Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Dark Kiss- Lotion

Got BBW Dark Kiss today! I like it a lot. Reminds me heavily of Midnight Fantasy, the Britney perfume. A lot. So Im thinking it's the plum, and maybe the amber vanilla. But def the plum. I get a lot of berry from it. Hard to explain really. It's sweet but has depth. Has a maturity to it so not berry in a teen way so to speak. lol The berry component reminds me of along the lines a little of Sun Ripened Raspberry that BBW used to have. Just a little. But It's a little musky and berry-ish and definitely notes of plum that remind me a lot of the Midnight Fantasy. In fact this would layer so good with that perfume.
Was so disappointed. Considering the notes I expected a great gourmand scent. Guess I was expecting the fruitiness to be subtle and the gourmand foody thing to come through more. This was nothing special at all :( In fact I cannot even separate any particular notes. Just a jumbled semi-sweet, slightly spicy mess to me. Sorry but I did not like this at all. Nothing different about it. Nothing unique.

I really like this for something different. I am usually into more sweet fragrances, but my tastes are all over the board. Like different times of the year I prefer different scents and this scent is very Fall to me. Fall and autumn. On first spray it was very masculine. But that only lasts for like a second, literally. Then after a minute or two I was immediately taken back to that Cher perfume Uninhibited from the late 80's or what not. I remember I liked that and this has a little similarity. I looked up the notes and they share several. This is quite woodsy. Like someone else mentioned it seems "bohemian". Like a woody incense smell with a tinge of sweetness. It is actually not overbearing and the drydown on my skin is turning gorgeous. Just a very deep woodsy, green, almost masculine fragrance but not so much that it isnt feminine. It's very clean but rich at the same time. I adore this and will be wearing it a ton come Fall. I cannot separate the rose at all. Notes: citrusy bergamot and Egyptian papyrus, described as a spicy floral-oriental mystery. An exotic heart of Indonesian patchouli, Bulgarian red rose and night blooming jasmine swirl into a luxurious base of creamy vanilla, sandalwood, amber and oakmoss. For reference I looked up Cher Uninhibited for the notes and it shares these: bergamot, jasmine, rose and base notes of sandalwood and vanilla. EDIT: That very first spray where I said it was masculine for like a second, reminded me of Old Spice. I for one actually love Old Spice. Reminds me of my dad and growing up I loved that smell. But its just right at the very beginning. Also, I layered this with a vanilla lotion just to add a little more sweetness to it since it's still summer. Came out gorgeous. It's very different. Certainly not your usual sweet, fruity, girly flower scent that a lot of celebs endorse.
I got the set on HSN. It's a body lotion, wash and the 1.7 oz edp. The bottle is so pretty! The lid is actually two angels - a boy and a girl. Anyhoo, on initial test it reminds me a lot of something I have smelled before. Cannot put my finger on it. Like another perfume or something but cant decide what. It has that clean "baby" feeling to it but i am not getting a baby powder smell or Love's baby soft or anything like that. It's very light and very, very wearable and clean. Not the same kind of clean as the original Glow, but along that line. It get a slighly powdery-slightly sweet lavender with something almost very slightly creamy in the background. All in all I would describe it as just clean. Clean and very nice and feminine. :) Liking it so far.

Got to finally try this. Fancy is a personal fave so had high hopes for it, but was a little skeptical since it tends to be a bit floral. I was very pleasantly surprised! I love this!!! It's actually hard to explain and smelled nothing like I had imaged it would. It has a sweetness to it and a "creaminess" about it. I noticed someone else had put that in a review on the net as well. There is something a little sweet and creamy about it. You get some floral, but they're nice and mild. It's very pretty IMO. I love gourmand scents but this is a nice change, but verges on the edge of being ever so slightly gourmand. Has a little depth to it as well. Try it.

I just love this scent, but especially this time of the year. Right before Spring and during Spring. Just seems perfect. Wearing it today. I have two bottles (the large one with atomizer and a small 0.5 oz for travel). The scent is very soft, very feminine and very unique, at lest to me. It's something you could wear to work or out on a date. It's versatile. I LOVE magnolia. We have two magnolia trees at my mom's and the smell is much like them so evokes great memories. I guess I get mostly white flowers and magnolia with a very slight musk background. But I love how light and refreshing and girly it is, without being sweet. My favorite type of scents are sweet gourmands, but I do love a nicely done floral now and then and this is tops for me :) Well done, Brit. If I were to make a scent it would have been very similar to this. It reminds me very much of home so I get what she intended for it! Oh, and the price is awesome! You can find this at places like Marshall's now or even Wal-Mart. I got both of my latest bottles on sale.

Been really psyched to try this since Fantasy is pretty much my favorite perfume ever. I love really sweet/gourmand like scents like Fantasy, JS Fancy, etc. Got this yesterday and have been testing it out. I've decided I love it! It's quite sweet initially. At the very beginning I get an orange/grapefruit citrus note with sweet sugary vanilla and an almost spicy woodsy background. I searched on the net and a couple of places mention it having mexican vanilla bean and clove. That makes sense and seems like what I am getting ever so slightly in it, but in a very good way. The drydown is great! A creamy warm vanilla amber wood with just a hint of sweetness. So overall I would consider this citrus/gourmand/woodsy, if that could be a category. I suppose it's the vanilla bean and Napolitano cake notes making it so good and sweet :) If you love Fantasy, I really do consider this a more grown up mature version of it. Fantasy is sweet, but this is sweet with an edge to it. Another hit! Highly recommend. And the bottle is gorgeous! It's the same as Fantasy but it is clear deep red glass with very light pink crystals.
I adore this perfume and it is very decently priced! You can find numerous sets for half price at the moment. Though none of the notes suggest so, this scent reminds me of cotton candy. A sweet very slightly cotton candy with a vanilla hint to it. It's gorgeous and very feminine without being too little girl like. I wore this all through the winter and spring. The staying power is great. I hightly recommended it if you love sweet foody gourmand type scents.

EDIT: I didn't get too much floral before but find myself calling it a "candied gardenia". I do get gardenia out of it now, but it is not overly floral so if you're not big on that then it's okay. It's still gorgeous. Very different and lovely. :) Another favorite found. As many others have mentioned, it is in the same category as say Fantasy, Pink Sugar, etc. It is the sweet and sugary fruity gourmand that it is expected to be. Fantasy has been my HG for a long time now, and this is a very welcome addition. I will be wearing this a lot. It's sweet, fruity and creamy and the drydown to me is a creamy sugary caramel. LOVE :) They had the large 3.4 oz bottles and my Macy's so got that. The bottle is also very pretty. I do not find it to be tacky at all. The bottle has little twirling lace designs and butterflies. Looks gorgeous on your vanity or bathroom counter. Staying power is good, too! So psyched I found another sweet and foody fave! :)

I LOVE this! As another reviewer said, it may be a tad bit better than the Azuree Soleil from last year. They are very similar, but this one is just a smidge different and in a good way. It is very summery, reminds me of herbal suntan oil, flowers, sand, and warm sun. The scent lasts a good while and will definitely be a summer staple for me. I am so glad I ordered this and HIGHLY recommend it for your summer go to scent. It's lovely! Packaging quality is nice and the prices are not too bad! You can get a 3.4 oz body oil for 29.50 and it has nice texture and staying power.

Wow. Cannot believe the neg so far :( I have been wearing this almost daily since I got it at the beginning of the month. It is sooooooo Spring to me. So refreshing, crisp, and uplifting. When I put it on I am in a good mood. Feel like "sunshine". I absolutely adore a scent like this one. It has a vibe to it that reminds me ever so slightly of the EA Green Tea scent but it is not the same, just a slight reminder. This one has Darjeeling Tea so perhaps that is what I am getting from it. But I like this far more than EA Green Tea and so far it is my favorite spring/summer scent. I got the lotion and perfume and they're both wonderful and very long lasting. I get a crisp, citrusy tea smell from it. Very bright. Not sharp or cloying. I recommend sampling this. From beginning to drydown it is very lovely and "happy" inducing, at least to me. :)
I reviewed this on the board, so decided to bring it over here. It's about the prettiest face highlighter I have ever seen!!! I got this because of it's looks (sad....i know) and it was my first Dior item ever. I also got the Spring Bouquet eye quint and Fushchia Poplin gloss, and love them, but this flower blossom is just awesome! The glitter on the top comes right off with first use, so that is simply overspray. What is left is very pale pink with some light blue/violet and pale green designs. It is almost matte looking - not much shimmer at all. There is some but very little. The effect is a light pink "flush" with an irredescent (spellcheck?) and candle-like glow to it! Perfect cheek for any m/u look, like if you're wanting bright red lips and neutral face, this is that perfect blush. I am no longer regretting my pricey purchase and I will be using this for a long time :) I'm PPP by the way, with freckles, mostly cool tones, pale blonde and green eyes.
