Moisturizers -LUSH - Celestial
ohipuppie 11/3/2011 12:10:00 AM
One of the best thicker moisturizing creams I've used. This works great overnight and on my dryer areas of my skin esp during winter, even sometimes as a under eye cream as its gentle enough with its natural ingredients. Really like the light almond milk scent, but not so much the packaging. To me, any packaging like this is really unhygienic. Otherwise, I love the moisturizer itself.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Corrector
ohipuppie 7/20/2011 5:26:00 PM
While I do love this corrector and I am on my 2nd pot, I have been reaching for this less and less. I have the Peach corrector for my NC35 skintone and it is the only undereye concealer that actually works at covering my genetically dark circles. The peachy-salmon color could not be any more perfect. The problem is the texture and consistency. Although it is extremely creamy for a smooth application under the eye, it creases and settles into my fine lines within an hour (even more if I laugh/smile a lot that day). I have tried setting it with powder and although it helps a little, I still have the same problem. I apply it with my ring finger and find that blending it down is the best way to do it ( patting it on makes it crease more). Using as little as possible seems to be the key (but it is hard for those times when I need extra to cover my lack of sleep). I am still experimenting with it to find what works best. I love the packaging with the mirror inside. Overall, until I can find a better corrector/concealer, I will be using this. EDIT- I think I have the older formula, so maybe the new one might work out for me

Polishes -OPI - Sand in my Suit
ohipuppie 7/20/2011 4:45:00 PM
A shimmery, sandy nude color that looks BEAUTIFUL against tanned skin. However... when my skin is lighter, the color just isn't the same- it looks kind of blah. I guess I'll be using it more during the summer time. Consistency is good, and application is easy with the thick brush. Two coats is enough for an opaque coverage.

Bronzers -NARS - Irresistiblement
ohipuppie 7/8/2011 11:26:00 PM
I love this because it gives such a warm, sunkissed look! As always, the quality of this blush is just as expected for a Nars product. Don't be scared of how orangey it looks in the pan, it is so beautiful once its applied.

Blush -NYX - Angel
ohipuppie 7/6/2011 1:03:00 AM
I am so in love with this blush. The color looks sort of blah but gives off such a natural and fresh look when its on the cheeks. I'd describe it as a dusky, muted pink. I was afraid that it would be chalky but it is in fact very soft and velvety to the touch and very blendable on the skin. Although it is considerably well pigmented, it might not show up too well for darker skin tones. It shows up just enough on my NC30 skin where it is hard for me to over do it, which is why I like it so much. On some days, I add NYX's Pinky blush slightly on top of Angel just for a brighter pop of color. Stays on for a good 6 hrs.

Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
ohipuppie 6/9/2011 11:15:00 PM
I am so amazed by this foundation. Not only is this cheap (~$6 at local drugstore) but I definitely see this as a very good, if not better, alternative to higher end foundations. It really does hold up to its "25 hour" lasting finish claim as the swatch on my hand did not budge until I actually worked at cleansing it off. As for my face, the foundation looks almost the same as I put it on after a 8-10 hr day (no touch ups needed). Coverage is great! (I love how I can be lazy with this and skip the concealer step) Although the coverage is medium to full, it does not feel thick at all. Let me just say, the finish is absolutely perfect! It is "dewy" in a sense that it looks very fresh (not shiny). There is a very light scent to it, but it doesn't bother me. I also like the packaging in a squeeze tube (makes it easy to throw in makeup bag). I was lucky to find my color in the first shot (tested it in the store.. shhh) The color in the tube looks darker than it really is. My shade is 202 Nude. This and a lighter shade (200) both have yellow undertones, while the shade in between (201) has pink undertones. For reference, I am NC30-35 (studio fix), C3-4 (MAC F&B), Barcelona (Nars sheer matte), Punjab (Nars sheer glow). I really recommend this and think it is worth trying. Definitely will be a repurchase!

Cleansers -LUSH - Angels on Bare Skin
ohipuppie 4/24/2011 9:03:00 PM
This was my first LUSH cleanser and I like it a lot. I have a acne prone T zone but otherwise normal skin. I started breaking out on my forehead and was looking for a new skincare routine. AOBS did not break me out nor helped that much with the breakouts. But, it did improve the texture of my skin and smooth over the post-acne I had. I always look forward to using it in the shower because of how soft, smooth, and hydrated my skin felt after wards. It is definitely different from typical cleansers. You have to make it a paste-like mixture before you apply it to onto your face. It also has little particles of ground almonds in it to act as an exfoliater. The smell is at first very pungent and unattractive to me. However by the 3rd or 4th use, I've grown to love the herbal-flower scent more and more. I bought $14 worth of it and have used only about 1/3 of it in 6 months. Overall, its a very good exfoliator/cleanser and I will definetely re-purchase and will try out their other face cleansers.
