first time using a primer.. WOW. how the hell did i not know about them before?!
Eye Primer -Bare Escentuals - bareVitamins Prime Time Eyelid Primer
ohtigerlily 4/9/2012 11:24:00 PM
my first experience with an eyelid primer and it rocks! i don't put on a lot of eye makeup (just an eyeliner for me, thank you) and i was surprised by how smoothly it glided on. plus it STAYED. for hours!! with no smudges. i would buy this again if i have a little extra money with me, but it's not an essential since i do not have oily eyelids or whatever.
i LOVE soap & glory! where i live, it's a tad bit more expensive but heck, it's worth it! i'm VERY lazy when it comes to using cleansers, and i have used various different cleansers that makes me breaks out but this product right here is an exception. i only use this at night, when i get back home from work/school/hanging out. it removes my makeup (yay!) which is a major plus because i'm too cheap to buy a proper makeup remover. it makes my face feels clean and i don't know.. i don't break out as often anymore! my face looks somehow brighter after a few weeks of regular use. i'm going to sephora soon to buy another tube since i'm running out of it, so yeah i am definitely buying this product again! :3
BB Cream -Skin79 - Intense Classic Blemish Balm (SPF 20 PA++)
ohtigerlily 4/2/2012 10:38:00 AM
okay.. i am torn. it gives me near perfect coverage.. i have localized acne on my right cheek and some red marks, and this BB cream basically makes my face looks pretty much flawless. but.. it doesn't blend VERY well with my skin color, and in harsh/bright light, the spots where i applied the BB cream looks whitish and yeah, visible. plus, if someone comes really near my face, they would see patches of cakiness. the only reason i keep using this is 1) on the right kind of light (especially at night) my face looks so flawless 2) i have only one other concealer which sucks on certain spots anyway, i would've brought a second tube if this BB cream has actually made some improvements on my skin. it doesn't.. in fact, i think i'm breaking out more often on my right cheek + the spots where i used the cream (under eyes and a bit on my left cheek) looks unhealthy.. like, there's a patch of red, rough skin on my left cheek.. what's up with that?
a bit too expensive, but it's worth it. moisturizes my lips, and i look great! i had somewhat dry lips before and only a week or so of (infrequent) usage, my lips are silky smooth!! i do not know what i would do without them!
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Liese- Hair Cocktail Moisturizing Hair Serum
ohtigerlily 5/27/2011 11:08:00 AM
brought it because i've been hearing rave reviews and also because the packaging is so cute. i've got really dry and frizzy hair, and i hate it. maybe i was expecting too much, but it didn't work wonders for maintaining the frizz. sure, there was an improvement, but not much. my hair did feel and look smoother, though. ugh but really i ABHOR the smell. yuks. but after awhile, it smells okay so not really a problem. probably would buy again.
Skincare - Body -Biotherm - CELLULI LASER with Biofibrine SLIMMING TREATMENT
ohtigerlily 5/24/2011 12:55:00 PM
had high hopes. biotherm is well-known, plus it's expensive, so this product must work, right? no. didn't see any improvements. but i do like the warm sensations and yes the smell was quite pleasant so i'm not FULLY dissapointed. but no, wouldn't buy again. in fact, thanks to this product, i've lost major faith in cellulite and slimming creams.
Hair -Clairol - Clairol Herbal Essences Natural Volume Shampoo and conditioner
ohtigerlily 5/24/2011 12:49:00 PM
works fine, but isn't spectacular or anything. i also find it expensive considering there are better shampoos and conditioners out there that i can get for a lesser or same price. one thing i do like is how great they smell. and such pretty packaging! :D
Shampoo -L'Oreal - L'Oreal Professionnel Shine Blonde Shampoo
ohtigerlily 5/24/2011 12:44:00 PM
i used this shampoo in hopes that my hair will become lighter in color, since i'm not willing to fork out any money for hair dye. well, my hair color stayed pretty much the same. but my hair did feel smoother a few DAYS after using this product. it smells quite good, so i wouldn't mind using this as a shampoo now and then.
Polishes -TheFACEShop - Nail Talk Polish (All Colors)
ohtigerlily 5/24/2011 12:30:00 PM
i've got a few, and what i like about them is their color does not stand out, so it looks quite natural. the quality, to be honest, isn't great. and yes, it chips easily. but it's so cheap, and dries real fast, so i would buy it again.
Hair Removal -Unlisted Brand - Veet Spray-On Hair Removal Cream
ohtigerlily 5/24/2011 12:16:00 PM
the MAIN and probably ONLY reason why i would buy this product again: it makes shaving so much easier. spray, do your stuff, shave off. easy~ but the smell is horrible, and it irritates my skin somehow. but hey, i could live with all that. but one bottle didn't last me very long. only about a few weeks, and it's empty! so not really value for money.
amazing on my legs. felt smoother after shaving, though in a few days i could feel stubbles which made me sad. but for my armpits, it was near useless. it doesn't remove ALL of my armpit hair and the "scraper" or whatever you call it.. hurts and felt really uncomfortable, so i had to rely on my veet one. but it is QUITE affordable, and it lasts quite a while, so no complains there.
if i could use this product everyday, i would. on days when i do, my face feels amazing. it looks clearer and smoother and just better. smells quite nice, too. though during the first few minutes, i did feel some stinging sensation. it went away after a few more minutes, so i have no idea why that happens. nearing the 10-15 minutes, your face would feel deliciously tight (no pun intended) and that's when i know it's time to rinse the mask off and lo and behold.. my improved complexion~ it's quite affordable too so i'll definitely buy this product again!
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - White Musk Extra Rich Body Cream
ohtigerlily 5/23/2011 8:28:00 AM
left my skin feeling soft and smelling amazing. like nearly all lotions does, so nothing special there. but the smell is what won me over. really, if my girlfriend (or boyfriend) uses this, i would wanna be with them all day long and never let go. i <3 the smell. but i wouldn't buy this product again. too expensive for me.
i brought this for my mum on mother's day, and me and her both, we love it. we're both fans of musky fragrances. it's not overpowering, more like subtle and sweet and.. musky. the fact that this fragrance was made cruelty-free made me like this product so much more. because of that, i'll definitely buy this product again.
