Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

Love it! Like most mascaras, it takes a few applications before I am satisfied. I never take a brand new mascara out of its package and love it immediately, and this is what happened with this mascara. I find that it does take a while to apply and you must apply it lightly and build without waiting for it to dry and with a little patience, the results are amazing. I get compliments on my lashes all the time and I tell everybody it's because it takes me forever to apply mascara, I don't just slap it on and have fabulous lashes without any effort! (Also, I curl first, I already have curly eyelashes, but it gives them a little extra oomph) I also wanted to add: I previously would go through one bottle of Diorshow Blackout a month and this mascara, and when applied properly, the Falsies really give it a run for it's money!!!

Fragrances -Fragonard - Vanille

I ordered this while on my quest to find another vanilla fragrance to add to my collection. I wanted a vanilla that wasn't just vanilla, but had some extra flair. At first it slightly fruity, and then it turns into and old mens aftershave, which is disappointing but if you can just put that out of your mind, and wait around, it really turns out pretty decent soft and spicy vanilla. The notes are: vanilla, amber, bergamot, sandalwood, patchouly, and cinnamon.

Fragrances -L'Aromarine - Vanille

This is a delicious and sweet, just plain creamy vanilla. I don't think it's too foody either. It's very similiar to i profumi di firenze vaniglia del madagascar, which I also love, but maybe just a tad sweeter and lighter...and it cost way less.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Ulric de Varens - Lily Prune Sublime Vanilla
rated 2 of 5

I ordered this b/c I was on a vanilla rampage, and it sounded interesting, and it wasn't too pricey so I figured if I took the risk it wouldn't be that huge of a loss--$12 bucks. I wouldn't exactly call it sublime. I don't really even smell the vanilla, it just seems really powdery at first spray, but then it seems to turn into a perfumy vanilla. I don't know I guess it could be nice, its just not what I expected, if you like powdery fragrances with a hint of non-foody vanilla, you might like this. It also might be one of those fragrances that grow on you, and change as you wear it. I'll update if that happens. But so far it's just ok.

Fragrances -Antica Farmacista - Vaniglia, Bourbon & Mandarino di Sicilia Le Parfum
rated 5 of 5
nightqueen 4/26/2005 12:01:00 AM

I love it! It's very orangy at first but then it turns into creamy carmelly vanilla, with just slight hint to orange. Even though it's a very warm scent, the orange makes it sunny enough to wear in the spring and summer.

Fragrances -I Profumi di Firenze - Vaniglia del Madagascar
rated 5 of 5

I think this is my favorite vanilla so far, it's just a straight-up true vanilla. It's creamy but not in a sugary way, but in a rich way. I don't own it yet, but am plannig on getting it soon, too bad it's kind of pricey, but it's worth it because, the few times I sprayed it on at Barney's I can still smell it on myself and my clothes the next day, so the staying power and the addictiveness of it, is well worth it.

Fragrances -La Maison de la Vanille - Madagascar EDT

This is very woodsy and lavender at first, and even almost masculine, but then it becomes, on me a delicious vanilla that is not overyly sweet, with a hint of honey. I think the initial woodsy masculine topnotes keep it from being too sweet, but the dry down is just sweet enought to be feminine.

Fragrances -Dragonfly Blue - Enchantress
rated 2 of 5
nightqueen 3/30/2005 1:47:00 AM

This was a strange one, b/c like the description is not what it's like. It's insanly chocolaty at first and after a long long time it's start to smell flowery. I guess it could be nice on some poeple, but it's too weird with the chocolate/floral combo.

If you want a true vanilla almond this is it. It's like almond extract and vanilla. This is a yummy, foody scent.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Dream Esscents - Lea Type
rated 4 of 5
nightqueen 3/30/2005 1:35:00 AM

This one does smell pretty close to the original Lea Extreme. It has really overpoweringly strong chocolate scent in the bottle but when it dries down it is a very soft almondy musk. On me the vanilla isn't quite as strong, but it's still a pretty, soft scent, that you can only smell if someone gets really close.

Fragrances -Origins - Cocoa Therapy Instant Chocolate Fix
rated 3 of 5
nightqueen 3/23/2005 2:33:00 AM

I want to clarify that this product is not a fragrance. It is a pick-me-up roll-on, with essential oils designed for you to get a quick choclate fix, and lift your spirts. So for that reason it's only meant to last for a little while. While it lasts, there are chocolaty orange notes.

This stuffs alright, i like the original better it's warmer and more sexy. Style in play is a little bit more citrusy. It would be better for summer.

Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Hydro-Powder Eye Shadow H3 Tiger Eye
rated 4 of 5

This stuff is so cool!!! Literally it goes on cool and feels wet but then dries and stays on w/ out creasing. It gives your eyes that extra sparkle. Especially if you dab it in the inner corners. You can use it to highlight your cheekbones also. It comes in other colors too: a sky bluish color, a frosty silver one, a plum color, and golden yellow one.

Fragrances -Cacharel - Amor Amor
rated 3 of 5
nightqueen 2/14/2005 8:12:00 PM

I don't detect the vanilla in amor amor that it supposedly has, but I can smell the woodsiness, and on me it has a peppery powdery drydown which is great for day time, if I want a light perfume that is not too strong and offensive. At first spray it's pretty floral and fruity, which I'm not crazy about, but I wear it for the dry down. I probably wouldn't get it again b/c I get bored of perfumes really fast.

Fragrances -Chopard - Casmir by Chopard
rated 4 of 5

I found a bottle of Chopard Casmir at TJ Maxx and was so exited because the description online sounded beautiful. But to my dismay, when i tried it on at home something wasn't right. I could detect vanilla and spices but I'm afraid the bottle had gone rancid, I guess that's what I get for trying to find discount bottles of perfume. but i'm sure casmir is a beautiful and rich fragrance in it's normal circumstance.
