BB Cream -Clinique - Moisture Surge CC Cream SPF 30

This stuff is amazing. My skin is somewhat oily, especially in the T-zone, with red patches and some acne/scars. It completely smooths all that out, yet is not as thick and is definitely not "cakey" like the foundation I was using. Ever since I got this product, I have been getting compliments like, "Your skin is glowing," "I can't tell that you ever had acne," "Your skin looks beautiful," etc. It seems to stay on all day, although if I touch or rub my face during the day, I find it helpful to reapply the CC cream midday. I have been using it only a few weeks, so I can't tell how long the package will last. All I know is that I need very little to cover my whole face. Because I don't need to use foundation on top of the CC cream, this product makes getting ready in the morning so much faster! I will definitely be buying this again, and have been recommending it to everyone!

Treatments -Aveda - Color Conserve Strengthening Treatment

I have fine, blond, chlorine-damaged, highlighted and lowlighted hair. I've been using this product as directed once a week. WOW. My lowlights, which usually fade out nearly immediately, are still intact over a month later. After I use this product, especially for the first few days but even nearly a week later, my hair is easy to comb through and is oh-so-smooth. I've definitely noticed less breakage since I started using this treatment. My hair, which can be limp/flat if I don't do everything right, lays really nicely after I use this. I do use it in conjunction with color protecting shampoo and conditioner. (First with Herbal Essences, which I've been using for years, to see whether *this* product made the difference. It did. I've recently tried Kiehl's Sunflower Color Preserving Shampoo/Conditioner, and love those also.) I can't believe the poor reviews of this product. Check out the reviews on the Aveda site for more opinions and ways people use it.

Scrubs -Arbonne - Awaken Sea Salt Scrub

This product made my legs and arms so soft and smooth! I'm a swimmer, so I tend to dry out all over in the winter. My skin glows and shines when I use this product. I thought it was absurdly expensive (nearly $30 for a scrub), but got it at an Arbonne party I hosted. I think I may be a repeat buyer!

Styling Products -LUSH - The Big Tease
openh2o 12/18/2009 8:16:00 PM
I have fine, straight, blond hair that's tough to make look full. Well, if I'm in a rush and the only product I use is Big Tease (besides shampoo/conditioner, of course), my hair looks great! I usually comb and towel dry my hair, then put on the Big Tease (starting at the roots) before I blow dry. I get the best results with it when I blow dry, but if I don't, my hair dries straight as long as I comb it when it's partially dry. If I put too much of this on at the roots, it starts flaking/congealing, so check yourself once or twice when your hair is dry to make sure you don't have any bits of product in your hair near your scalp! I get GREAT results when I use Redken protein cream, then Big Tease and Redken Thickening Lotion and blow dry. For some reason, this combination of products does wonders for my limp locks. If I omit the protein cream, I can get by, but my hair is tough to comb later in the day. The big tease seems great for thickening and volumizing. It's a little expensive, but if I use it every day to every other day, I can make the jar last six months. $18 for six months of full hair is worth it.

Eyeliner -Arbonne - Virtual Illusion
openh2o 10/11/2009 7:17:00 PM
If we're talking about the same eyeliner--the Virtual Illusion Eye Definer--I love it. I bought it in Slate, and it really accentuates my blue eyes without looking cheesy. (The Arbonne rep said Mermaid is VERY blue, so beware!) I liked it so much that I bought another in Hepburn, the darker of the browns. I've got blond hair, so the deep brown is great for when I want to really accentuate my eyes. Most importantly, I like makeup that I could apply in a hurry but still looks good. This product was the answer to that. I rarely wore eyeliner before this because it always took so much time to apply and get it to look good. I can apply this in 10-15 seconds. It goes on very smoothly! And I don't look fake. The eyeliner stays put all day (from 8 a.m. until I take my makeup off around 9 p.m.), and doesn't smear. I wish I could sharpen the pencil, but you just twist the pencil to get more eyeliner out. I've only been using it for a few weeks, so I can't say for sure how long it's going to last, but so far, I love it!

Deodorants -Trader Joe's - Unscented Deodorant with Cotton
openh2o 8/30/2009 10:43:00 PM
I smell awful when I use this product. And I don't normally sweat excessively. I really wanted to like this inexpensive, non-harmful-ingredient-containing deodorant, but it just doesn't work. I used it in the summer, so perhaps that made a difference. I'll give it a try in the winter, but I'm not optimistic.
