Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink
rated 2 of 5

I always use mac blacktrack but I heard so many raving reviews about the bobbi brown longwear gel liner, so I thought why not buy it and try it but wow is it awful! it has been quite hot in the UK past week so this may be why but it smudges soo much whereas the mac one wont. It really is a mess it looks like black grease on my lids, shiny and smudgey. I like the texture of it, its really creamy and it applies nicely with the mac fine eyeliner brush, its also a nice looking black ( i know this sounds weird but the mac and bobbi brown colour of black is slightly different). Despite all this I cannot wear this again, I may try this again in winter however I definately would not purchase again as the mac one performs well in hot and cool weather.

Polishes -OPI - Here Today ... Aragon Tomorrow

I couldnt wait to try this as soon as i bought it but I have to say I am quite dissapointed with it. I was hoping for a dark green but this just looks like a bad black in most lights. The formula is also quite watery however it still applies ok. I guess its just the colour that dissapointed me a little.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush Pink Swoon
rated 3 of 5
noddy154 6/30/2011 9:02:00 AM

This blush is a lovely subtle pink colour and looks very natural especially for everyday wear. Also i like that its matte because sometimes you need a few matte blushes in your makeup stash. But I find that it's not very pigmented at all especially compared to Nars blushes. Also I find that it doesnt last long when applied, it has to be touched up throughout the day because it tends to dissapear. It's a shame because it is a lovely colour so if I find a dupe then I won't be buying this again.

Polishes -China Glaze - life preserver

In the bottle this looks like a greyed out dull orange but its really alot brighter when worn which wasnt expected. I really love the colour but im not sure i can pull it off so im not sure I would buy it again. However there is no other colour like it that ive seen. It would probably a colour best suited in summer. The formulas great as always with china glaze nail polishes.

Polishes -China Glaze - Below Deck

I love the formula of china glaze nail polishes, one of the best out there. This colour reminds me of essie merino cool, it isnt really anything special and there are alot of colours similar to this available, but I love it as a nude because it goes with anything. I'ts sort of a greyish purple colour. I think I still prefer OPI you dont jacques as an everyday colour though because it has less purple in it, the two are similar but theyre also very different. You get an opaque finish with 2 coats and it lasts a long long time. It also dries pretty fast which is always a plus.

Polishes -Zoya - Caitlin

My first Zoya nail polish but im sort of dissapointed. I expected more from zoya because of the reputation it has. The colours gorgeous I love it and I was so impressed at first because with just one coat it was almost opaque, it was super pigmented. But I found it so difficult to get a good finish with this I was so frustrated when applying it! the formulas too thick and gloopy and it takes ages to dry because it seems like everything leaves an imprint in it so you have to sit still forever. Ive not decided if its worth the effort but for this reason it only gets 2 lippies. I bought a few other zoya nail polishes with this so I guess ill have to test them out to see if theyre the same.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
rated 5 of 5
noddy154 6/3/2011 6:39:00 AM

I am now a convert to gel liners. I have used gel liners before but i still chose to stick to liquid liners but this is really impressive. Super pigmented when applied so you get a nice jet black line. Also its really easy to work with you can get the amount u need and apply, its really soft and creamy at first but it dries completely matte. I love that its jet black and u dont need to layer it on to get that jet black line. Also it doesnt smudge when its dried which i was worried about and lasts all day for me, i absolutely love it and will be repurchasing this when i need to. However thers so much product in it and you use so little each time so i think it will last me a very long time.

Liquid -Clarins - Everlasting Foundation SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
noddy154 6/2/2011 1:08:00 PM

Despite the bad reviews, this is my HG foundation honestly. I've tried them all; Dior, Estee Lauder, Chanel, Bobbi Brown and Mac etc and this one I find to be the best out of them all surprisingly. The colour match was hard for me so ive gone with a shade half a shade darker than myself, otherwise the rest are too light. But here are the pros and cons that ive found: PROS: + Really natural looking (looks cakey and unnatural when first applied but give it 20minutes roughly and it settles into a really nice natural flawless finish) + Lasts over 10 hours seriously, and still looks amazing + Medium to full coverage depending on how much u build on it, any imperfections will definately be hidden with this + Packaging is a nice frosted glass bottle with a pump, definately hate it when they come without a pump + Semi matte finish, I like matte foundations but they usually dry out my skin way too much so ive compromised and this is the best matte foundation ive tried. + Super pigmented and opaque so a little goes a long way with this foundation, so it will last you a long time + The price is reasonable unlike many other foundations ive tried, usually you assume the more expensive it is the better it is but its really not the case with this foundation! Definately good value for money. CONS: - When applied you have to blend it out really quickly as it dries quick, this means that its easy to get a caked look with this foundation - It has a scent, personally it doesnt bother me, but ive listed it as a con as i know alot of people hate scented products. - if you have dry skin patches or flakey skin, it will make it more noticable, i dont know how it affects oily skin because my skin is normal/dry

Blush -MAC - something special
rated 5 of 5
noddy154 5/20/2011 4:28:00 PM

Im surprised there are not more reviews on this product. This is one of macs new cremeblend formulas. Its such a beautiful shade I love it. I'ts a bright coral sort of colour. I originally bought 'So sweet and so easy' but it washed me out unfortunately as it was such a cool toned pale pink so I bought this one and I am so glad! it warms up my complexion and adds that bit of colour I need. Also I find it has longer staying power than 'so sweet so easy'.

Lipstick -MAC - Velvet Teddy
rated 5 of 5
noddy154 5/20/2011 3:55:00 PM

Absolutely love this lipstick, it's one of my top 5 nudes. Its the perfect nude nude for me, not too pink or not too brownish or too orange its just perfect on me. Also I hate lipsticks that are lighter than my skin colour, i dont think its flattering at all but this is the perfect shade, it's just a little bit darker than my skin colour. I'ts a matte lipstick but surprisingly it isnt drying at all and I tend to have quite dry lips so matte lipsticks highlight that more but not this. I will definately be repurchasing this.

Lipstick -MAC - Matte - Kinda Sexy
rated 2 of 5
noddy154 5/14/2011 3:56:00 PM

Definately not what i expected. it appeared to be a sort of nude pink colour but it pulls off as quite coral/orange (im NC25). However it is still a nude which is what i was aiming for but it is nothing special, it has no wow factor. Also because its a matte lipstick, some sort of lip conditioner needs to be applied first otherwise its hard to apply and looks awful. Another thing is that if you have dry lips it will look even worse with this lipstick. It is a pretty colour and ive tried to love it however when i wear it theres something off about it, it does something weird for my complexion. For those who were looking for a nude pink colour as i was, you should try modesty. they look almost identical in the tube but when applied modesty has more of a pink tone

Polishes -OPI - Can You Tapas This?
rated 4 of 5
noddy154 4/27/2011 7:57:00 AM

I Love this colour, its the perfect browny red, its a gorgeous raisin colour, ive been wanting a colour quite like this for some time. It is quite a dark shade so it can look a bit vampy but I've no problem with that, I love dark colours. The formulas is highly pigmented but it can be a little thick at times. Im quite pleased with this buy, I would definately purchase it again

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 138 Tapered Face Brush
rated 5 of 5
noddy154 4/23/2011 2:57:00 PM

Ah i love this brush. Iits so soft on your face and it hasnt shed a bristle yet. it works well with pigmented blushes and blends them out easily, i used to have a problem with other brushes and pigmented powder blush because it never used to blend out easily and when it finally did it was after putting alot of time and effort in it which was annoying. Its really good for creating soft blended looks of contour. If you were using it for blush alone i would go for the 129, because its quite round and fits the apples of your cheeks perfectly. Or if you wanted more of a harsh contour then the 165 is better than the 138 because the 165 is quite precise due to its small size and the 138 is larger so it gives more of a blended look. For me, i like to do both harsh and blended contour depending on the day or the look so i do use both brushes alot. Its really a multipurpose brush, you can use it for contour, blush and highlighting. You could even use it for powder i guess but i cant say ive tried it. Its a brush worth getting, im glad i own it.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Angelika
rated 5 of 5
noddy154 4/21/2011 1:31:00 PM

I was nervous about buying this product but i kept noticing it so thought why not just go for it. im glad i did because its such a pretty pink colour. i was scared about how bright it would be because its really bright in the tube but when its applied its quite sheer so you dont end up looking like a plastic barbie. i love nars lip glosses, theyre the best ive used, they last a long time and the colours and pigmentation are amazing. the only downside to it, is that its quite pricey but its to be expected from nars.

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat
rated 5 of 5
noddy154 4/21/2011 6:58:00 AM

I chose this blush instead of orgasm as the colours looked pretty much the same to me except orgasm had alot more shimmer in it. Also, when swatched, Deep throat seemed to be more pigmented than Orgasm, you have to remember to use a light hand with this product because of this. If too much is applied i find it can look a bit reddish on the skin. I think it will last me a very long time because you only use so little of it everyday. It's like a peachy pink colour). It just adds that bit of colour and warmth you need to your face and its very natural looking because its peachy. I think it is overpriced but most nars product are i guess, but i think it is the perfect peachy pink blush to go for. I find myself reaching for this more often than any of my most loved blushes, im so glad i bought it
