Sometimes I find my skin really, really dry. Just a curse, as my mom and sister have oilier skin that keeps it from looking older. I have to moisturize like crazy. I actually use both gel and creme. Overkill? Probably, but I don't have breakouts from over moisturizing, that's for sure. It's an expensive routine: Cle de peau creme cleanser La Mer Mist Radiant Infusion or Serum La Mer Gel La Mer Creme Morning and night...gotta keep the skin smooth so when I do my chemical peel at 50 I don't have too much of an uphill battle! ;P
O.M.G. This made me look awesome!!
Treatments -Neutrogena - Advanced Solutions Facial Peel [DISCONTINUED]

My doctor actually recommended this to me. She said it's the strongest thing that you can buy OTC that works as well as peels done inside the dermatologist's office. So, she prescribed Retin-A and this, and acne scars have vanished over a 4 month period. Clear, pretty skin. It doesn't have the greatest scent, but with use every other night, you will see results after a month.
This brush started out really good, (as all their brushes do), and then it got very abrasive on my skin. Try Chanel's Kabuki brush- what a difference!
OMG- my zits are GONE. I never thought this was a possibility. Now I'm scared to use anything else....
All I have to say is WOW. I'm very careful about what products I use- I have super sensitive skin that is acne prone, even at age 28. (Sucks to look 18 and have the 18 year old's skin!) So I gave in and purchased this at Sephora, at least if it didn't work, I could return it. Although people say that it reduces pimples, etc, I dont find that it magically makes your pimples disappear, but it does make the lifespan seem a lot shorter. I use this in conjunction with Proactive, and the truth is, they work really well together. When I wake up, I find my skin glows a lot, and has gotten really clear. I use this about 15 minutes after I've done my nightly routine. It seems to work and I'm really impressed I've tried everything from La Mer to Epicuren. My boyfriend now says, you put make up on again? I can assure you that he will be driving me back to Sephora when I need to repurchase this wonderful product!
Powder -Bare Escentuals - BareMinerals foundation #2.3 Medium Beige

After trying this, I'm wondering why I ever bought liquid foundation??? I decided to try this only because I live in California, and it's +100 degrees everyday and by mid-morning, the makeup is already looking like it will come off with the sweat. I use the face prep that came with the kit, which helps smooths out the skin and use the BM 2.3. I find that it covers very well, without the heavy feeling of make up. My boyfriend didn't even notice that I had make up on (he usually can tell :( ), but instead noticed that I had more color. :) I got his approval and he's my toughest critic! A little goes a long way, as long as you buff it on and watch as it slowly gives you more coverage. Too much will make you look pasty, so be careful!
There's just something about the mineral veil that I like- maybe because it's soft and goes on so well- and you really can't make a mistake with it. It gives your skin a nice glow after applying. Would definitely buy it again!
Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color

I really like this warmth color! I don't use it as a blush alone- but use it under my blush to give me more of a tan look. The BE line is really fun to use- I think part of the reason is, it doesn't feel like you're putting on make up, yet the coverage is nice and even. Kind of like magic.
I finally got so tired of my pimples (cystic- under the skin ones, whiteheads) that I broke down to buy one of these zeno's. I got it on ebay for $175 (machine that came with a tip + an extra tip). So, I used it for a week- zapping away happily. The results are amazing. Never has my skin reacted to anything like this before! My bf compliments on how I have "this glow". I think it's happiness talking. It works when I start to feel a under the skin bump forming- and true to its word, it does vanish in a day or so. I used to try to pop them and the scarring would last about a week. I never had many whiteheads, but did find one to zap. It didn't work as well though. I do love this machine and would highly recommend it. I wouldn't focus so much time on how long it takes to warm up and restart, etc. Just think about all the time you're saving by not having to go out and buy special acne meds for yourself!
Skincare - Body -Bliss Labs - BlissLabs Mammoth Minty Scrub Soap
natedac 11/24/2005 12:17:00 AM
This was a very refreshing experience! It's like taking a shower with toothpaste, except this is a really big bar. Don't scrub too hard if you have sensitive skin- I saw scratch marks because the "blue scrubbies" are a bit harsh. But I'll learn... good soap- a good buy, if you can get it with some kind of friends and family discount.
Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - Blackhead/Blemish Extractor
natedac 11/24/2005 12:13:00 AM
Ok- I am officially bored now...I have NO MORE BLACKHEADS to pick out!! I bought this 3 days ago, and have been diligently working on my face- I had a bunch of red marks from pressing too hard (I put Neosporin to calm it down), then learned quickly that you don't have to do that to get the same effect. This tool is a keeper! No scarring, no more infections (keep some rubbing alcohol nearby to clean off the tool), no more blackheads!
This makes you smell so pretty. It definitely is better than the Origins line- but a bit pricier. I got the plastic bottle at Saks. Although it claims to foam in the tub, it really doesn't. Lasting power isn't great. I took the advice of patting it on myself, as I towel dried. So far, I still smell like oranges!
This is a very good foundation, if you're looking for overall coverage to even out the tones in your face. The La Mer SA taught me to use a Chanel brush ($45) to paint it on my face- I was a little wierded out until I discovered that 1) you use a lot less, and 2) it's cleaner when you use a brush, vs. a sponge. I used to use Shiseido, but found it too cakey. The La Mer, however, is a keeper.
This is a good quality wash for your face. It has a unique smell that one can become quite addicted to. I am hooked on this line. It has made my skin very smooth and even. I highly recommend it!
