Sunscreen -Shiseido - Senka Mineral UV Gel SPF50 PA+++
notalike 4/5/2012 8:33:00 PM
I watched Fuzkittie's review on Youtube and decided to give it a try. Love it love it love it. Great sunscreen. Truly mattifying. Does have a gel like texture which doesn't bother me at all. I'm on my second bottle now and just ordered 3 more from imomoko.com for $16.99 a bottle. It will be great for summer time. Would purchase again.

Tinted Moisturizer -Shiseido - Tinted Moisture Protection SPF 20

Awful product! -Difficult to blend even with a relatively thin consistency. -Extremely greasy after 10-20 mins. For ppl with very dry skin, it may work. Not worth the $$. Won't purchase again.

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid

As a big fan of LRP products and having been using their SPF 60 and SPF45 for the last couple of years I was very excited about this SS when it came. It was really disappointing. It leaves a terrible white cast that doesn't go away even after much rubbing and waiting for a long time. Won't purchase again.

Crème -Bobbi Brown - Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation
notalike 4/2/2011 2:16:00 PM
I'm not an expert or super duper fussy about foundations, but I do have my standard. This is the worst foundation I've ever used. It's especially bad considering the price ($42). I got snookered because it's oil free. So, after trying to work it out with a several different methods and ways, I reached the following conclusion: Pros: -Packaging. Cons: -- says oil free, but ~20 mins after applying, my entire face is a disco ball. -- feels grainy when blending (even though it feels oh-so smooth when you rub the foundation in the pan). -- doesn't blend well - patchy. -- doesn't feel smooth on the face. -- feels very heavy. -- no spf. -- oxidizes when I use sunscreen under it. (what's the point? if it doesn't have SPF in it, at least I should be able to use SS under) -- price Huge regret. Will throw out and no more BB foundation.

Cleansers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser
notalike 3/27/2011 3:15:00 PM
I love LRP and I use a lot of their products, namely, their Physiological, Anthelios, Effaclar and Lipikar line. This was my first try of Toleriane line product, which is for intolerant skin. So, it is basically, a cleansing milk that seems to calm the skin a bit, a lot like many cleansers that are for sensitive skin. It says it will remove makeup, but it really doesn't. It's too gentle for that. However, it is great as a morning cleanser OR as an additional step to the cleansing routine. It has a yogurt-y scent - nothing bad or good about that. All in all, it is an OK product. Didn't do me any harm. Won't be purchasing again. EDIT - 03/18/2012: I'm adding another lippie to four lippies. I purchase again. I'm liking it more and more because it's very gentle. As my skin is becoming drier, I really appreciate the milkiness of the cleanser. I use it a final step to my cleansing routine to massage my skin. Will be purcahsing again.

Cleansers -La Roche Posay - Physiological Cleansing Gel
notalike 3/26/2011 2:01:00 PM
I'm in love with LRP's entire Physiological line and this cleanser is no exception. It's a thick gel cleanser that's great to massage over face and it smells divine. I wouldn't delude myself by thinking that it will take off my make up AND mascara, because It won't and it doesn't. However, when used as a gentle cleanser after taking off my makeup with a special remover or use it as a morning cleanser, it is great and very refreshing. I'd say it's average priced. Available at CVS and LRP website. Highly recommended. I would purchase again.

Scrubs -La Roche Posay - Physiological Ultra-Fine Scrub
notalike 3/24/2011 7:05:00 PM
The best scrub ever! Another great product from LRP Physiological line. This is the most finely grained scrub, therefore non-irritating to the skin. It also has an extremely pleasant scent, as the entire Physiological line does. Highly recommended. Average priced ~ around $18.00. Available at CVS and LRP's official website.

Treatments (Eye) -Christian Dior - Hydra Life Pro-Youth Sorbet Eye Cream
notalike 2/10/2011 12:01:00 AM
I'm sorry to be a party-pooper, but it didn't work for me at all. It was given to me as a sample at Sephora. When I applied first, it felt very nice - very moisturizing, absorbed nicely, and I really liked the scent. However, the next morning I got small, hard "white-head" like rashes under my eyes. I thought I applied too much of it and decided to give it another try before bad mouthing about it. So, I waited for the rashes to clear up first - which took more than a week. Two nights ago, I applied it again on my newly "healed" under eye area. This time I was determined not to apply too much. Sure enough, I got exact same rashes under my eyes now. Rather disappointing. Out it goes.

Liquid -Korres - Wild Rose Foundation
notalike 10/13/2010 7:17:00 PM
I was at Sephora planning to purchase Nars Sheer Glow, but as always, I strayed and ended up with this foundation. Boy, am I glad that I strayed, coz I LOVE this foundation. It's the only foundation that matches my skin color 100% (I got WRF2). The whole Korres line is a dream come true for yellow toned skin. I've never had HG foundation but I think I found it. I use my fingers to loosely apply and blend out with my beautyblender sponge which gives me the most gorgeous, flawless finish. I can't stop looking at my skin. I look in the mirror every time I stop at a stoplight :D So, here are the PROS: - very light on the skin. - spf20 - doesn't make my skin greasy - doesn't transfer - hasn't broken me out so far - good average price. CONS: - packaging could be improved. Would prefer pump.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Vivite Vibrance Therapy
notalike 10/5/2010 12:37:00 AM
I wanted to use a hydroquinone-free skin "lightener" since I have quite a bit of acne scars and sun spots. So, my dermatologist suggested this one. It is a physician dispensed product and it is very expensive ($125.00). I just hope this will do what it says it'll do, because I don't like it at all. The biggest problem I have is that it DOES NOT absorb and peels off even with the slightest touch. I simply can't use it in the morning and apply my foundation on top. So I only use it at night after my moisturizer and just deal with the peeling problem. Quite disappointing. Since it's been only a week, haven't noticed any result yet. Will update.

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid
notalike 10/3/2010 2:01:00 PM
To me it's the best SS I've ever used. It surpasses my Shiseido SPF 55 and Diorsnow SPF 50 sunscreens. So here are the points: - It is extremely lightweight; - Absorbs instantaneously to a matte finish; - It doesn't leave a white cast at all; - It doesn't take long before the oiliness dissipates. - It takes the least amount of effort to blend, unlike most sunscreens; and - It's never ever balled on me when I put moisturizers or foundation on top of it. Superb product. Will be purchasing again and again. And, it's cheaper than both Shiseido and Diorsnow I mentioned above. I'm just so glad that CVS carries this brand.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews below. To me it's the best SS I've ever used. It beats my Shiseido SPF 55 and Diorsnow SPF 50, and here is why: - It is extremely lightweight; - absorbs instantaneously to a matte finish; - doesn't leave a white cast at all; - it doesn't take long before the oiliness dissipates. - It takes the least amount of effort to blend, unlike most sunscreens; and - it never ever balled on me when I put moisturizers or foundation on top of it. Superb product. Will be purchasing again and again. And, it's cheaper than both Shiseido and Diorsnow I mentioned above. I'm just so glad that CVS carries this brand.

Cleansers -La Roche Posay - physiological micellar solution
notalike 9/29/2010 9:34:00 PM
One of my impulse purchases, since I do like La Roche Posay in general. So... It feels like scented water, yet it takes off everything. How is that even possible? Just amazing! It doesn't dry the skin, and since it's not an oil based cleanser, it doesn't leave the skin greasy either, and it takes off my mascara. So technically, I don't need a separate eye makeup remover. This is an all-in-one cleanser. Superb product. Will be purchasing again and again. $18 for 200 ml.

Skincare - Body -LUSH - Each Peach Massage Bar
notalike 9/16/2010 2:09:00 PM
I do like the scent and the fact that it is fun to use. However it never absorbs into my skin and it just sits on my skin forever. It is also more greasy than moisturizing. I have very dry skin - especially my shins and upper arms. So, usually lotions/creams get absorbed immediately on those areas. Not with this massage bar. I think my unhealthy, albeit short lived, addiction to LUSH is coming to an end :(

Lotions/ Creams -Crabtree & Evelyn - Aloe Vera Hydrating Body Lotion
notalike 9/16/2010 1:53:00 PM
Wonderful body lotion. Smells heavenly - so refreshing and kind of minty. It has a thin and milky texture. Absorbs into the skin instantaneously and leaves the skin oh-so smooth and hydrated. The scent lingers quite awhile, therefore it might interfere with the perfume. Not a huge deal, but just a little side comment. WILL be repurchasing. As I recall, it was around $20 and comes in a 250ml clear plastic bottle with a pump. Highly recommended!
