Eye Shadow -Jane Iredale - eye gloss

I know this is a strange eyeshadow but I must say it is the only eyeshadow I have found that never irritates my ultra sensitive eyes. If you can't use any other shadow because of sensitivity, this might work for you.

Liquid -Clarins - Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Foundation
pauliewalnuts 11/5/2012 3:27:00 PM
For years I have had to use mineral makeup because liquids would clog my pores and/or cause breakouts. This fall I just had to make some changes because the mineral was looking bad on my older, dryer skin. I finally tried this one, and after using it for 3 weeks - no clogs, no breakouts - and my skin looks great. It covers redness, looks natural, and feels great. It is not cheap but is certainly less than I have paid for some other brands.

Powder -Lancome - Ageless Minerale Skin-Transforming Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 21

I have some wrinkles, rosacea, clog prone, sensitive skin - and this foundation is the best I have ever used. It does not accent wrinkles, it soothes my sensitive skin,it does not cause breakouts or clog pores, it covers red, and it looks beuatiftully sheer while doing it. It is expensive but cheaper than buying new products looking for HG. I found it. The Lancome brush for application is the softest brush I have ever had - absolutely does not bother my sensitive skin and makes application look flawless. I have had to learn over and over that I cannot use liquid or cream foundation - glad I found this.

Sunscreen -MD Formulations - total protector spf 30

I do like this sunscreen on my sensitive skin. It does not clog my pores. It is not shiny, blends with my skin, and my foundation goes over it nicely. I use it over my obagi vit C 5% and no balling up, no sliming. It is great when your favorite products actually work together.

Treatments -MD Formulations - Continiuous Renewal Serum

I use the sensitive skin formula of this product. It is fantastic - refreshes my sensitive, rosacea skin without any irritation. It really is the only thing I can use long term. I stray but always come back to this. It does make my skin smoother, fresher looking - makeup goes on better - without peeling.

Styling Products -Bumble & Bumble - Defrizz
pauliewalnuts 5/19/2010 10:57:00 AM
I had tried this product about a year ago and thought it was awful. I was using it on dry hair. Now, I apply the tiniest amount to my hair that is still wet - towel dried - from using the B&B quenching shampoo & conditioner. This seems to seal the moisture into my hair. Before figuring this out, I would wash and condition with all kinds of great moisturing products and my hair might be fine for a few hours and then would start drying out until it was hideous looking - colorless, lifeless, poufy, basically dead looking. Now I know that Defrizz will seal your hair - moisture in or moisture out depending on when you use it.

Primer/ Corrector -LORAC - Aquaprime
pauliewalnuts 9/8/2009 4:04:00 PM
I mix this with the LORAC oil free neutralizer and it works wonderfully to cover rosacea redness. The neutralizer alone was hard to spread - this fixes the problem. Now I am able to use the tiniest bit of Jane Iredale pressed minerals to give me a finished, no-makeup look.

Eye Primer -Jane Iredale - Lid Primer
pauliewalnuts 8/6/2009 12:10:00 PM
I bought this in lemon to counteract the red/purple in my eyelids and to smoothe out the crepey skin before applying the Jane Iredale lid gloss. I pat a very small amount of the primer on and then apply the eyegloss or just go with the primer alone. If you have discolored eyelids or dry, crepiness, this works extremely well. From the negative reviews it appears that this is not for thoses with oily eyelids. But - it is great for those of us with dry lids and discoloration - in other words, older ladies.
