Tinted Moisturizer -Neutrogena - Healthy Defense Tinted Moisturizer in Light SPF 30

My face is usually very oily, and I've found this product is too greasy for me. I do like the color and the price, but on my next purchase I'm going for the oil free version.

Liquid -Almay - Nearly Naked Touch-Pad liquid makeup

Yuck, this goes on greasy and way too thin, and leaves my skin feeling tight and bumpy. It gives NO coverage at all, and I've tried applying it in different ways. It seems like a rip off. They took their regular foundation, watered it down, and put it into a teeny weeny touch pad case and charged me the same price. Thank goodness I got it on sale.

Cleansers -Aveeno - Skin Clarifying Cleanser
rated 5 of 5

I love this stuff. My b/f has had bad acne since 13, and nothing else has worked for him. He's tried everything from pills to prescription creams. I have very oily skin, and this leaves my face smooth and soft. And at 6.99, it's a great bargain. Try it! We noticed results in the first month or two of use.

Pressed Powders -Cover Girl - Clean
rated 4 of 5
pdlsprite 9/5/2003 7:24:00 PM

This is the frangrance free version of CG's regular pressed powder. It gives me a nice finished look without becoming caked in fine lines, and doesn't irritate my skin. I am a PPP with red undertones, and I use creamy natural. This matches my skin tone very well, and takes care of oils.

Concealers -Cover Girl - Invisible Concealer

I've finally found a concealer that matches my skintone, and conceals the dark circles under my eyes. I am a PPP with red undertones, so I use the Light concealer. This product doesn't cake or flake off, I'm very pleased with a very inexpensive purchase!

Powders -Urban Decay - Cake Powder

This is the first shimmery body powder I've tried, and I'm afraid it might be my last. I'm just not glamerous enough to wear it :). I was hoping to enjoy the smell/flavor, but it was too sweet in both arenas. And the size for the price? (gasp) yikes. I may look into body lotions with shimmer, but this was also a little too messy for me.

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Cream with Olive Oil
rated 4 of 5
pdlsprite 8/4/2003 12:53:00 PM

This has come closer to taming my frizz than another other product I've tried, and I've tried a bunch! The glossing cream works better than FF's other product, Smooth Hair. It's worth the price, as you only need a very small amount (the smaller the better, or you go greasy). I use this right out of the shower, and if needed, after my hair dries. This is a great product for ladies who don't really have the time or inclination to blow dry their hair in the mornings, but don't want to put up with the frizz. It left my hair very smooth and shiney. I will repurchase.

Eye Shadow -Smashbox - Creme Eyeshadow
rated 3 of 5
pdlsprite 7/21/2003 2:58:00 PM

I have smashing cashmere, a light white/peach high lighter. Shows up in the light very well, but otherwise invisible. I put this on my brow arch and sometimes in the corners of my eyes. I wouldn't swap for one again, because there's no point in spending so much for something I could have really done without.

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Smooth Hair
rated 3 of 5

This product didn't take down my frizzies. The smell was pleasant, and it made my hair very soft, but for $17, I expected it to do what it said on the package. Try FF's Glossing Cream with Olive Oil, it works so much better!

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Mango Mandarin Shower Gel
rated 4 of 5
pdlsprite 5/12/2003 1:06:00 AM

This smells a little like Body Shop's Satsuma gel. Not a dead ringer, but pretty close. Perhaps a little sweeter, with a bit of peach scent thrown in. The gel formula doesn't dry out my skin, and the price ($8) was a good deal. All in all, a good purchase. I don't know if it's nice enough to keep in my regular rotation, though.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Aromatherapy Lavender Vanilla Sleep
rated 4 of 5
pdlsprite 5/12/2003 1:01:00 AM

This is not bad at all. Two of my favorite scents mixed together, in a fairly moisterising body cream. A little goes a long way, and you get a nice size for the price. My boyfriend says it smells soapy, but I don't really get that. It's really calmed me down for bed time, and smells very sexy and relaxing. I've bought a big tub so I won't run out anytime soon, but when I do I'll probably repurchase.

Lip Treatments -Badger - Lemon Ginger LipBalm
rated 3 of 5
pdlsprite 5/8/2003 12:49:00 PM

Ok, let me start out by saying I collect cute little tins like this, so I may be biased. I like that I can look at the ingredient list for this balm, and think "hey, I could make this". It's a little too slick for me, perhaps I need a formula with more beeswax. It doesn't last as long as some lip balms out there, I'd say I re-apply every 10 minutes. I love the scent, I'm a huge fan of Ginger anything, but I'm afraid if I put too much of this on, I'll become sick of ginger. It's a wonderfully true scent, as it has real essential oil. The addition of lemongrass oil in it may have been overkill, though. It makes me feel like I'm smearing thai food on my lips. All in all, I may buy this balm again, but in a different scent. Heck, I may collect them all just for the tins.

Conditioner -Garnier - FRUCTIS conditioner
rated 4 of 5
pdlsprite 5/8/2003 12:43:00 PM

This is a very nice conditioner for the price. I had previously used Freeman De-Frizz, which worked fairly well, and I would say that Garnier works just a bit better. My hair felt tamed without weighed down or greasy. It doesn't take away all the frizzies, so my search may continue.

Shampoo -Bumble & Bumble - Seaweed Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
pdlsprite 5/5/2003 1:59:00 PM

I bought this shampoo yesterday, and I really like it! Not drying at all, but doesn't make your hair greasy/oily either. The smell is very nice, maybe a little less natural than I would like. This is a great daily/every other day shampoo for all hair types. After using, my hair felt light, very soft, and shiney. It's worth the money IMO, because you don't need very much, and the little bottles last a long time, maybe a few months. I think I'll repurchase, and try the Sunday Shampoo next, for my detox shampoo.

Eye Shadow -Jane - Eyezing in Magical Mushroom [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
pdlsprite 5/1/2003 5:58:00 PM

This is the most beautiful copper brown shade I've ever owned!!!! It goes on smooth, lasts, and I can't believe how cheap it is! I saved myself money, without sacrificing quality, IMO. This shade is a gorgeous medium brown, with copper and gold highlights. It really does make your eyes stand out, and isn't boring at all. I'm so happy that everyone at MUA was reccomending this, and I'm lucky I found it, as I understand it's discontinued. I may have to go out and stock up on a couple more, as they are selling them at my local Rite Aid.
