One of my favorite nailpolish colors (although I dont wear much nailpolish). Its' a sheer no-brainer nude w/ a slight coffee tint. Looks great and shiny!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Silver ring (veluxe pearl)
pakirani 10/9/2004 2:16:00 PM
Finally Mac has released eyeshadows that I like and can wear!! The texture of these veluxe pearls is fantastic--soft, silky, very buildable. And the effect is shiny and very nice looking. Silver ring is a medium silver with tiny shimmer. It has a blue undertone to it but looks great on my dark eyes. I wore it for the smoky eye yesterday (with mac carbon and vanilla pigment).

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pots Eye Mousse in Smoke
pakirani 9/21/2004 7:54:00 PM
This and amber were two of the colors that didn't suit my MMM skin/dark hair/dark eyes. I was hoping smoke would help give me the smoky dark grey look but instead it looks like an ordinary sheer grey with a slight dark blue undertone. The shimmer isn't as apparent in this one and the e/s itself is very sheer, as are all these Stila eyeshadow pots. Nice texture--thats why I gave it a 2.

Mascara -Lancome - Flextencils
pakirani 9/19/2004 12:04:00 AM
Great basic mascara! This is my daily mascara (since I was finding defincils made my lashes too brittle). This extends my lashes, but not over the top, and doesn't clump too much. Also, no flaking/smudging by the end of the day. Overall, a nice mascara, but there probably is better out there (i'm just tired of looking :P).

Conditioner -Aveda - Elixir daily leave-in conditioner [DISCONTINUED]
pakirani 9/18/2004 11:22:00 PM
I dont know why this leave in didnt' work for me :( I have thick, wavy, frizzy hair and needed some leave in conditioner for the ends (all over I use Aveda's brilliant damage control spray which I love) but this made it feel drier. I tested it for a few days so maybe I didnt give it enough time? Well, I returned it. So keep your receipt, because if it works for you, its not that pricey compared to other Aveda products!

Shampoo -Bumble & Bumble - Sunday Shampoo
pakirani 9/17/2004 9:24:00 AM
I bought a sample of this first, since the prices of these products are really high. ANd its the best clarifying shampoo I've used thus far, (although I haven't tried the V05 one that everyone raves about). Its extremely gentle, lathers up very well, smells so clean, and really gets rid of product buildup. I use it once a week and my hair feels fresh and silky (although I do use a conditioner after). I would definitely purchase a full size bottle!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pot eye mist in Amber
pakirani 9/15/2004 9:50:00 PM
This color looks beautiful on my hand and in the pot--like a shimmery silvery mauve. But when I wear it, it looks like my eye is infected. Doesn't suit my MMM skin/dark hair and eyes. But I love the soft, mousse-like texture of these stila shadow pots. They do crease a bit so you definitely need a base/primer especially if you have oily lids. Lots of shimmer, but its not chunky glitter and I think its fine to wear in the day, especially since its the glowy shimmer and its quite sheer. Love the eye mousses, just not this color on me.

Conditioner -Goldwell - Goldwell Kerasilk Ultra Rich Care Treatment
pakirani 9/4/2004 11:11:00 PM
My hair loves this! (so far--knock on wood). My hair is dry, coarse, and semi wavy and no conditioner works since I use the flat iron/hairdryer quite often. But Goldwell kerasilk ultrarich makes it SOOO soft, shiny, and smooth! I haven't tried it w/ the Microcap yet, so I'm hoping the results will be even better. And its not that expensive either!

Treatments -Aveda - Brilliant Damage Control Spray
pakirani 9/4/2004 11:02:00 PM
Great stuff although high price. This Aveda product works really nicely with my coarse, semi wavy hair. I use it as a leave in treatment conditioner when my hair is wet, and it really** moisturizes. But it doesn't prevent frizz for me, so I do need to use a serum for frizz (i use aveda's brilliant emollient finishing gloss). Also, if I use more the next day and haven't washed my hair, it softens it a bit more but can weigh it down a little. Overall, the best leave in that has worked for my hair thusfar.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pots Eye Mousse in Mist
pakirani 9/4/2004 11:00:00 PM
This may become one of my HG eyeshadow colors (if I can find a base that works on my oily lids :/). This does crease a bit, but still not as much as other eyeshadows. The color is beautiful, a silvery hue w/ a slight lavendar undertone. These mousses are sheer, super smooth and blendable, and look so glowy and pretty on the eyelid.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pots Eye Mousse in Iris
pakirani 9/4/2004 3:11:00 PM
So far, I'm loving these Stila eye mousses. Generally, I'm not an eyeshadow person, because they crease on me and I like the glowy sheen as opposed to the powdery look. So these Stila eye rouges are perfect for me! They are much sheerer on the eye, but still pigmented. Iris is one of the more pigmented colors--a plummy greyish silver (but more plum). Wore it yesterday on top of mist (another stila eye rouge) and I wore powder as a base, so overall, it lasted well throughout the night and didn't crease! I was shocked because honey had creased on me the other day (perhaps b/c I didn't wear enough base? Although I plan on trying Urban decay's primer potion too). These are really shimmery but the shimmer is fine enough to wear in the daytime. Pricey, but worth it. Seems like some of the colors resemble regular Stila eyeshadows, so check em out first if you have many Stila eyeshadows. I will update if this creases badly.

Styling Products -Aveda - Pure-Fume Brilliant Emolliant Finishing Gloss
pakirani 9/4/2004 3:06:00 PM
This is GREAT stuff! Pricey yes, but makes my hair SOO shiny and really helps get rid of frizz. I apply it on damp or dry hair and it works great! Some of Aveda's prodcuts are really worth trying, despite the hefty pricetag! Btw, I have thick, frizzy, semi-wavy hair.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pots Eye Mousse in Honey
pakirani 9/4/2004 3:04:00 PM
As the reviewer said below, this is a basic color. But I don't have many eyeshadows and I don't many Stila eyeshadows so I would repurchase this one. Gives a shimmery, glowy look and is a champagnish color. Does crease a tiny bit, but w/ some powder or base underneath, it creases much less. I will update if it creases too much. The pot isn't too convenient for travelling but otherwise, I like this product and the eye mousses in general.

Misc Beauty Tools -Diamancel - Foot Buffers
pakirani 8/15/2004 8:25:00 PM
Ohhhh this may become a HG item I can't live without! I bought the #11 after getting annoyed of spending $40 a month on pedicures. With this too, I may not need a pedicure for 6 months! My callouses and the bottoms of my feet are SOOOO dry, it's disgusting. But when i use this to get rid of my dry skin, it makes my feet SUPER soft and smooth, just like a professional pedicure. Love how my feet feel and look after I use this. This is definitely an item to invest in because now i'll probably need a pedicure twice a year and thats it :)

Treatments -Matrix - Glow Trix
pakirani 8/15/2004 7:33:00 PM
This stuff works really well on my coarse, wavy, frizz-prone hair. It doesnt feel greasy on the hands/hair like shine liquid serums tend to do. It does a great job at holding off frizz, either while your hair is damp or dry. Like all hair serums/creams, I use an amount slightly larger than a pea-size. Doesn't get rid of ALL frizz, but I've yet to find a haircare product that does/can.
