Mascara -Tarte - Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara
notoriouskkg 12/21/2012 7:06:00 AM
This is my new HG mascara for daily use! It gives a very natural look with plenty of fullness and length without the clumping. When I wear it, my lashes look long, soft, and fluttery. What really blew me away were the conditioning properties. After a few weeks, I noticed my lashes seemed longer, stronger, and thicker, and they hardly fall out anymore. Even my friends have noticed and have asked me what mascara I wear! This isn't a mascara I would recommend for a night out. I still use my Lancôme Hypnose for that. But now that my lashes are healthier, it's just like WOW when I wear my Hypnose!

Eyeliner -Smashbox - Cream Eye Liner - Midnight Brown
notoriouskkg 5/21/2012 3:04:00 AM
First off, I got this in a 500 point perk from Sephora along with an eyeshadow trio and primer. I first hated this liner because I didn't have an appropriate brush. To save money, I went out and bought a $3 angled eyeliner brush from e.l.f. (which SUCKED). It took me a while to realize that the problem was with the crappy brush and not the product. Later, my mom bought me the Smashbox Sepia cream liner from their Girls on Film collection (which is gorgeous), and it included a travel-size cream liner brush. I was finally able to apply my Midnight Brown appropriately and see what a great product it actually is. You get so much product in the jar, as well. I've had this for over a year, and I'm still pretty far from hitting pan (I use this liner at least 2-3 times per week). This is a great basic liner. The color payoff is awesome, and it's a beautiful chocolate brown, even though the name "Midnight Brown" implies that it is a blackish brown. It is so smooth and creamy, and it glides on my lids so easily. You don't need a lot. In fact, I think most of the complaints are coming from people who are using too much product. If you use too much, it does get smudgey and clumping. So, don't use so much! Also, if you apply it on top of eyeshadow and primer, it lasts all day long.

Lip Gloss -Clinique - Glosswear for Lips- Tenderheart
notoriouskkg 5/19/2012 6:38:00 AM
Love this gloss! It's smooth, and the color is creamy and consistent. It has a faint sweet scent, which is nice. It is a lovely color for fall and winter. Oh yeah, and it lasts for a long, long time, through meals even. So, thumbs up!

Lip Gloss -Clinique - Long Last Glosswear SPF 15 in Clearly Pink
notoriouskkg 5/19/2012 6:32:00 AM
I bought this as a cheaper alternative to NARS Easy Lover. It's not an exact match. In fact, it is much less pigmented and the color is not as deep. However, I still like this color very much. I now just have to shell out the $24 for a tube of Easy Lover, which I'm not excited about. :/

Highlighters -E.L.F. - All Over Color Stick
notoriouskkg 5/19/2012 4:32:00 AM
For only one dollar, this stuff is great! I own it in Pink Lemonade, and I am interested in purchasing in other colors. It goes on smoothly, and blends well (I rub it on my fingers and use my fingers to apply it on my cheeks). It gives me a very natural rosy glow. You don't get too much product, but then again, it's only one dollar.

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Hypershine Gloss - Flirt
notoriouskkg 5/19/2012 4:23:00 AM
Just bought my second tube of this stuff today. It's a lovely peachy-pink semi-sheer gloss, and it has a nice creamy formula. It has a rather generic sweet scent. It's not the greatest gloss, and it's definitely not my favorite gloss in my collection. However, it's only ONE DOLLAR!!! And, that's what makes this gloss so great.

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Stick
notoriouskkg 5/19/2012 4:04:00 AM
Best. Lip balm. Ever. I love this stuff! It goes on so smoothly, and it is so quickly absorbed into my lips. I have used all the drugstore lip balms/chapsticks out there (soft lips, Nivea, Carmex, Blistex, Chapstick, Burt's Bees, etc.), and none have kept my lips so hydrated. I love the cocoa butter smell. It's so affordable, like only $2.50 per tube, and you get sooo much product for your investment! This thing is the size of a glue stick, which is a bit awkward, but I still love this stuff! This is my HG lip balm. I may change my mind if I ever decide to shell out the $23 for Fresh Sugar lip balm, but until then, this stuff is IT!

Lip Gloss -Palladio - Herbal Plump 'N' Shine Creamy Pink
notoriouskkg 9/4/2011 1:42:00 PM
I think this is a great gloss. It's a nice milky pink with some slight peach tones. I actually think this is a much better fit for me than NARS Turkish Delight. It is not as cool-toned, it is MUCH cheaper, it is more sheer, and it has a thicker consistency. I haven't noticed much of a plumping effect, but that's ok for me because I have very naturally full lips. This is a great gloss to wear with a smokey eye. I will definitely repurchase this gloss as long as it is still made!

Mascara -Smashbox - Full Exposure
notoriouskkg 8/28/2011 4:47:00 AM
This is a good lengthening mascara. The brush is almost identical to the Diorshow brush. Sadly, it is not as thickening and volumizing as Diorshow, though. However, it is about $6 cheaper, so I am more willing to accept that. My one main criticism is that If I apply more than one layer, my lashes immediately become clumpy and MUCH shorter in appearance. So, only apply one layer. It looks nice and pretty, but not dramatic (which is the effect I was looking for). I will continue to use this, but I won't repurchase because it does not create the drama I want. It is not a bad mascara, but I'm looking for something with more oomph.

Liquid -Smashbox - Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Fdt.
notoriouskkg 8/28/2011 4:31:00 AM
This foundation is awesome! It is not too oily, nor is it too drying. This product lives up to its name because it easily lasts 15+ hours, and it looks very fresh all day. I do have a somewhat oily t-zone, and it keeps my forehead, nose, and chin completely matte all day with no need for touch-ups! Also, it is very sweatproof, which is great for me because I tend to perspire a lot. It only failed on me once, but I was in the sun in 97 degree weather, and I was sweating so much that I looked like I had been drenched in water (gross, I know). I like the little pump bottle design with a nice little cap over the pump to prevent messes. Two pumps is enough to give my entire face good medium coverage. I often do not need concealer with this foundation (and I do not wear primer, but I would like to try it). In my opinion, $42 is pretty steep for foundation, but I will continue to buy it because it really is that great! I only have two small complaints about this though: 1. The lightest shade, 1.1, is still a little too dark for my very fair skin. I do not think this will be an issue during the summer, but I am concerned that it may be a few shades too dark for winter. 2. It stays on FOREVER, which is great during the day, but a pain at night. This product is not easily removed! My best advice is to use an exfoliator and a sponge, buffpuff, or washcloth to remove it.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Vivite Exfoliating Facial Cleanser
notoriouskkg 8/21/2011 12:26:00 AM
My dermatologist recommended this to me to help with my clogged and inflamed pores on my chin. Not only has it worked wonders for that, but it has also done a great job at keeping the rest of my skin very fresh looking. It is pretty pricey (40 USD for about 6 oz), but I think it is totally worth it. I am not a fan of the smell, and if I am not careful, it can be quite harsh on my sensitive skin. I use about a nickel size amount a maximum of two nights a week (most weeks I only use it once). I've only had this bottle for two weeks, but I can tell that this will last me for at least 6-7 months, perhaps even a year. So it may even be cheaper to buy this for $40 than to pay $5 every month for a new bottle of St. Ives Apricot Scrub (which doesn't exfoliate as well, but it does smell nice). Overall, I highly recommend this product... but don't get it up your nose when you're scrubbing because it burns like crazy!!!

Moisturizers -Babor - Perfect Combination Day Cream
notoriouskkg 8/17/2011 1:37:00 AM
Ugh! This is such a disappointment. I have been a loyal Babor user since I was 16, and I've had no complaints until I got this! Although it does moisturize a bit, it does practically nothing to help control my oily t-zone. Also, it does not absorb well, and it leaves a film on top of my skin, which is gross and makes my makeup much harder to stay on. If you have oily/acne-prone skin, I suggest Babor's Pure cream. It is so much better than this gunk!!!

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Babor Rose Toning Lotion
notoriouskkg 8/17/2011 1:24:00 AM
This stuff is awesome!!! It has become my HG toner (replacing Dior). I have sensitive skin, and the rose toning lotion doesn't sting very much at all. I also love its soft rose aroma that lingers for a couple of minutes but is not overpowering. Just 1-2 pumps onto a cotton ball is all you need for your entire face. It's pricy, but it lasts a long while (I've been using my current bottle for 5 months and I still have at least 40% left). I will definitely continue to buy this!

Lip Gloss -NARS - Moon Fleet
notoriouskkg 8/16/2011 11:45:00 AM
I got this in the Chase the Boys gift set that I received from my mom at Christmas. I think it is a good quality gloss. Like other reviewers have said, it is shimmery but not glittery, which I like a lot. I think that this is the first gloss with glitter flecks that I can't feel, and it doesn't make my lips itch, which is awesome! The subtle sparkle makes my full lips really stand out and look brilliant. I love to wear it over deep wine lipstains and red lipsticks. I also like wearing it over Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Belle de Jour. I never reapply it after it wears off because it leaves behind so many sparkles, so what I'm left with is a sparkly matte lip. It sounds strange, but it really looks fantastic. I am only giving it a 4 out of 5 because of the smell and taste, which are yuck! If it weren't for that awful plasticky smell, I would gladly award this gloss a 5.

Treatments (Eye) -Shiseido - Bioperformance Super Eye Contour
notoriouskkg 8/16/2011 1:33:00 AM
This is the only eye cream I have ever bought more than once! It is my HG!!! Although I am young, I have dark circles, which I inherited from my mother's side of the family. It has not gotten rid of my dark circles (not that I expected it to), but it has faded them beyond my expectations. Now I use much less concealer, and I can often get by with only using my foundation. It makes the skin around my eyes so soft and supple. I can't comment on whether it works for wrinkles (since I don't have any... yet), however I think it's great for undereye circles, as long as you stay realistic and don't expect a miracle.
