At first spray (and on paper) this is really sharp and kind of unpleasant...reminds me of the sharpness of Gucci Envy Me. I've been sniffing this fragrance in magazines since it came out, and always came to the sad conclusion that it was yucky...even though the notes sound beautiful and the bottle and advertising campaign w/ Scarlett is to die for. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS ON. On the skin the sharpness gradually disappears and melds into a warm, soft floral that wraps you in its embrace. I am LOVING Eternity Moment...it's really a wear anywhere and anytime fragrance. It's fresh and girly and a perfect to spritz on in the spring in summer, but it also has enough sillage and depth from the creamy florals to make a good wintertime or nighttime scent. Beautiful, distinctive fragrance that really makes an impression. So glad I gave this another try.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Liquid Eyes - Petal Power

I saw this on sale for $1.49 so I had to try it. The color is gorgeous...very shimmery purple-taupe-gray. (The name doesn't seem to fit..."Petal Power?") This is a perfect shade for pairing with dark liner at night. I tried applying a second coat once the first had dried for a more saturated look, but it didn't work...got gunky and flaked off. Stick to one coat for a shimmery wash of color minus weird clumps.
Crème -L'Oreal - Feel Naturale Light Softening One-Step Makeup [DISCONTINUED]

I'm so happy with this foundation. I like using a compact makeup with a sponge because it helps me get out the door quickly in the morning. I have the lightest color...it covers beautifully and dries to a velvety, slightly powdery finish, but not as dry as the Air Wear compact foundation I've tried. I usually don't need to reapply during the day, unless I've been touching my face too much or took a nap and was pressing my face into the bed (this happens quite a lot, haha) During the summer months I usually prefer using a sheer liquid foundation, but for now I am loving this!
Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Citrus Lift Bodifying Shampoo for Normal Hair

My favorite shampoo!! Smells so juicy and amazing and wakes me up during my morning shower! This shampoo (with the conditioner) makes my hair so smooth and shiny...can't believe it's such a steal.
Eyeliner -Revlon - Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Charcoal
orangeblosm 1/27/2006 11:15:00 PM
This is my everyday eyeliner and a total staple for me. The gray is a change from regular brown or black and I think looks especially nice with brown eyes :) The lasting power is pretty good and most of the time I don't notice any smudging. If I line my bottom lids, and I sweat, or get caught in the rain, or if there's any humidity in the air, it's pretty certain I'll end up with racoon eyes though. Still a good buy.
This was an impulse buy that I regret. The notes are beautiful, the bottle is beautiful, but it's just sort of boring. It has ZERO lasting power on me. The smell is subtle and classy and can offend no one, but again it is BORING. My boyfriend loves this though...it figures! I'll use this bottle up but will not repurchase. I still have to give it 3 stars though, because on first whiff it IS quite lovely. Might be a good wear-to-work fragrance for someone.
Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella- Eau de Parfum

Right now this is my favorite perfume and the one I reach for most often. Honestly I can't see myself ever getting tired of this. (Many people will disagree). I am a floral girl, though. This starts off like a bouquet of fresh roses and gets richer and sweeter throughout the day. Sort of a vintage sensibility, but still modern, not stuffy. It's perfect for day wear, but it's also elegant and sensual enough for formal occasions, or whatever. I only wish the amber were a little more pronounced on me! Guess you can't win them all. Go try Stella, you might like it! (or LOVE it)
This is a beautiful fragrance and my favorite Chanel. It's like a wonderful layer of velvety warmth that wraps itself around you. So classy and feminine. I only crave this during the cooler months though.
Now THIS is some SEXY SEXY stuff. I remember first getting a whiff of it in a magazine and thinking it was the sexiest perfume I'd ever smelled. It's spicy but not overly musky, and there's some sort of synthetic note in there that makes it ADDICTIVE. Should be called Addict...too bad that name's already taken :). This is definitely my "nighttime" perfume, although I occasionally wear it during the day. Definitely a confidence booster that will put a little swagger in your step, you know? ;)
Lotions/ Creams -Olay - Quench Body Lotion-normal to dry skin
orangeblosm 1/27/2006 10:34:00 PM
This is a nice basic lotion to have, although it is nothing super special. The best part is the fresh, unperfumey smell and the pretty shimmer particles!
I used to wear this scent when I was a senior in high school. When I saw it at the drug store for $9.99 I had to pick it up again! I'd forgotten how pretty this is...it's very fresh and girly, but there's something distinctive about it. I can see why Cosmo named it once as the sexiest scent (guys who hate heavy perfumes would probably love this). I spray it all over my body and hair so the lasting power is not too bad. It's funny how I have a dresser-full of expensive perfumes, but the most inexpensive drug store fragrance is what gets the most comments! This is not my favorite perfume of all time, but right now it is lifting me out of my winter blahs. :)
