This is now my favorite gloss. So creamy and my lips look more plump. I bought the apple strudel and creme brulee and both colors are beautiful. Apple strudel is a light coral color and creme brulee is a perfect nude color, reminds me of Mac's everhip lippie. These are slightly thick and last about an hour or so on me. The pigmentation can be built up but these aren't that opaque. Feels great on my lips, moisturizing and I love how they make my lips so much more fuller. Definitely would repurchase.
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - Blackest Black

I used this to tightline and it smudged after an hour in 50 degree weather. I do have really oily eyelids though although I expected a lot more from this. A cheap pencil lasts longer when I tightline than this gel eyeliner. I did like the brush that came with it though and the product itself went on smoothly and easily. Really disappointed it didn't last long. I tried it a 2nd time and set with a black eyeshadow but it didn't help.
HG! Beautiful medium coverage, covers acne scars well. No need for concealer. I use it dry over boots beautifully matte makeup base and it not only lasts all day but looks just as amazing as when I first put it on. That has never happened with my old HG colorstay. The finish is so natural, no one can tell I have makeup on. Cypress beige is a great match for my NC 25 face. I've always used liquid foundation and am glad I switched to this great powder, it just looks so much better and it feels like I don't have anything on my face. And my pores look so much smaller! Woo!
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Yummy Plummy
nsarova 3/19/2010 12:49:00 AM
Yummy it is. What a juicy little number, this is the creamiest colorsensational lippie I've tried. I have 3 others from this line and they aren't quite as creamy as this one. Nice pop of color, a midtone warm purple color, it looks bright on me, the color is pigmented and the lippie smells amazing. Really moisturizing, the other colors I have aren't as moisturizing as this one, maybe I'm biased because I really love this color.. The color lasts and lasts, makes my pout look full and plump with a creamy purple/berry hue. Will buy this color forever! I love this line, haven't bought a color I didn't like.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Charisma #518
nsarova 12/18/2009 11:35:00 AM
I really like these 2 colors used together. It makes my green eyes stand out, more so than other purple colors. I like the dark matte purple but over time it hardens and I have to scrape the top layer off in order to get to the softer powder. It gets so hard that its impossible to get any color payoff if I don't scrape the top layer off. The mauve color remains soft and pigmented and its a really pretty metallic color that goes well with the darker purple. I'm going to rebuy again and hopefully the dark purple doesn't harden up, that's the only negative about this duo.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
nsarova 11/24/2009 12:10:00 AM
I like this lotion and I have oily skin. I use the acne.org treatment gel and regularly use AHA's and BHA's, so my skin is left both oily and dehydrated. This lotion sinks in quick, does not leave me greasy and does not break me out. I mix it with a drop of argan oil and its the perfect moisturizer for the winter. Stops any flakes dead. I also apply a few dots around dry areas before foundation and my foundation still lasts all day. Nice basic stuff, so much hate towards this made me try it out, danke!
Broke me out. I am acne prone though, but I normally don't break out from foundation and I've tried a lot of brands out. The color match was not great either, what a weird bunch of colors and not even a big selection. I tried out the 03 natural beige color and its not that it was too dark, it was just an odd undertone or something. I'm very easy to match, light-medium yellow toned, every foundation has a color that matches that. Except for Guerlain. The 02 color was a huge difference in color from the 03, very light, there should be another color in between these two. The coverage was not great, I could see all my faded red marks through the foundation. There was nothing extreme about this foundation, except maybe the price. It did not last all day or even half the day, it accentuated every pore and just overall looked like it cost a few bucks for the quality. Colorstay looks better on me than this overpriced heavily fragranced hyped up garbage. I don't mind the price if the quality was there. Nice that it worked for so many people, why not me though, shisse.
Crème -Prescriptives - Photochrome Light Adjusting Compact Makeup
nsarova 7/20/2009 4:36:00 PM
I'm adding this to the HG list! I only have 2 other foundations as my HG and this is at number 1. Love how this looks on my skin because it looks exactly like it minus the red marks. It applies like no other foundation I've tried, it feels silky when I apply it with fingers and it just feels comfortable on. It takes about a minute to put it on my cheeks and forehead, really quick and flawless look. I think the coverage is great, medium to full. Its medium with one light layer and can be layered easily without a caky look. I usually wear ivory in prescriptives and the warm ivory is a perfect and extremely natural match. I have really oily skin and I love how this foundation lasts all day while feeling comfy on and not drying like some oil control foundations out there. I powder and blot throughout the day but I'm happy with the way this foundation looks at the end of the day. It won't last through a hot and sweaty run but nothing ever has on me and thats just fine, it does last during hot days with moderate activity though. I don't reapply this during the day, it just made me really oily when I tried that out once. One light layer covers my red marks and lasts all day long, this is so easy to apply and go and so natural on. I can't believe I haven't tried this out before, I'm glad Prescriptives brought it back!
Lip Gloss -NYX - Lip Gloss with Mega Shine - Plush Red
nsarova 6/11/2009 5:50:00 PM
HG red gloss/stain! I have a really hard time finding a pigmented red lip color that works on my skin. This is a bright cherry red color that is pigmented like a lipstick yet also looks quite glossy. I love the applicator, so much better than the brush which always leaked. This does not leak at all. This gloss stays on a long time and fades so well to a beautiful stain. Only 3.99 and theres always some sort of sale, I love this gloss and this line, beats out more expensive brands.
This is one of the few foundations that work exactly as advertised. It lasts all day, does not turn funny colors, does not wear off or look like its breaking down. It is a beautiful thing for oily people, I like this sooooo much better than double wear. DB did not last all day on me, I was always shiny with it on and it was obvious that I had something on my face even though I used so little. DM dries really quickly so I gotta smooth it on fast, and I use very little product to cover up red marks. Beautiful finish, it looks natural and it stays put no matter how hot it gets. I still gotta blot and powder, but much less than all the other foundations I've ever tried, and there have been many that truly sucked. Even though I want to wear this foundation every single day, I can't because it dries my forehead out a bit if I use it for more than a few days. I have really oily skin but I also use acne products on my skin at night and they can sometimes leave me with dry areas. When I use this foundation every other day or so, there are no problems. I use the shade warm tawny, its slightly darker than what I usually wear but I dust on a lighter finishing powder and it helps out with that. Buy this if you are oily and have tried out most of the other oil control foundations and found that they SUCK, because this truly works. EDIT: Still lovin it, especially in hot and humid weather. I love applying aloe first than this foundation while the aloe is still wet on the skin, so easy to spread the foundation this way.
Works great! Takes off foundation and leaves not a trace of it. I have oily skin and this cleans without stripping or leaving any sort of residue. Love how a little dot foams up and washes my entire face. Product lasts a long while since a pea sized dot will do, cheap as well for quite a bit of product. Sucks that I gotta order it online from DHC, $7 shipping makes me kinda mad, actually a lot mad. Why do they have to ship a cleanser thats not even made from glass in a huge ass cardboard box, c'mon now. Love this product, doesn't break me out or make me greasy, it has no fragrance and it cleans it all! I also have the washing powder and don't really like it. Just can't compare to the foam.
Loose Powders -New York Color - Loose Powder-Naturally Beige
nsarova 3/16/2009 2:01:00 PM
My fav powder and it beats out Mac blot and Urban Decay's rice powder. It sets my liquid foundation so well, it makes my skin look airbrushed and pores disappear. It has silica in it so it makes my skin look smooth and flawless. I like the color of this as well, my foundation is a bit too light and the tan color of this powder gives some color to my face. If your pale this might make you look orange. This powder has some coverage as well, its definitely not translucent, covers some redness. My oil also stays away a bit longer with this on, but if I apply this powder more than 4 times a day it starts to look obvious and slightly cakey. The packaging is not portable, I just transfer some of the powder to another jar and its all good. Give this a try, I was suprised at the quality, thanks MUA for these reviews!!
I will never miss a night without using this. HG toner and red spot lightner! I have red marks all over my cheeks from past and new acne infestations and just by using lemon juice, my marks have become faded by about 50%. That is amazing! Even if 50% is all the results that I will see, I am so happy at this that I don't really care about any more progress! But I bet if I keep on using this every night more redness will fade. Also, my pores look so tight when I put this on and even the next day when I wash my face and put on foundation. Foundation looks amazing on, I have to use much less now to cover up those red spots. Acne does not like this goodness, it stays away and for good reason, lemons kick some acidic butt. Lemon juice doesn't irritate or dry me out at all, it helps out with oil production and evens my skin out like nothing else. I only use this at night as a toner and then apply Dan Kern's BP treatment right on after. I also found that squeezing a lemon myself rather than the pacakged lemon juice works much better for me. Try this out, it works better than the overpriced skin lightning junk out there. Forgot to add that this is also a great exfoliator, keeps skin really smooth.
Liquid -Shiseido - Sun Protection Liquid Foundation SPF 42 PA+++

Yep, this is HG right here, finally!!! It lasts all day, no matter what in the hell I'm doing, sweating, being an oil slick or doing any intense activity, it just keeps on going! It may not look as good as first applied but its still on and keeping red acne scars all covered up. I'm realllllly oily and it still makes me mad, but this foundation doesn't melt off even after a hardcore workout. I do have to frequently blot though, just like with other foundations but the advantage of this foundation is that when I blot, the foundation isen't blotted away, its still on no matter how much I blot throughout the day. Yeaaa! Love the coverage as well, its full coverage with one layer, covers scars really well. There is a heavy fragrance to this though, not a bad smell but still a bit odd that its there. Love that its high spf, no need to layer more crud on my face. No breakouts either! Sometimes I have some dry spots on my face, yet when I put this foundation on without moisturizer, it doesn't accentuate any of those spots. The first time I wore this I put loads of moisturizer on because I though it would show dry spots but that was a mistake, I was a complete oil slick that day. No need for moisturizer if your oily, jaaaa! I actually thought their color selection is pretty good, but I'm fair-medium and yellow toned and 50 worked out great but so did 40 and 60. Not a good selection for dark skinned women. I use jojoba oil to get this off, takes every trace of it off no matter how sad I am to see it go. Anyway this is HG and I am ending the search here and now.

Sinks into my pores, makes me a greasy oily wreak within 2 hrs. What in the hell, what kind of foundation looks so good at first then makes one look like a frying pan with all the fat coagulated at the bottom within a few hrs of wear in the f'ckin WINTER!
