Mascara -Bourjois - 1001 Lashes

I'm still searching for my ultimate mascara and have become very disillusioned with the number of disappointments I have wasted money on . I really didn't expect this to be as good as it is. It's a real find! Lovely long lashes in two coats without clumps and less than £10! I understand Chanel are the parent company of Bourjois and would consider this comparable to Chanel's "Imitable". Would definitely recommend.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

There's a credit crunch and I thought I'd try some "cheaper" mascaras- but after various allergic reactions, products drying out within a month and just not doing what they claim I'm back to my old faithful. Makes my lashes look long and lovely without clumping. Also works out to be more economical since it actually lasts me three months (like to replace every three) and could probably use it for longer if I wasn't so OCD! expensive outlay but worth it.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra volume - collagene
rated 3 of 5

Bought this on offer few weeks ago. Initially thought I'd made a duff purchase because I read the reviews AFTER buying.Initially I was pleasantly surprised; gave my lashes good volume and didn't clump. Now I've been using it for about a month and it seems to have dried out already-it has that thick lumpy consistency of a mascara over 3 months old (like to renew my mascara every 3 months). If it hadn't have dried out I would have rated it more highly. I would buy again if they halved its price-just not economical to renew every month at £10 a tube.

Hair -Philip Kingsley - Elasticizer

Agree with Missy's earlier review: I'm baffled as to why this receives so many plaudits. It does absolutely nothing for my not-so-badly-damaged hair. I initially thought it was due to my application method, but after varying amount, dampness of my hair and time left on it still does nothing!shame, as I really wanted it to work, especially after falling for the hype and purchasing a salonsize bottle...

Masks -Liz Earle - Liz Earle - Deep Cleansing Mask
rated 2 of 5

I was keen to try this in view of Liz Earle's reputation and it's natural ingredients. On opening I was struck by it's unpleasant odour; it's difficult to describe..possibly like manure? It's not a bad mask;it didn't worsen my skin, but it didn't miraculously improve it either. My face felt clean after using it.I've also tried using it as a spot treatment but wasn't impressed. Aesop's anti-blemish masque is better.

Mascara -Max Factor - False lash effect
rated 4 of 5

I have tried so many mascaras and while this isn't perfect(still can't find one that lives up to its hype). This is the first mascara in a long time that I've repurchased. It definitely makes my lashes appear longer without clumping or flaking and the brush makes it easy to apply. Perhaps more importantly, my sensitive eyes can tolerate this formula-I'm horribly allergic to the Masterpiece mascara from the same brand.

Good fragrance-the other reviewers are right: it smells like Miss Dior Cherie. Works fantastically with exfoliating gloves and good value for money.
