i got a few free samples of this from wholefoods last week and as soon as i go back i will totally be buying myself a bottle. i see that its only 8bucks for a bottle which is pretty decent considering that it will last a long time and the ingredients are so good. i thought it would just make my hair look oily, but instead it made it super shiny and soft, not stringy! also the fact that i can use it on my skin or hair always makes me happy- the more multitakers the better in my opinion :)

Moisturizers -Trader Joe's - Nourish Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer

I just bought this 2 weeks ago after falling in love with the matching cleanser. i was looking for a product that was unscented, had no spf, made of natural ingredients that wouldn't break me out, and had lots of good stuff in it like antioxidants and anti-ageing ingredients. i found all of that in this moisturizer and i love it. i was just using jergens body lotion before, and while it worked fine i noticed that it had parabens in it and i don't really want any of that on my skin anymore. Enter Trader Joe's facial moisturizer :) so far my skin is super happy, hopefully it only gets better from here.

Hair Color -Garnier - Olia

i bought this in 3.0 Darkest Brown color, i usually use the John Frieda foam color in Darkest Brown but they were sold out when i was at Target so i thought i would try this instead. Im glad i did because i think i might be switching to the Garnier depending on how the color holds up in the next month or so. My hair usually feels a bit straw like after i color no matter what product i use, but this time i felt like my hair was so soft and slippery while rinsing the dye out that i could almost skip conditioner. i have never had my hair respond to dye like that before. The color of my hair when it dried was a pretty good match to the John Frieda that i used before, a nice deep brown- almost black but not as harsh looking. i really hope that it stays this rich and shiny looking, if so i think i have found my HG hair color. we will see... A couple of other notes- i absolutely hate the bottle it comes in! its really hard to not drop it and i felt it was difficult to get the last drops out. it seems like there is a little less product than i am used to. my hair is really think and shoulder length. i usually have a little left over when i am done coating my entire head, but this time i used every last drop and it was just enough for me. The smell was not overpowering like most other dyes i have used, after washing it out i didn't notice any lingering scent, my hair was just really really soft and smooth. I've been reading all the negative reviews and my guess is that this particular formula seems to work better in the darker shades. all the good reviews are for the 3 darkest colors and the negative reviews are for everything lighter than that. just a guess.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation

i really loved the carmindy airbrush foundation from sally hansen, but i cant find it anywhere except online. so i figured i should have a backup for when it gets totally discontinued and saw this at Walmart. the color range is not great but i did find a bottle in my color for summer. i don't know if they make one light enough for my winter color... so far i like this stuff though. the coverage is light enough that i don't end up with that "i wear foundation" face, but it does blur my imperfections. also i tend to get greasy by midday and this stuff has not contributed to that problem like some other products i have tried. the last test is to see if i end up with any kind of a breakout from this stuff but so far i have not seen a problem.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast

i love this stuff, ive been searching for a mascara that gives me an almost false lash look without looking like spiderleggs or smudging and lashblast is it. its a good deep black color and dose not clump, flake, or migrate to any skin around my eyes, or flake all day. dosent irritate my sensitive skin or eyes either. only thing i can complain about is that covergirl tests on animals so i will keep searching for a company that makes a similar formula that is cruelty free. EDIT 4.5.2013: Wow i am surprised my original review is so old! i am still using this after all this time and i still love it. have not been lucky enough to find a similar product from a cruelty free brand :(

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HiP Kohl Eyeliner- Black

wow, i finally found my HG eyeliner! this stuff is a lovely deep black that is perfect for lining the waterline and over the top lashes, it actually stays through the day and does not irritate my eyes! it smudges a tiny bit, but in a way that looks intentional and gives a nice smokey look without migrating all the way to the raccoon point. will definitely repurchase. ps the packaging is way cute too :)

well the packaging for the tube looks pretty cute and it is a nice dark black, but i dont really like this mascara. it dosent lengthen like it promises and smudges a lot through out the day. wont repurchase.

i just bought this and the conditioner at wal-mart in the huge family size bottles for 5 bucks each :) i love this scent so much for my hair, i wasnt even sure if it was gonna work for my hair but after using it for 3 days now i am very happy with the results. my hair is soft and shiny without getting greasy halfway through the day ( i hate having to choose between that or feeling like my hair has been stripped of all moisture and feels like straw)!

mmmm...the scent is so yummy! i dont have any problems with sweating through my deodorant when i use this stuff and i smell nice through out the day. it does leave white marks on any clothes that come in contact with it, so i try to make sure to put on doedorant after i have put on my final selection for my outfit for the day. also does not irritate freshly shaven skin.

i love this eyeliner, its my everyday black liner. goes on the waterline without tugging or too much pressure and applies to my upper lid easily. the pigment is nice too, makes my green yeys pop.

eh, this eyeliner is just not very good. yeah its cheap and you get a ton of product but the pigment is not good, its not a true black. its not very easy to apply either, when i try to line my waterline i feel like i have to tug and press way too much to get any color to show up. wont repurchase...

this stuff is great. i have very sensitive skin and get allergic reactions to a lot of make up and products for the face, but this stuff dosent break me out, give me a rash, or sting.gets everything off including my water-proof mascara. i usually wash my face first to loosen the makeup and then what ever is left over i swipe off with a cottonball of the remover. i dont think rimmel tests on animals either :)

i love this stuff... makes my hair so shiny and soft but still defines my waves. my hair was really short and piecy and i have grown it out this past year and on all my styles this stuff works. its so cheap too its a guilt free purchase. garnier dosent test on animals either :)

i bought this because a friend told me how much she loved it and she has lovely hair. well it didn't do anything nice for my hair, this stuff made it feel kinda dirty and not soft at all, as if i hadn't conditioned or something. also made my hair limp and ruined the natural waves i usually have. i don't like the smell either, definitely won't be repurchasing.
