Toners -Simple - Soothing Skin Toner

This was the first toner I've tried but I'm quite impressed with this. It really seems to calm my skin (which is quite prone to redness), and as it's simple I don't think anyone would react badly to it. It's also completely unscented and very cheap. The only issue I would say is that it would probably dry out my already quite dry skin over time if this was the only product I used, so it is necessary to also use a moisturiser.

Mascara -Soap and Glory - Thick & Fast Mascara

Just like pretty much every one else who reviewed this, it seems, I got this free in a magasine, but I will happily buy it again when it runs out! It's great, it really makes your lashes look long and thick, and doesn't go clumpy like a lot of mascaras to do. Just looked on the internet and it is fairly expensive (£10 at Boots) but I think it's worth it. By far the best mascara I've had recently, if ever!

Shampoo -LUSH - Jumping Juniper solid

I love this :) other people have said it doesn't really stop your hair getting oily, but it does for me. My hair isn't VERY greasy but I did have to wash it every day before I started using this, and now I can happily only wash it every other day :) It smells lovely, but sadly the smell doesn't really last once your hair dries. It lathers and cleans well and my hair actually seems to be in better condition since I've started using this, as there are no harsh chemicals. One bar also lasts absolutely ages, and it's much more environmentally friendly than most shampoos, which is never a bad thing. I would recommend it, but it seems like it only works if you have a particular hair type. my sister has seriously thick, dry hair and she hates using this because she ends up looking like she's got an afro!

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails - Clear

I used to bite my nails and for the past couple of years I've been painting them nearly every day, so as a result my nails got into very bad condition. They were brittle, thin and peeling, but after a few weeks of putting this stuff on them, they were practically back to normal! It's not like it works over night, you do have to be patient but that's to be expected to be honest. The bottle is also going to last me ages as well, cause it comes in a pot quite a lot bigger than normal nail polish. Now my nails are in decent condition again, I use it as a base coat for normal nail polish. Love it!

Mascara -The Body Shop - Super Volume Mascara

I got this free in a magazine, but I'll happily pay to get it again when I run out. It's not clumpy or over the top at all, so it's great to wear during the day. Even though it's called super volume it's actually not as effective as some other mascaras so if I'm going out at night I wouldn't wear this. It's not waterproof, so it's easy to get off at the end of the day, but it stays on well when you want it to and doesn't run very much at all, which is always good in a mascara.

Moisturizers -Simple - Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Day Cream

Despite the fact that it looks like cottage cheese in the pot, I love this. It's not greasy or oily at all and makes a good base for make up. I've been using it every day for a couple of weeks and my skin is noticeably softer and smoother. It also has sunscreens, so it's good for your skin and protects against wrinkles. It does everything you could expect in a day cream, and it's quite cheap, because a pot (I paid £4) is going to last me a long time. My only complaint is that it feels like its sitting on your face all day rather than sinking in if you use too much of it.

Conditioner -The Body Shop - Rainforest Moisture Conditioner

Had high hopes considering it's quite expensive and it's from the body shop - their stuff is usually good. But after I put it on it made my hair brittle and felt like straw. I kept on using it and it got better, but it's still not great. It doesn't have any harsh chemicals in it, so it's probably quite good for your hair, but it just doesn't seem to do the job of conditioner very well and make my hair softer. Will not be buying again.

Lip Treatments -Chapstick - lipbalm

My lips get VERY dry and chapped, so i couldn't get by with just this, but it works pretty well and its good for carrying around in the day. Unlike a lot of lip balms it actually helps soothe my lips rather than just smelling nice and making your lips look pink.

Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula

love this so much. It's such a good moisturiser and it smells great. It really feels like its doing your skin good when you put it on, not sure why lol. I use it on my face as weIl. My skin is dry and generally quite marked and blotchy. Over time it's calmed my skin down and made it look clearer and healthier. I will be buying again and again.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm

Love this! It's in a small and convenient tube, great to carry around. It's got a minty, menthol type flavour which I really like, and a little goes a long way. It moisturises pretty well, and once you put it on I've found that it lasts longer than most other lip balms. I also have some medicated lip balm (my lips get VERY dry and cracked) and to be honest I couldn't get by using just this, but it's great for during the day. I will definitely get it again when I run out.

I actually wasn't that impressed. My hair is very dark and I want to dye it bright red, (which is a bit of a loosing battle already I know) but I have to say, my hair didn't end up nearly as bright as it promised. However, the instructions and accompanying conditioner were great, and it lasted a good two months. I think this is a great hair dye, unless your hair is pretty much black to begin with, in which case there are dyes specifically for dark hair that work better.

Mascara -Rimmel - 123 Looks

I wasn't very impressed, there isn't a huge difference between look 1 and look 3 as far as I can tell and the actual mascara isn't very good, it's too runny and clumpy. The bottle is easily broken, leaving you stuck past look 3, and the brush is small and difficult to use. Overall the whole product is a bit of a gimmick. I would not buy again.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals in 1.2, fairly light

I absolutely love this foundation. It's not for everyone, I guess it depends on your skin type, but it really works for me. Its very easy to apply, you get a brush with the foundation (or I did anyway) and it provides pretty good coverage. I have freckles so it's good because it covers blemishes without covering them up. It is expensive for what you get and it's not as long lasting as some other foundations, but it's worth it. I would advise you to get a free sample first though.
