This is interesting- Don't ask me why I bought this- I'm a girl and generally like to smell girly- My fav perfumes are pink sugar and Narciso rodriguez for Gods sake But somehow I was seduced into getting this Its very clean and crisp- expensvie smelling and lasts all day- not manly so long as I still use a "girl" scented lotion/perfume. Nice combo if you ask me I've never been a fan of unisex scents but this is quite nice on a girl- give it a sniff ;)

This is wonderful- Light true bronze color- no orange or shimmer I use this as a quick daytime contour- pop in under my cheekbones and top with a hint of ELF blush in piank passion- Perfect 5 min face that truly glows but still super natural- I'm a NW25/30 if that helps

Save your money- I'm a sucker for lip products and a rose scent in general so I caved and got this Packaging is beautiful but thats it Horrible list of chemically ingredients, Faint rose smell- and NO moisture- dried out my lips

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush - Pink Passion

This blows me away! I haven't used drugstore blush since college. I "graduated " myself to NARS and Bobbi brown for blush years ago. Don't get me wrong those are gorgeous- but THIS is what I got complimented on! Every time I wore this I had multiple people tell me I looked radiant/rested This is a beautiful pop of color and much more natural than you think- I generally like a very natural look and this is def it This is what I wanted MAC pink swoon to be- it makes you look younger/brighter/better rested and just happier-I'm going to get backups

This is beautiful Under eye concealer is 80% of my daily routine Without it I hear "are you tired/sick?" continuously- RUDE!! Anyway this is smooth, great coverage and Loooong lasting- perfect! the closest comparison is bobbi browns corrector- same "sticky" texture but this has more coverage and lasting power. I use this with the #45sephora professional brush and I won't change a thing. Even my cle de peau and lancome effacernes are sitting in the drawer now

Well this just blew me away- I have DARK circles and a deep socket- Thanks to my indian heritage- glycolic skincare has helped- so if it wern't for my circles I wouldn't need coverup I have tried evey concealer out there The best I have found are lancome effecernes, bobbi brown corrector and my new love the tarte dark circle defnse one- I had never used a brush for concealer- just my fingers This is SOOOOOO much better- U dab in the concealer of choice and it blends perfectectly- no caking, creasing- and it is truely seamless. After 18yrs of using my fingers for concealer I'll never go back- this is an absoulte must I feel. Its a little pricey- but its easy and quick to use and the results are professional- as a makeup junkie I really didn't think there were any tricks I didn't know about. consider me corrected Thats why I love MUA xoxo

Powder -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
opie1 7/2/2011 11:15:00 AM

Oh wow!- this is so wonderful- I always walked by this and never looked twice. I generally have stayed away from MAC face makeup- Don't get me wrong- eye makeup and blush and lips I love them for- but I've always found their face stuff to be TOO made up, you know? Generally for face I used almay tinted/sport moisturizer thru high school and college- then graduated to bare minerals. I used BM x 7 yrs- but it on and off looked ashy/caky So I started looking at other mineral powder foundations... This one, I know is marketed as a finishing powder- but for me over undereye concealer and a powder primer (I use Coastal scents diva defense) this is awesome. It goes on super smooth- no shimmer- just even but perfect skin- And even after a 12 hr day my skin looks awesome. If you have a lot to cover up this is not for you- but if you have decent skin- you don't want to cover up all your hard work with your skincare! Since I've been using this people consistently ask me what skincare I use ;) A couple of comparisons that I hope helps: BM- is shiner andlooks cakier- less natural- also wears unevenly comapred to the MSF- even with the samr primer Everyday minerals- better- but still heavier Laura gellar Balance n brighten- this is probably the closest- but- requires a firmer buffing to settle into the skin- also less colors and harder to find Mary kay- heavier and messy Smashbox Halo- hated this- No coverage and no brightening or smoothing of the skin despite its claims Milani powder foundation- a little cakier- and harder to match colors In short- I would HIGHLY recommend- this is my everyday makeup despite my philosophy that I wanted a makeup that was organic and had less ingredients- this one just flat out looks and performs better One of my best buys ever hope this helps ps: I use my ecotools kabuki with this

Primer/ Corrector -Ben Nye - Mellow Yellow in Normal
rated 5 of 5
opie1 4/2/2011 7:49:00 PM

I'm writing this because I have suffered with dark circles my whole life. Thanks to really pumping up my skincare my skin is the best its ever been- I need no "face" makeup except for my undereyes. But finding the right one is soooo hard- My faves before this were Lancome effacernes ( hard to get the right colormatch), bobbi brown correcor and concealer( too time consuming) and allison raffaele ( impossible to find now) I read a review on this- xoxo thanks MUA ladies!- and figured why not? This is dense, superpigmented and covers wonderfully- I set with with the ben nye powder in white- and it does NOT bugde. I am oily- wear sunscreen daily underneath and do not touch up at all. The color blends well- I wear bisque corrector and sand foundation in BBrown Hope this helps someone. Ps: no-one asks me if I'm tired anymore! yaay!!

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle
rated 5 of 5
opie1 4/2/2011 7:40:00 PM

This is so beatiful! the name describes it beautifully- it is supersoft and a sweep on cheekbones just gives a soft, lit from within airbrushed quality. I've worn this as eyeshadow too and its quite pretty. I love a highlighted face, however you have to be careful with the stripe down the nose, C from brow to cheek thing- that is a look best in print- not in person in my opinion. A gentle sweep with a fluffy brush over cheeks and eyes is enough for me. I'm a sand in bobbi brown and this looks perfect- but I think this would look good on all skintones. Most MSFs are pretty but I don't get much mileage out of them- but this I use everyday- sunlight, fluorescent light and for evening..

wow- I am surprised! this is actually reaaly good- coverage is not too shabby- no creasing, blends right in and lasts all day- I have horrible circles and a deep eye socket- this is enough alone for a workday or weekend- For a formal evemt where I wear foundation- this is good to add on top of regular concealer.... my day to day regime is this on top of my mineral powder

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - lipton green tea mix
rated 5 of 5
opie1 9/5/2010 3:17:00 PM

Oh wow! this stuff is fantastic! Thank you to all the mua girls who mentioned this Basically its sugar and green tea in a fine powder- mine had honey and lemon too- I took 3 tablespoons and mixed it with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Wet myself down and scrubbed head to toe- its not too harsh- the sugar dissolves into the skin- and it smells fabb. Rinsed off afterward.. leaves you super smooth, less bumps, no more KP ! yay! easy, cheap and works better than high end scrubs imo- better than caudalies scrub =) ps: don't get the diet one- u need the sugar

Gels/Soaps -Nivea - A Touch of Bliss
rated 5 of 5
opie1 4/11/2010 9:10:00 PM

This is so yummy! usually I'm not a fan of drugstore soaps- I find them drying to my eczema-prone skin- but this is lovely, doesn't dry me out and smells great. Fresh apricot - like the real friut not the usual sticky-sweet cloying fruit you usually get. Highly recommend

Skincare - Body -Johnson & Johnson - Lavender Baby Oil
rated 5 of 5
opie1 2/23/2010 8:16:00 PM

Holy cow this stuff is great! Thank you guys for all the reviews . Without them I honestly never would have tried this - i'm a bit of a skin care snob I guess. I almost exclusively use oils to moisturize- others i have tried and love- burts bees baby oil, weleda calendula and rose oils, pure almond and hawaiain tropic dark tanning oil. This rivals them all! smooth silky, yet absorbs nicely. plus it smells fantastic.. Not like lavender at all though- just slightly powdery with a little musk - but still fresh and young- not overpowering at all. comes in a clear plastic bottle with a tiny opening- no mess. ps: I have chronic excema and was always afraid of mineral oil - this stuff has left me with no issues whatsoever.xxx

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Eye Brightener [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
opie1 3/15/2009 8:31:00 PM

I have horrible genetic dark circles coupled with a deeeeep socket. No concealer ever covers this nor do I expect it to. Prior - the best I had found were lancomes effarcernes, alison raffaeles true concealer and the bb primer plus concealer. they all worked well - but all cake a little. I always ignored this because I thought it wasn't for serious undereye issues. Boy was I wrong. This is fast, easy, takes only a tiny bit and brightens more than covers. Really brightens! not like the smashbox crap or the YSl touche eclat. And it lasts and has NEVER caked/creased on me.Package sucks but I'll buy this always. PS: I wear this alone on top of my tinted moisturzer

Loose Powders -Coastal Scents - Silica Spheres Powder
rated 5 of 5
opie1 3/15/2009 8:22:00 PM

Wow! thanks mua girls! xoxo I adore this - superfine , pure white powder - you get a ton of it. Dirt cheap - you do need a container with a sifter though. Tiny bit on my laura mercier powder brush - swept all over as final step... Gorgeous. never got so many compliments on my skin.. Kinda air-brushed soft focus thing happens - and stays that way. ALL DAY. I'm a buyer for life. People with health concerns - sheeessh - relax! and don't inhale.. PS; I decant mine into a clear jar with sifter and add a touch of my jurlique silk dust in lavender - beautiful frangrance and a little anti-microbial action
