Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer

First I will say, I don't use this everyday but on days when I know my makeup needs to last 8+ hours. 2nd I will say for someone that has suffered from acne for more than I want to recall, this product does not cause me any problems what-so-ever from regular acne to cystic acne, no problems. 3rd a little goes a long way, so if you buy it, it will last you a super long time. This is definitely a HG product for me, apply your moisterizer and let it set, THEN add the primer, let IT set and then move on to your foundation and/or concealer. I've tried some of the tinted versions but returned them, the basic version is all I need. This is fantastic with Bare Ensentuals bare minerals foundation. I've tried the various tubes, ect. and find the pump is the best of all.

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Airflash

After reading all the reviews, I was hesitant to purchase but decided to take the chance. My number one issue is that despite loving the look, it just does not stay on for very long. I use it with Smashbox Primer and half way through the day, all my flaws are showing right through (I have some spotty pigmentation and some average acne scars). That being said, I have to say I do absolutely love the look, my face looks flawless and people who see me often will actually comment (not knowing what's different) that my skin looks radiant. I've tried different application methods (kabuki, sponge, fingers, etc.). I've also tried applying it without primer in case that was somehow causing it to disappear from my face but that didn't work either. I use bare escentuals bisque concealer underneath and always layer with my foundation. I never have an issue with my flaws showing through when using any other foundation on top of my BE bisque but only with this. I would be more than willing to pay the steep price if I could maintain "the look" for more than 3 or 4 hours. Bummer.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Loose Pigment - Smog
rated 3 of 5

When I tested this at Sephora, I thought the color was beautiful (smog) and I liked the packaging -- it's similar to mascara in that there is a tube but instead of the brush wand, it is a brush to apply the shadow. However, after I got it home and applied it, I just found it too messy. Flecks of shadow fell on my cheeks no matter how little product I tried to use with the brush. Then I tried placing a tissue under my eyes to catch the smatterings, but it was just still too messy for my taste. I even tried using a qtip to apply a dab, but then I had too little on the q-tip. I think these loose style shadows are just not for me personally. the color lasted for a good portion of the door but there was definately some creasing at the end of the day even with a primer.

Eyeliner -MAC - Teddy eye kohl

I bought this based on the rave reviews here and I did absolutely love the color, however, just wanted to post a warning for those with sensitive eyes. After wearing this, my eyes got itchy, red and irritated precisely where I had used the liner. Although I have sensitive eyes, I can usually wear liner in shades of black, brown or navy. But this one has something added to it to give a little bit of shimmer and that's what caused my reaction. Just a friendly warning if you are prone to irritation.

Cleansers -DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
rated 3 of 5

I have issues with acne and have been taking prescriptions to keep it under control for a couple of years now. I do not break out from using this product. I only use it 2 or 3 times a week when I feel I need a real good, gentle cleansing on my skin and for eye makeup removal. I don't find that it leaves any residue at all afterwards. I rotate use of this with Cetaphil cleanser. I feel the price is moderate and a little bit goes a long way.

Eye Shadow -Almay - Bright Eyes Color Cream shadow

I bought the cream eyeshadow in lilac and was thrilled with the results. It gave me a real eye-popping look (I have blue eyes) without be too bright and clownish. The best part....stays on all day with no oily creases. I went back and bought every shade available. I wasn't too thrilled with the tube because even though I barely touch the tube to get product out, I inevitably get extra ooze that gets stuck in the cap when I cap it up. I highly recommend this product.

Styling Products -Matrix - Biolage - Gelee
rated 4 of 5

Tried this during a recent Biolage product sale since I love the Biolage shampoos and conditioners. I have thin, straight, shoulder length hair. I apply a small amount to the roots only and blowdry. This gel works great for me, I get lots of lift and volume and it doesn't weight my hair down at all. 1 bottle has lasted me for over six months! I think I only paid $7 for it. Another feature is that if I go an extra day between washing my hair, all I gotta do is wet my fingers and then wet the roots and it reactivates the product and I can blowdry and style again.

Hair -Biosilk - Silk Therapy Smoothing Balm

I have very thin, straight hair so when my new hairstylist suggested I use this product, I didn't think it made sense and thought she was just trying to sell me product, but WOW what a difference it makes. I have a straight angeled cut. After I blow dry my hair and style, I rub about a nickel sized product amount in my hands and apply it to the ends of my hair, then I use my hairspray to "mold" my hair to the shape I want. I cannot believe what a difference this makes to my hairstyle! Be careful of applying too much or you will get a weighed down look. I'm so happy with this product, my hair looks so much healthier and shiny! And, I love, love, love the smell! Expensive?, yeah, but a little goes a long way.
