Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 70

I've purchased this last year and used it when I go out running in the morning then I wash it off in the shower. Everything was okay then, loved the "dry touch". This year, I has a laser procedure done to remove my freakles so I've started using this every day to protect my skin. I've started noticing that my face became very dry and there's this permanent red dry patch on my face. Everything I've applied to my face to moisturize it just burned. I then spent several gloomy days indoors and hence, no need for sunblock and the patch went away! But it came back within 2 days of using this. I've read a lot of similar reviews online. Guess this is not good for long term use.

Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Mascara Base [DISCONTINUED]

I'm probably on my 3rd or 4th tube of this product. To test drive this mascara base, I took a hot, steamy bath with my lashes coated with this base and Shiseido's distinguish mascara. I have short, sparse and straight asian lashes which tends to lose its curl within a few hours after apply my mascara. I did this test at the end of the day when my mascara has been applied for more than 12 hours, and my lashes came out of the bath still curled! there was a little mascara run, but not too bad. So I've started using this product ever since. The downside is, this makes your mascara really hard to take off. But I don't mind the extra work to take this product off when it gives me the thick, curly lashes that I was not blessed with. For a good makeup remover, try Kiehls.

Eye Makeup Remover -Kiehls - Supremely Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover
rated 5 of 5

I've used H2O, Lancome, Evian, Guinot and several other asian brands and nothing can take off my Shiseido Mascara and Base as well as this! Shiseido mascara is easy to take off on its own, but paired with the mascara base, it's the most difficult combo to take off. My previous solution with the other removers is to shower with my makeup on, then use the remover to take off what's left and finally do the full facial cleansing. But with Kiehls, I did not need to do that and it is so gentle that it does not sting the eyes. What to do with stubborn makeup. Dispense onto your botton pad/kleenex, and place the pad on your eyes, leave for about 15 seconds to let the makeup dissolve, then do your up/down passes to get the rest of the makeup off. No rinsing required!

Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Distinguish Mascara
rated 5 of 5

I've have short, thin asian lashes. I've tried L'Oreal double extend, MAC, Biotherm Lengthening, Shiseido PN, Anna Sui and lots more. This mascara is somewhat expensive (26CAD + taxes) but I love how it gives me separated lashes. No clumps, no mess and I love the thin applicator! It's good for a daily "daytime" natural look. However, I would prefer something more dramatic for a night out.
