Eyeliner -Revlon - ColorStay Liquid Liner
nurseypills 4/21/2011 7:55:00 PM
Not bad- did not make my eyes sting, and did not run all over my eyes. The black is really intense, though, and the product comes with a thick brush- I really need a more subtle liner than this one. I am not totally crazy about the Cleopatra/Ronnie Spector/Amy Winehouse look that this liner keeps giving my face. Not a terrible product, though- halfway decent for what it is.

Lipstick -Revlon - Siren
nurseypills 4/21/2011 7:48:00 PM
This color is really intense. If you like bold looks, get Siren. It is a loud dark orange tone. I was hoping that it would come out more like a light peach. It is also dry and rubs off unevenly- I look like I am wearing a crazy shocking orange lipliner about an hour after I put it on. I usually enjoy Revlon lipsticks and orange colors, but not this time.

Oily, greasy, paler than listed tone on tube. Overpriced. Will not buy again.

Foundations -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Mousse Makeup
nurseypills 4/21/2011 7:31:00 PM
This stuff isn't half-bad. The creamy feel is less comfortable than a tinted moisturizer, but better than an oily liquid foundation. It turns flour-white in flash photos. Its shades are pretty reliable, although I did notice a few orangey days while using this product, and I am only a #2 skin tone, not the all-time fairest out there. Comes with a level 25 sunscreen in the ingredients. All in all, an OK product that I might or might not buy twice.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL

Very uncomfortable on my face, and looked masky like crazy. Not many tones to choose. Feels like packing flour onto your face- I wanted to rip my cheeks off when I put it on. Takes intense scrubbing to get it off of your face, too. Plus, the women who work the counter are unhelpful, although that could just be a problem with my local store.

Liquid -Clinique - Superfit Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
nurseypills 8/6/2010 7:28:00 PM
This stuff was way whiter than the names of the tones- either that; or the lady who matched me was colorblind. Either way, it still went on thick and oily despite its promises to the contrary, and looked like clowns' greasepaint. Also, for a product that they claim as "100% fragrance-free", I sure did notice an awful lot of Noxzema/disinfectant/cheap-perfume odor to it. Yuck. Overrated and very similar to the cheaper stuff that I had used for years prior.

Oily, masky, and orangey even at my matched tone. Not worth the outrageous price.

Disgusting. Smelly, perfumey, oily mess, with very few tones available. Outrageous price.

Liquid -Origins - Stay Tuned Foundation
nurseypills 8/6/2010 7:22:00 PM
Absolutely the best liquid that I have ever used. Was not oily, masky or uncomfortable. Perfect tone matching, and I have an in-between skin tone. No heavy perfume smell. No feathering into lines and wrinkles, and no acne breakouts. Did not ever turn orange or end up with pools of oil by midday. This makeup is absolutely perfect, and I would like to buy a hundred gallons of it.

Mascara -Bonne Bell - eyestyle in black
nurseypills 8/6/2010 7:19:00 PM
Not recommended- barely shows up on lashes, requires multiple coats, smells funny, and smears under the eyelids. Very low-quality product, esp. for its price range. I have used dirt-cheap products that performed far better.

Eyeliner -Almay - Liquid Eyeliner
nurseypills 8/6/2010 7:15:00 PM
Tiny brush that does not bend. Color way too dark- bought "brown"; ended up with harsh black shade. Difficult to apply- made thick lines no matter how light a hand that I used- still ended up with Cleopatra/Ronnie Spector look. Price was fairly steep for drugstore.

Eye Shadow -Almay - Intense i-Color powder shadow Trio for Browns
nurseypills 8/6/2010 7:12:00 PM
The colors are pretty and go great together. The quality is not that great, though- the stuff crumbles away when you try to get it onto a decent brush, even brand-new. Plus, the pigment does not seem that great, and it fades out pretty quickly. Lives up to its hypoallergenic promises with my skin. Not bad in a pinch. Will probably buy it again just because it is a good bargain and pre-selected, no guessing shades.

Lipstick -Neutrogena - MoistureShine Lip Sheer SPF 20 in Plum Kiss

The color is very pretty; however, the product is dry as a bone, and tastes bitter. I have to re-apply it constantly all day, too.

Liquid -Almay - Smart Shade Makeup SPF 15
nurseypills 7/28/2010 10:12:00 PM
I bought this stuff because I have an in-between skin tone that is hard to match- it is very fair, but still nowhere NEAR as light as the pale-white "ivory" tones in the lightest colors. I saw this product that claimed to match the wearer's "true shade"; plus, they actually carried it in the light/medium combo that sometimes works with me & sometimes doesn't. I thought that I had finally found the one brand of liquid foundation that did not either leave me school-glue white or pumpkin-orange. Guess what happened, though? You guessed it. Pumpkin-orange- and oilier than a clown in greasepaint. It would not even come off with soap & hot water. Disgusting. Full-priced to boot. I am through with cheap drugstore foundations. This is the last straw.
