Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze / on and on bronze
nutella87 5/1/2013 2:46:00 AM
I like it, but actually don't use this product all that often. To me, it's a goldy brown color with lots of shimmer. The shimmers are small though, so it looks like a sheen from far away when applied. However, I find this product difficult to remove completely-- those little shimmers? They remain on my skin and I have to put forth the effort to get a cotton swab and wipe my eyelids. I already do a lot of that while taking off my other eye makeup. This product is water resistant, so I bought it a year ago to wear to a pool party.

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
nutella87 4/16/2013 5:31:00 PM
I bought this product last year during the summer. The goal was to find a powder to set my foundation and concealer and keep me matte, obviously. I purchased this in a colored shade, I don't remember which, just that the color matched well. In any case, I honestly don't think this powder did anything for me. I don't have oily skin, but I do get a sheen after maybe 3 hours. Whenever I powder my face with a good powder, the "sheen" will appear after maybe 5 hours instead. I didn't notice any change (longer time wear or less oil production) which this product. It's cheap, yeah, but I would recommend the ELF Complexion perfection powder (I think it's been renamed though) over this product. The ELF packaging is better and you get a mirror.

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Miracle
nutella87 1/30/2013 1:13:00 AM
I bought this as my purchase in the "gift with purchase" specials that Lancome has all the time. The color match is great; I am NC20-25ish with lots of yellow undertones and I wear Buff 6 w (it's not as yellow as I would like but good enough). However, this foundation only lasts for about 3 hours or so before making me look splotchy. Also I know everyone likes its dewiness, but honestly, it makes me look oily. I have combo skin (dry forehead, oily T-zone, dry cheeks... it weird) for reference. So conclusion: this foundation looks great for the few couple of hours, but eventually fades and makes you look like an oil slick. Not going to repurchase.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Brush-on cream liner in TRUE BLACK
nutella87 6/19/2012 1:02:00 AM
I've been using Bobbi Brown's gel liners for 5 years now. It was the only brand eyeliner I would ever use simply because it was so great! The longevity and color selection were amazing! I used Granite Ink for reference since I like a softer black that's not too harsh. However I kind of got bored and wanted to try something new. I decided to try Clinique's cream liner and I love it. It is definitely comparable to Bobbi Brown's. The color selection isn't as varied, but Clinique has your standard colors. The lasting power is just as great, as is the pigmentation (last for 12 hrs on me with minimal creasing). Now that I have Clinique's cream liner, I think it might very well be creamier than BB's and does not dry out as fast. Oh I should also point out that with BB you pay ~$23 for 3g and for Clinique you pay $15 for 5g. At least in the US anyway. So this will be lasting me a while. It's a good, solid eyeliner. I would just buy this over any drugstore brand. Because $15 for 5g of fantastic product is better than say, $7-9 for mediocre eyeliner (Maybelline's eye studio? Yeah that stuff is crap).

Tinted Moisturizer -Kiehls - tinted moisturizer [DISCONTINUED]
nutella87 4/3/2012 9:44:00 PM
I got two sample sizes of this - one in Light the other in Medium. This is a very good tinted moisturizer. It actually covers my pores and evens out my skin tone. The sunscreen is an added plus. I didn't purchase a full size though because the light was too pinky undertoned (I'm way yellow) and the medium was too dark. :( But it's a really good product. Totally worth the money.

Brows -Unlisted Brand - castor oil
nutella87 3/15/2012 12:46:00 AM
I've been using castor oil on my eyelashes every night for the past month. I always lose a lot of eyelashes during the makeup removal process; I'm so SO gentle each time, and yet they continue to fall out. I figured that maybe my lashline area is dry or something, and so castor oil would be good to moisturize it. Honestly, I haven't seen THAT much of a difference in my lashes. They still fall out like usual, and they're thinner than before. Yes there has been some regrowth, but very little. I don't know. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, please message me about it. I already have thin lashes to begin with, and each time I remove my makeup, they fall out. I even stopped wearing makeup for the past week and the ONE time I put some mascara on today, they still fall out. Ugh.

Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Flavor Cherry
nutella87 2/11/2012 1:58:00 AM
I'm not a fan of the packaging; some of the product kind of leaked through the bottom. Overall I've been wearing this everyday since I've got it. I always have dry lips-- like ALWAYS regardless of whatever product I use. Haven't an idea why. So for me, of course this doesn't moisturize very well. BUT I use it because it fades to a stain. Which I love. So... kind of lasts all day in that aspect. It's like three dollars at Walgreens. Try it out.

Lipstick -Milani - HD Advanced Lip Color in Romantic Rose
nutella87 12/21/2011 3:51:00 AM
I got this on sale at Walgreens for 3.24!! So I went ahead and bought two of them in Romantic Rose. I LOVE THEM. This lipstick applies sheer and glossy, smells like delicious watermelon candy, and is such a cute peachy pink color on me. Like my natural lip color, but with warmer undertones. I may have purchased these on sale, but I would totally pay full price. Lasting power isn't too bad. Like others have mentioned, the lipstick does not fade to a stain. I actually like the packaging. It's sturdy. Overall, a total recommendation. Love it.

Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
nutella87 11/28/2011 4:30:00 PM
Color selection -- not the best, but passable. I have NC 25 skin and wear this in Soft Beige, which is slightly more pink than what is ideal. But I fix that by bronzing up my skin a bit. Lasting power -- very good. I once had it on from 8am to 7pm. It was still in tact and kept my pores covered and my skin tone even. The only con would be that it did make me kind of shiny. So this is good for people with dry skin (me) but you'll have to powder half way through the day. Didn't break me out. Actually smells kind of nice. I recommend it.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche in Fairest Nude
nutella87 11/7/2011 11:55:00 PM
Bought this at WalMart for $5.97. This is my exact lip color, except with purple undertones instead of grey. I may as well just wear clear chapstick, and it would look the same as me wearing this lipstick. I'm sure it works for others, but not for me sadly. And yeah, the smell is kind of strong. At first I didn't mind it too much. In fact, I even liked it. But it didn't fade away like most scents do and eventually gave me a headache. Repurchase? No. Return? Nah. I'll wear it whenever I do a smokey, dramatic eye, but for everyday, I prefer something more pink.

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Stick
nutella87 11/7/2011 9:31:00 PM
I FINALLY FOUND THIS!!! Seriously, I've been reading reviews for the Palmer's Cocoa Butter stick for 3 years now. The repurchasing percentage was so high and the reviews were usually positive. My lips are always dry it seems; I have a lot of lip balms and chapstick. My favorites being Vaseline Intensive Care and Nivea Kiss of Smoothness. But the only reason why I bought those was because I couldn't find this. BUT I HAVE FINALLY FOUND IT. At a neighborhood WalMart surprisingly... I've checked out so many stores before. I've only used this on my lips so far-- and yes, it does smell like cake batter. Yum. Leaves me lips feeling moisturized long after its faded. Not wet though, or greasy like Nivea and Vaseline, but moist. Yes I will be repurchasing. Glue stick appearance? Whatever, I don't apply chapstick in public anyway.

Eyes -Ardell - Brow & Lash Growth Accelerator Treatment Gel
nutella87 11/6/2011 11:59:00 AM
I bought this off of Amazon for $4 for two, plus shipping, so a total of $8. I'm wondering if mine are old or something, because instead of the purple label, its clear? Anyway since using this, I haven't noticed any thickness or length. In fact, my lashes have been falling out more it seems :( FALLING OUT. Ugh. I'm going to stop using this for awhile (I have been using it for about a week) and see if they'll stop falling out. I already have no lashes (Asian lashes) so this is most upsetting. I think I'll switch over to Vaseline and see if that does anything. Waste of money. Does anyone else's smell weird? Maybe it was just the ones I bought. :(

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Lots of Lashes
nutella87 10/19/2011 6:17:00 PM
It's not a bad mascara. I have short, thin lashes, and this mascara gives me enough volume and decent length. To all those who are complaining about this mascara being clumpy -- have you tried to wipe off the excess mascara? That's what I do, and I hardly get clumps. Just try it. I got it for $3.54 or something like that from Target.

Mascara -Almay - Get Up and Grow
nutella87 10/13/2011 12:12:00 AM
I liked it the first time I used it...but my lashes have been falling out recently. Like I've been removing my eye make up the same way as always, but somehow, I'm finding more and more lashes on my cotton pad. Quite tragic really, since I have thin, short lashes to begin with. This mascara was the only new thing in my make up regime, so I'm going to assume its the cause.

Lipstick -E.L.F. - Classy
nutella87 9/13/2011 6:11:00 PM
I've had this lipstick for awhile now. I do like the color; there's nothing wrong with the pigmentation, nor the scent (smells fruity?), or even the packaging (it's not all that glamorous looks-wise, but it's $1). All these aspects of the product are just fine--meaning that they don't disappoint. However, the texture of the lipstick is so drying and not moisturizing at all. But this is not uncommon with matte-like lipsticks. The problem is the after-effect. After this lipstick fades, it leaves a sort of white residue on my lips (which is probably a combination of leftover product and my lipskin). My lips then looks very dry and even grey almost. I just don't think that the ingredients are good for your lips.
