Eye Shadow -Revlon - Molten Metal Liquid Shadow in Bronze Bomber
nicole88s 9/4/2007 11:58:00 PM
I haven't been this excited about a product forever. I have been on the search for a bronze cream shadow and have been looking at all the usual suspects-Bobbi Brown, Stila, NARS and none of them seemed right. I wanted a straight up Bronze-not red, not orange, not gold, not copper. I got Shiseido Hydro-Powder in Tiger Eye today (supposed to be bronzey) and I wanted to cry. It was orangey and made my skin and eyes and hair look bad (you know how the wrong product can make you look BAD). I was so wanting to love this so I was really bummed. I randomly did a "product search" for bronze and eyeshadow on Makeupalley and the Revlon Molten eyeshadow came up. It had really great reviews. My dh was leaving for Walmart to pick up a few groceries and I put the eyeshadow on the list. I can't tell you the last time I bought a Revlon eyeshadow (probably never) or even one from the Drugstore (probably a LONG time ago). Well I am in love!! It is the exact color I wanted. It is similar to MAC Tempting in color, but a little less gold and it is wet looking (which is what I wanted-yay!!). It is a weird little clear test tube looking thing filled with liquid (it kinda seperates into clear water and color so you need to shake it well). It has a doe foot applicator and I take a little dab on my lid and then blend with my finger. Creaseless, I mean budgeproof-nothing is moving this shadow, all day!! So happy.

Lip Treatments -MAC - Tendertones [DISCONTINUED]
nicole88s 6/8/2007 12:14:00 AM
These Tendertones are amazing! A super smooth, super moisturizing balm with a slight tint. This stuff smells fantastic. It has a creamy, sweet watermelon scent that is not overpowering at all. It feels so good on the lips-not sticky at all, yet lasts a long time and leaves lips super soft. It is packaged in a glass jar with a black lid very similar to the fluidlines, except bigger. Retails for $14.50. It includes SPF 12. I got Warm Smile, which is a pinky brown nude. I have very pigmented red lips and this makes them slightly darker (like one shade) and very shiny. I had high hopes that Warm Smile would lighten my lips a shade or 2. If that had happened I would have bought 20!! I am still please with the product. It is a great, almost clear, balm with SPF. Fantastic product! I highly recommend it.

Treatments (Eye) -Chanel - Precision Ultra Correction Eye Anti-wrinkle restructuring eye cream
nicole88s 6/13/2006 7:13:00 PM
I used a sample of this for a week or so. It is a fairy thick cream, but it absorbed quickly and seemed to make my fine lines a little less noticable. Then I noticed everyday after I put on undereye concealer it would ball up and peel off! That has NEVER happened to me, so I suspected the cream. I stopped using it and my concealer applied smoothly as usual. I would never buy this.

Bronzers -Wet 'n' Wild - Bronzer
nicole88s 6/13/2006 7:04:00 PM
This is a really nice CHEAP bronzer. I got the medium/dark and it is a really pretty color. I detect some shimmer in the pan when I look at it, but on my face it is not noticable at all. Really believable tan color, not orange or muddy on me at all. I like it use it on my neck because my face and chest and more tan.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Blush- Naive [DISCONTINUED]
nicole88s 6/13/2006 6:58:00 PM
After reading all the reviews on this I had to try it. I am not dissapointed, especially since it is so dirt cheap!!! It's a fairly bright peachy pink on my medium skintone. I almost wish it was a little more straight up peach, but I can't complain. It really is a nice blush. Of course it has the super crappy Wet'N'Wild packaging, but what do you expect for $2. I have to thank MUA for this one because I never would have noticed it without all the raves!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Expensive Pink (Veluxe Pearl)
nicole88s 6/13/2006 6:51:00 PM
This is the most gorgeous color! Peachy-pink-gold. Such a pretty summer color and looks great with a tan. This looks like Jane Radiation in Sparked which I loved, but is of course discontinued. This really brings out my light green eyes. The quality is wonderful. Very soft, super pigmented, easily blendable, slightly shimmery. It's like a sunset on my eyes :)

Lip Gloss -MAC - Mad Cap
nicole88s 6/13/2006 6:44:00 PM
This looked HORRIBLE on my highly pigmented lips. Not a nude look on me at all, more like a poo brown mess. I adore C-thru, but was on the hunt for a more caramely-goldish-brown lip. This was not it at all. It is a very flat, opague medium brown. Lipglass formula is great, as it always is.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Tempting (LUSTRE)
nicole88s 6/1/2006 1:20:00 AM
This is one of my HG eyeshadows. It is straight up golden bronze and so gorgeous on my green eyes. I actually found this after asking for a bronze with NO red or orange tones on the makeup board. The quality is excellent. Silky soft and super pigmented. I get tons of compliments when I wear this. The last time I went to the dentist the hygenist went on and on about what a gorgeous shade it was. If you are looking for a true shimmery bronze this is the product for you.

Fragrances -The Body Shop - Coconut Perfume Oil
nicole88s 6/1/2006 1:09:00 AM
Yum, I love this stuff. Most perfume gives me a headache, but this stuff smells so good. Just a subtle delicious-ness! When I first got this I put it on and asked dh to smell it and guess what it was. He guessed vanilla, chocolate and caramel before coconut. It just smells slighty sweet and yummy. It actually reminds me of Pink Sugar without the gross powdery/musky note. I actually like this the best the next day when it has almost worn off and I sniff my wrists and they smell great but not perfumey at all-almost like it is just my skin. This comes in a little glass bottle and you unscrew the cap with a long plactic attachment and wipe it on. Very convenient way to apply. Super cheap too-like $12.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Coconut Body Butter
nicole88s 6/1/2006 1:00:00 AM
Holy cow, this stuff is AWESOME!! This is the most moistuizing lotion/cream I have ever used. My skin feels like silk after I use this. It comes in a good size tub and is a thick, yellowish cream. Someone else said this has a "yoghurty coconut smell" and I agree with that. Not the BEST coconut smell, but definitely not synthetic. I use this at night on my feet and it keeps them soft and callus free. When I use this on my arms and legs after a shower they keep a pretty sheen all day. LOVE this stuff and will continue to repurchase. It is a little expensive, but you don't need to use that much to get amazing moisture.
