeup as a result of itty bitty dry skin. It has also smoothened out lines around my eyes. I am very very pleased.

Fragrances -Chanel - Chance
peachygurl 6/10/2005 2:05:00 AM
I must admit the first time I encountered this perfume, my initial thought was of a cheap disappointment from Chanel. However I tried it again several months later and I fell in love with it. Subtle elegance, sweetness and fun all rolled into one. I have this now in the EDP and the Parfum. One spray of the parfum lasts me the entire day.

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Miss Dior Cherie

Only two words. Dolly Girl (Anna Sui). This smelled exactly like DG, and I am surprised that a house like CD would put out a fragrance of this originality and quality. Truly disappointing.

Eyeliner -MAC - Blue Yonder
peachygurl 6/10/2005 1:56:00 AM
This is the most striking eyeliner shade I have seen in a long while. I got the chance to test brand new BA testers before they were displayed, with my regular MA. It was the first time he and I were looking at the eyeliner and when I drew a line on my hand, it was instant love between us. Between BY and I, that is. I am asian, NC30 with dark brown hair. This eyeliner instantly brightens up the eyes, and is a must-have for asians. Very pretty. The perfect silvery blue for me since I love silverplate and tin-tin as well.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Leisuretime
peachygurl 6/3/2005 2:09:00 PM
A slightly shimmery berry/maroon colour of great texture. I find this the most interesting (of the 3 bright colours, Lucky Green, Belle Azure & this). Especially pretty on brunettes and asians.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Magnetique
peachygurl 6/3/2005 2:05:00 PM
Awful. A bright magenta that's too goopy to apply lightly. Too highly pigmented as well. Nothing special about it. I find it rather unwearable. Otherwise the sleek rose-gold packaging makes it good eyecandy. :)

Highlighters -MAC - Quiver Pearlizer Sheer Pigment
peachygurl 6/3/2005 2:02:00 PM
This is the prettiest of the three pearlizers released in this collection. A gorgeous bronzer that can be used as is or mixed into your moisturiser to give you a glow or even as a blush when applied very lightly. Only gripe I have is that the pearlizer products are not as unique as I'd expected them to be. The packaging is cute, but that's about it.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Lucky Green
peachygurl 6/3/2005 1:57:00 PM
Finally, a different type of green from MAC. I was growing tired of looking at greens at the MAC counter. As much as the colour is indeed very pretty, I don't see myself wearing this often enough to buy it. Pretty to look at but not versatile enough.
