Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Sultana of Soap
rated 4 of 5

One of the SAs gave me a sample of this with my last purchase. I didn't like the scent much when I initially smelled the bar (a little strong), but the smell it leaves on you after you use it is lovely. It really does smell like berries and cream. I could definitely see myself buying this soap again. It's nice and creamy and my skin felt smooth after using it.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Porridge Soap
rated 5 of 5

I absolutely love the smell of Porridge. It's creamy, exfoliating, and lathers nicely. I couldn't resist buying it even though I know LUSH soaps tend to melt quickly, but I actually haven't noticed that with this one. I'm guessing that's because I don't wet it before using it, which means only the part that comes into contact with my skin gets wet, and I keep it out of the stream of water. Despite all the bits of oats, this didn't make a mess of my shower at all and didn't clog the drain. I love Porridge and I will definitely be buying it again.

Skincare - Body -LUSH - Nutts Massage Bar
rated 4 of 5
neverfadetogray 8/21/2008 12:48:00 PM

I really like this massage bar. The scent is true to the name, as it does have a sweet, "nutty" scent (with a hint of chocolate). It melts very quickly on contact with skin and can be a little messy because of that. It's moisturizing, but it doesn't absorb quickly enough for me to use it in place of a lotion, so I just use it in smaller areas as opposed to my entire arm or leg, for example. I rubbed it into a sore area on my arm and it was like instant relief, which is a major plus!

Moisturizers -LUSH - Imperialis
rated 5 of 5
neverfadetogray 8/18/2008 1:26:00 AM

I've always been a little wary of moisturizers because they tend to leave my face too greasy afterwards. Imperialis definitely doesn't. I cleanse my face with Fresh Farmacy, follow that up with Tea Tree Water toner, and then moisturize with Imperialis. I love it - it has helped improve my skin and leaves it soft, not oily.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Haagenbath
rated 4 of 5
neverfadetogray 8/18/2008 1:14:00 AM

Haagenbath is easily the most moisturizing bath bomb I've tried so far. The scent was pleasant but not overpowering - minty with a hint of chocolate. I crumbled in some of Ma Bar for more bubbles and I'm guessing that also added to the chocolate side of the scent. This will actually make your skin noticeably softer and gives you a relaxing and lightly scented bath.

Cleansers -LUSH - coal face soap
rated 1 of 5
neverfadetogray 7/23/2008 10:20:00 PM

I really wanted to like Coalface. The SA at the LUSH store suggested it for days when I need something stronger than Fresh Farmacy, which is what I normally use. I don't consider my skin sensitive, and she thought it'd be fine. I had been using Fresh Farmacy morning and night followed by Tea Tree Water and Imperialis. I started using Fresh Farmacy in the morning and Coalface at night, and my skin wasn't looking quite as good, so I switched back to Fresh Farmacy morning and night. The next time I tried to reintroduce Coalface, I broke out badly and ended up with big, deep zits - not like anything I've had before - and some blackheads and zits on my cheeks, which is somewhere I have (fortunately!) rarely had any acne. This is taking me weeks to recover from. I know that sometimes using a new cleanser can bring dirt to the surface, but I can't give it any more chances. These effects are not coincidental. I'm sticking to Fresh Farmacy.

Cleansers -LUSH - Fresh Farmacy
rated 4 of 5

I love Fresh Farmacy. I have acne-prone skin and a slightly oily t-zone and this has worked wonderfully for me. It has cleared up and evened out my skin, and it actually makes my face feel smooth and soft - which makes it the first product I've ever used that I can say that about. After washing my face with this, I use Tea Tree Water toner and Imperialis moisturizer, and I'm so happy with it. I used Proactiv for a good two years and it never made as much of a difference in my skin as my new skincare routine has. It's also very effective overnight as a spot treatment.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Ma Bar Bubble Bar
rated 4 of 5
neverfadetogray 5/25/2008 11:20:00 AM

Another sweet scent - it smells like musky vanilla, candy, and a hint of chocolate. I used half of it and it mostly filled my tub with bubbles - not the crazy ones I get with The Comforter, but still nice. :) I'd buy it again.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Honey Bee Bath Bomb
rated 4 of 5
neverfadetogray 5/25/2008 11:08:00 AM

I didn't check any reviews before buying this - I just liked how it smelled at the store and bought it. I might be the only one, but the yellow-colored water just didn't bother me at all. I mean, I knew it came from the (yellow-colored) bath bomb, so why should it gross me out? Anyway, I like sweet scents in general and this one was very nice...like honey, of course, and maybe caramel or toffee as well. I used this with Ma Bar bubble bar and it made for a relaxing bath that smelled nice and sweet but was not overpowering. Oh, and this didn't stain my tub, but none of the Lush products I've used so far have, which is always nice. :)

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Big Blue Bath Bomb
rated 3 of 5
neverfadetogray 5/22/2008

I got this for free because my last purchase from Lush was over $50, I believe. I like sweet scents best as well as some citrus scents, and I figured I may as well try it. It did turn the water a pretty blue and my bath was very relaxing. The scent is true to the description - lemon and lavender - but I thought it smelled nice and fresh. On the other hand, I wasn't crazy about the seaweed and a good amount of it went down the drain (whether or not it'll clog remains to be seen). Wasn't expecting that. And honestly, I didn't notice any effect on my skin at all. I don't think I'd actually purchase this myself, but it was nice to give it a shot, especially with all the hype I'd heard about it.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Rock Star

I'm a sucker for sweet, fruity scents like this so I know I'll be buying another one, but I took off one lippie because it melts down a bit too quickly for the price.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Think Pink Bath Bomb
rated 4 of 5
neverfadetogray 5/20/2008 5:40:00 PM

Pretty pink water and a nice scent - sweet but slightly floral. I can't really comment on how moisturizing it was because I also tossed in half of a Melting Marshmallow Moment bath melt. My skin does feel moisturized, but I'm not sure which product is more responsible or if it's a combination of both. Also, this didn't leave any mess behind. No pink rings around the tub here. =] I didn't know about the confetti beforehand so it was a nice surprise. I'm not sure if I'll be repurchasing this...I'm pretty new to Lush and I want to love the bath bombs, but I'm liking the bubble bars more so far.

Concealers -MAC - select cover-up
rated 5 of 5
neverfadetogray 5/20/2008 2:13:00 AM

This and Benefit's Boi-ing are my favorite concealers. Select cover-up never fails to look natural and it matches my skin perfectly. Admittedly, I do often use the tip of my finger to pat this on when I'm in a hurry, but I recommend using a brush for covering any blemishes that are protruding from the skin at all. A lovely concealer that I will keep coming back to.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Boi-ing

This is basically my super-strength concealer, and I'm very happy with it. I actually did not buy it with the intention of using it to cover dark circles - I tested it out on the lower side of my cheek for covering some slight redness/blotchiness and it worked perfectly. As this is the first concealer I've come across that fully covers this redness, I'm impressed! It has good staying power when I wear primer underneath it and set it with powder, and I've never had any problems with blending it. This gives me great coverage and may be the only concealer I've tried that makes me look like I'm not wearing any face makeup, and that's always awesome. I will definitely be buying this one again!

Bath Treatments -LUSH - The Happy Pill bath bomb
rated 2 of 5
neverfadetogray 5/18/2008 5:46:00 AM

I wasn't crazy about this. I liked its scent out of the tub, but it wasn't as strong as I would have liked once it was in the water and it did take quite a while to dissolve. It's a cute idea, but this one wasn't for me.
