I just love this stuff! Gentle enough to use daily by gets the job done each time. Leaves my skin feeling clean and soft, and has the nicest minty smell to boot! Very affordable and a little goes a long way with this :)

Total dupe for avon's now discontinued blue scrub. Love this! Has a nice minty cooling sort of feeling. Leaves my face squeaky clean. Cleans deep and does not irritate my skin. A little goes a long way!

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Creative Lab: Moist Hemp Body Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5
ohcaitlin 3/10/2013 2:43:00 PM

I picked this up from Sally's in Canada a little while ago. It comes in two sizes, the travel size being only $2-$3. This has a light scent to it, kind of banana-y I find. I really like it! The scent fades iff very quickly. It's hydrating and NOT GREASY at all! My skin is left soft all day. Their other hemp products are great too, lots of different scents (depending on your location) if in doubt, buy a travel size. A big bottle is normally $11 but is on sale often enough for $5.99.

Moisturizers -MAC - Complete Comfort Creme
rated 5 of 5

Why does this creme have so little reviews? It's just GORGEOUS, grab some samples, ladies! This creme is so lovely, and smells lightly of floral and other pretty things. I have fine lines under my eyes and while nothing will permanently fix that (but the knife or needle) this is a damn close fix! This is so hydrating and works beautifully under primer and/or makeup. A little goes a long way with this - if you get a sample filled.. And wish to cover your whole face once per day, the sample will last you about 7 days. I will stay loyal to this product, I've gone through SO many different brands but it all stops here. Finally!

Cleansers -Simple - Kind to Skin Refreshing Wash Gel
rated 4 of 5
ohcaitlin 3/4/2013 10:47:00 PM

So far, this mild cleanser has been very kind on my skin. My skin feels so soft and clean after using this. I top this with the 'Simple Rich Moisturizer' and have had no problems so far. It's nice to see such a simple (*slaps knee*) product out there that is this effective!

Moisturizers -Simple - Replenishing Rich Moisturiser

I've found moisturizers will either work as they should... Or burn like crazy, cause redness from said singe, and do no good otherwise. Luckily, this stuff has worked for me. I use a dime-size amount from my neck up and then add a bit extra under my eyes. So far, it's reduced the look of fine lines under my eyes. It holds up beautifully under makeup and is ACTUALLY scent free! It's around $14 at Walmart / Superstore in Canada which I don't like - but I used a BOGO coupon. If I can find this cheaper (or keep scoring coupons ;)) ill definitely keep buying.

Moisturizers -Garnier - Fresh 24H Deep Moisturizer
rated 1 of 5

I picked this up for CDN$10 at Walmart. I've tried this both in the morning before makeup & after cleansing/exfoliating. (I tried it for the first time after exfoliating) Each time it brought on an unbearable burning feeling under my eyes. Much like a nasty sunburn. Based on personal experience, I highly recommend not buying this product. The Garnier rollerball worked better for me many moons ago.

I really like this for my brows! I've used it for my winged eyeliner as well - it creates a perfectly sharp precise line. This brush is only $1.49.

Eye Primer -Essence - I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base
rated 5 of 5
ohcaitlin 2/20/2013 9:16:00 PM

I picked this up at Shoppers (Canada) for $2.99 and am really glad I did! I don't have oily eyelids, so please keep that in mind! I found this base to be rich and creamy. A little goes a long way with this! I use an ecotools brush to smooth this on to my lids. I've used this for both matte es, shimmer es, and pigments and I found this to work perfectly for me. This product feels like a mix between MAC's p+p eye & UDPP. I'll continue to buy this product as it doesn't crease for me, is extremely lightweight and is non-scented. Give this a try, it's affordable and returnable!

Mascara -Essence - I Love Extreme - Volume Mascara
rated 5 of 5
ohcaitlin 2/20/2013 9:08:00 PM

I am so digging this mascara. I've spent up to $32 on mascara (that still didn't work half as good as this!) & this us my absolute favourite. Ever. The brush allows you to wiggle the wand through the base thoroughly and separates lashes wonderfully. No mascara has ever made my lashes so black, voluminous or keep a curl like this! Picked up from Shopper's (Canada) for $4.99 The other mascaras have entirely different wands so check'um out before purchasing. This mascara has a really slight mascara-y scent straight from the tube but once on your lashes it disappears within seconds. Product dries in a timely manner but isn't crusty, nor does it flake off! This mascara isn't waterproof but it sure wont budge! I remove it with coconut oil and a cotton ball. Let the coconut oil sit on the top lashes for a little bit :)

Eyeliner -Essence - Gel Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
ohcaitlin 2/20/2013 8:59:00 PM

I ADORE this gel liner. I found it at Shopper's (Canada) for $3.99 This liner is amazing. It's so much softer than MACs gel liner. A little goes a LONG way with this! It does not budge, is HIGHLY pigmented and comes off nicely with an oil free m/u remover. I do a thick cat eye with this daily. For $3.99, I'd really suggest trying it -- if it's not your thing you can always return it! I used this with their e/s base. For years I've bought the MAC liner, but I have no qualms purchasing this from now on :)

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - They're Real
rated 1 of 5
ohcaitlin 2/12/2013 9:31:00 PM

I have thin, medium-length lashes. I used this mascara on its own and was not impressed. At sephora in Canada, this mascara is $29.00. It reminds me of a $6 cover girl type mascara. This didn't help keep freshly curled lashes stay curled, and it made my lashes stuck together even though I did the zigzag motion starting from the base. I had very high hopes for this but was let down :( I tried this under primed lashes as well and no luck. So far Loreal Telescopic in carbon black has been my top pick in all the mascaras I've tried.

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade

Worth every penny! I love this product. I use it as a brow highlighter, along the temples in moderation, in my inner eye corners, and on my Cupid's bow - especially when wearing a bold lip. Fantastic for us porcelain skinned gals.

Conditioner -The Body Shop - Banana Nourishing Conditioner
rated 3 of 5
ohcaitlin 1/19/2013 9:36:00 PM

This smells fantastic! Like real bananas, not cough-syrupy IMO. If you read the ingredients, water and bananas are what help make up the product. I find this isn't highly concentrated so I need a LOT of conditioner for it to get through my hair. This doesn't detangle my hair and leaves my hair feeling like I never fully washed it all out.

Shampoo -The Body Shop - Banana Nourishing Shampoo
rated 2 of 5
ohcaitlin 1/19/2013 9:30:00 PM

I need a lot of this shampoo to get a decent lather. It smells AMAZING. I purchased this and the conditioner (BOGO-Free) so I spent a total of $8CDN. Unfortunately this shampoo is really drying and leaves my hair lifeless and brutal to comb unless I use a good conditioner. The packaging is fine. I won't buy again though.
