Do Son = Michael Kors minus the incense note. Or a fresher version of MK. If you like Michael, Do Son could be a nice choice for a summer fragrance.
Gothic, mysterious and the most bizarre iris around. I love iris scents - Infusion d'Iris, Iris Nobile and Bois d'Iris are some of my favorite fragrances, and I had great hopes for SMN Iris. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I got a pesky carrot note (thanks to the iris root) mixed with a dusty-woodsy undertone. The result was something like "carrot juice sniffed inside an old church". SMN Iris is the Nancy Spungen of the iris scents, and it has a "bad girl vibe". If you have the right chemistry, it can be a really nice and peculiar fragrance. Try before you buy!
Fragrances -Santa Maria Novella - Angels of Florence

Angels of Florence reminds me a little bit of Dior J'Adore. Try to imagine J'Adore without the horrible ozonic note and with a slightly stronger peach note. I don't like J'Adore, and it doesn't work on my skin, but Angels of Florence is lovely. It smells divine, and I receive lots of compliments. Thanks Santa Maria Novella :0)
Hay??!! No way :0) SMN "Hay" is a green soapy scent, and it smells nothing like hay. The opening notes are definitely "green", and then the musky-soapy drydown. It doesn't smell like any other fragrance I've tried before - it smells like green/herbal (myrtle??) soap. It's a pretty unisex scent, but not one of my favorites from SMN.
In one word: Womanly!! A very comforting and powdery fragrance with some incense, musk and wood notes. I am not a huge fan of incense, but here it's perfectly blended with the floral notes and suggests comfort. The result is a "soapy incense", if it makes sense :0) Perfect to be worn in cold weather, SMN Melograno has great staying power and sillage, considering it's an "eau de cologne".
Honeysuckle??!! Really??!! Well, on my skin, it smells nothing like honeysuckle. It's a pretty neroli scent, that after some minutes turns into a Coppertone paradise. SMN Honeysuckle is beautiful, very feminine and uncomplicated - I can visulalize a pretty girl with a warm and cheerful personality (and great sense of humour) wearing this fragrance. I don't like neroli scents in general, but the "Coppertone" drydown deserves 4 lippies. Lovely!
Infusion d'Homme is Infusion d'Iris' gorgeous boyfriend. They share the same crisp and clean aspect (both were created by the same "nez", Daniela Andrier), and, IMO, they smell similar, but, while Infusion d'Iris is an ethereal fairy, Infusion d'Homme is more earthy and warm (thanks to the very light incense notes). Very soapy, soft and fresh, but fresh in a warm way, if it makes sense :0) Infusion d'Homme lacks the staying power of some masculine EDTs - only 3 hours on my skin - a little less than its feminine EDP counterpart (4 hours on my skin). It can be worn by a woman easily - she will smell divine, believe me :0)
Great scent, unbeatable price!! On my skin it smells exactly like Ivory soap, and I love it! I'm am a huge fan of clean/soapy scents, and this is one of my favorites inexpensive fragrances. The staying power is average (3 hours). Perfect for office wear!
It's "Ralph Hot" (with less staying power) in a prettier bottle.
Very pretty and romantic pink roses and peony fragrance. Light, fresh and very true to the name - it really smells "pink". I love it, but it stays only 2 hours on my skin. I like my scents to have some staying power and sillage, but "Trully Pink" is so beautiful, that I don't mind to re-apply.
I'm still laughing with the review below - Yes, it's true - Talisman "wears" you. It's very 90's (I used to wear it occasionally in the 90's :0)) - strong and sweet. Lychee, rum, rose, jasmine, amber. It's a fruity chypre, and far from being soft and fresh. I cannot see someone wearing it as an everyday scent (or a signature fragrance) - Talisman is beautiful, but strong, and you can get tired of it easily. It's sexy, has a great sillage and lasts forever, so, girl, you'll be noticed with this one! I read somewhere that it's being discontinued :0(
On my skin, it doesn't smell like Fracas at all. Fracas is a stronger tuberose with that sweet jonquil smell. It doesn't smell like Marc Jacobs either - MJ is an acquatic/ozonic gardenia, while Michael Kors is a warm and comforting spicy Tuberose. If I had to compare Michael to another perfume, it would be... Amarige!!! They share the same creamy tuberose notes, but Michael has some incense (a very light incense) to "spice it up", and freesia to soften it, while Amarige is all about tuberose, jasmine, orange, peach and vanilla. ****Not that they smell alike**** (they don't), but they have that warm fruity (tamarind for Michael, orange and peach for Amarige) "tuberose diva" vibe - like distant cousins (Amarige would be the older, smarter and more serious cousin. Michael would be the younger, sexier and funnier one). Michael is not cloying or overly strong, IMO. It's a very ambivalent fragrance - powerful and warm yet fresh, sweet and spicy, diva without drama. It's the kind of fragrance people remember you by, and I get lots of compliments on it. The only minus - the staying power on my skin (but I'm minority here, since everybody says that it has a nice staying power).
It's Angel with heliotrope. Staying power is excellent and the price is reasonable, but, on my skin, Diamant is only Angel + heliotrope... and I don't like Angel. No sale here!!
My second favorite from the Fragonard line (My huge fave is "Freesia" and I also love "Cerisier en Fleurs"). A musky gardenia (more musk than gardenia) with a hint of orange-blossom . It's delicate, very soft, romantic and elegant- the olfactive equivalent of a Sothern Belle dressed for a springtime picnic with a string of pearls around her neck. You can wear "De Tout Coeur" all year around - It's light enough to wear in summer months, but still comfy enough to wear in the fall season. Staying power could be better - 4 lippies.
I love Fragonard, but some of their fragrances smell (IMO) like "inspired by" others. Ile d'Amour - Eau d'Issey, Miranda - Casmir, Capucine - Flower, by Kenzo, Diamant - Angel, Mon Coeur - Fracas, Après Tout - Stella, Juste un Baiser - Trish#9, Murmure - Cinnabar, Etoile du Sud - Eternity, Rêve Indien - Shalimar, Arielle - Amarige, Lune de Miel - Trèsor, Belle de Nuit - J'Adore, Maman Chèrie - Miracle. So, if you like Miracle, you''ll like this one too.
