this is a pretty mauvey pink on me. this is the type of shade i would go for a close to nude-ish shade though it's not really nude at all. on me it's a light, rosy pink that's so natural looking. the creme formula is moisturizing enough and has decent staying power. too bad it's dc now...i will have to search for a dupe when i finish my tube.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - De La Cruz 10% Sulfur Ointment

about me - cystic acne prone skin. i bought this on recommendation from the skin care board. it wasn't too expensive and i was desperate to try something effective. i've tried icing and advil-ing to stop new cysts, which did nothing for me. i've also used other topicals eg BP, differin which weren't doing the trick for me. this ointment cleared up deep cysts on my cheeks i had for months and now prevents new ones from forming. if i don't monitor enough and a cyst forms before i can paste this on, using it really helps heal and dry it up much quicker than on its own. be careful not to leave on for very long - start with just 10 minutes in the beginning - as this is very drying on skin. also do not slather everywhere like a mask or in areas where you don't have pimples because you'll do more damage than good. i will repurchase forever or unless this stops working ( which i pray it wont)
in tube this looks super bright but on the lips its sheer upon first swipe. i usually build it up to pack more of a punch on the lips. the colour is a light-medium bright pink. the lustre formula makes super creamy and moisturizing. i sometimes layer this over more matte shades i own to moisten them up and give some colour complexity. the only downside is that you must re-apply after eating/drinking in order to maintain that pretty, moist pout. i dont find that it leaves a pigmented stain on my lips after it wears off.
picked this up at a l'oreal warehouse sale. got it for $4 so a good deal (considering l'oreal lipsticks go for around $10 CAD). i agree with the reviewer about it being a cranberry red. it's different from other reds I own. moisturizing and fairly long lasting. would re-purchase but this was a LE lipstick
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Infallible Plumping 6 Hour Lipgloss

this gloss surprised me greatly. i don't mind any stickiness etc in a gloss. it needs to be that way in order to last. this is one of the best long wearing glosses i've tried. i find that if i use over lipstick, and it sets, it makes my lip colour last longer too. i have 2 of these - in red and mauve and i would buy again.
my fave family of lipstick shade - gorgeous bright pink. i find it a wearable fuschia pink though. instant prettiness with this on. the formula is moderately lasting and extremely pigmented. truly a lovely, standout colour!
Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Mat Velvet PLUS Matifying Foundation

i don't find mat velvet to be overly mattifying. i've found myself dewy after the first couple of hours wearing this. so the name misled me. that said, on me i find it to be a natural looking foundation. the coverage is medium and i don't find it cakey or thick. it does try fast however so definitely consider that when applying. i might repurchase because i have a decent shade match in this foundation.
Liquid -Becca - Radiant Skin Satin Finish Foundation

i went in to sephora really wanting to try the kat von d lock it foundation. however i couldn't get an exact match so i got this in amber. it matches my skin perfectly and gives pretty good coverage. when i first put this on with my stipling brush it looked smooth and flawless. the finish is satiny-true to its name. i usually only go for matte foundations so i was pleasantly surprised by the look of this, very natural. the only con is that it probably isn't the most long-lasting foundation on my oily skin. but i still am loving it very much esp being the only other foundation that has a shade to match me besides mac.
this blush is absolutely gorgeous!!!! when i put this on i get an instant face brightening effect. flamingo is a bright pink with a dash of coral. it suits my nc40 skin tone so well but i can imagine it working on almost all skin tones. it is pigmented so a light hand may be needed. i now have 3 sleek blushes and love them all but loving this one a teeny bit more each time i wear it.
this red leans orange on me which isn't a bad thing. gives a nice bright orangey red lip without being too loud or garrish. the formula, like all colour riche lipsticks is great, moisturizing with decent staying power. only reason i wouldn't buy this for myself personally, but maybe as a gift as I've tried it and know what to expect. for myself I'd like to explore other red lipsticks.
pomegranate is an exquisite shade - berry with a pinkish shimmer that is smooth and looks so natural on. it reminds me of a less shimmery/metallic and more pigmented and intense MAC petticoat. stunning!
Amour goes on as a warm peach on me-with almost a pinkened orange look. kind of hard to describe on me. the texture is very smooth and pigmented. gives a sexy flush. i like the nars packaging too, sleek, sturdy, mirror, rubbery outside doesn't bother me.deep throat is next on my Nars list!
i got this the marilyn monroe collection. i was skeptical when i first used it, thinking it was too subtle for my taste. this is the first nudey blush i've bought. with more use i fell in love with it. the colour is so soft and natural looking and gives an amazing glow, which is something considering it is a matte blush. it's different from my usual pink, peachy pink and peach tones but absolutely lovely nontheless. i'm an nc40 for reference, and i especially like pairing this blush with a deep berry or burgundy lip this fall. *edit* i'm loving this blush with light pink lipsticks this spring and summer too. a definite winner from MAC!
this was my first mac concealer and i will probably repurchase because nothing matches my skin tone like mac shades. for different skin issues i use different shades of this so ill probably have some shade of this in my arsenal always. it lasts all day on me. not ideal for touch ups because of the pump. I use this in the morning only-i pump out a bit in a small mac container and use that single pump for days. no wastage whatsover. for on the go touch ups i prefer the studio finish concealer pot.
My favourite baby pink blush! makes me glow sweetly even without a trace of shimmer. Gives the Kim K perfect soft pink cheek. I actually have 2 of these (received from a swap) and they're different. One is lighter, and the other is slightly brighter and more pigmented. I love them both, and kind of like that they're a little different ..like 2 versions of my favourite blush.
