Polishes -OPI - I'm Indi-A-Mood For Love
nadienadie 4/30/2012 2:35:00 PM
A lovely saturated pink colour. More of a berry pink. I'm loving this colour. Wouldn't have minded a bit more opacity but I'm willing to forgive that because this colour is great. On tanned skin it will look really good. Takes three coats for me, has a nice shine, easy workable formula. Give this a try, I fell for this polish on sight!

Polishes -China Glaze - hey sailor
nadienadie 4/27/2012 1:15:00 PM
Hey Sailor is a bright, in your face red. The colour that is sexy, feminine and will always get a man's attention! Jelly to kinda opaque, ok formula. Three coats needed. Reasonable dry time. The trick is to let each coat dry before applying another. I like to wear this when I am feeling good and confident about myself. I also like to wear this when my nails are in good condition to give this wonderful polish justice. If you want a medium sexy red, then Hey Sailor ticks all the right boxes!

Polishes -China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy
nadienadie 4/27/2012 1:08:00 PM
If you are looking for a milky, coral-y, neon shade then Flip Flop Fantasy (FFF) makes an impact! Not for the shy and reserved, FFF embodies all the quality of a neon. Average to sheer formula, satin finish, ok dry time. I am of the opinion and experience that you can't expect the world from a neon. To get that in-your-face colour, a polish like FFF makes the sacrifice somewhere, and that is formula and opacity. Coats galore on this one unless you are willing to wear a neutral (or white) polish underneath to give this polish a bit of depth. Otherwise, visible nail line is going to be waiting for you! But for a neon pedicure colour, this colour will put a smile one anyone's face.

Polishes -OPI - Charged Up Cherry
nadienadie 4/27/2012 1:00:00 PM
What can I say! I bought this shade because I was looking for a coral-ly, pink-y shade and when I saw this I really liked it for its cherry coral attitude. However, its the formula that always makes me rethink my decision when wanting to apply this. Three coats are definately needed on this one. With a sloppy hand the dry time could be longer than desired. The formula is not to the standard that I expect with OPI. Therefore I kinda expect a bit of chipping, possibly, and I always have to use a fast drying topcoat. Otherwise, expect to be sitting there for ages waiting for it to dry. This polish is hard work! Which is a shame because it is the perfect summer, on holiday, manicure and pedicure colour. On this occasion, I won't be repurchasing.

Polishes -Essie - 651 bermuda shorts
nadienadie 4/27/2012 12:53:00 PM
This polish is a medium pink shade. Can be a little sheer, definate three coater for me. As I don't go for sheer shades in my opinion it needs those three coats. Its a good idea to let coats dry a bit before applying a next coat, otherwise you are a bit susceptible to cuticle drag.Quick dry time. Can dry a bit darker on the nail, even though I think that if this shade could think, it would have almost neon aspirations. This deep pink shade just stops itself from becoming a neon. But..despite all that, I love this shade, I think it is fantastic! This is the colour that started a love of nail polish for me. Have already repurchased!

Polishes -China Glaze - Make an Entrance
nadienadie 4/27/2012 12:46:00 PM
This is a deep pink shade. Formula is decent, three shades to opacity. Ok dry time if even coats are applied. Something about this shade just screams sexiness and femininity to me. The kind of shade that a hot chick would wear. On even, well groomed nails the beauty of this colour is amped up to the max. Before I've even got to the end of the bottle, I know that I will repurchase. Unless you've got blotchy hands, I personally think this shade will look good on everyone. Well done, China Glaze, well done!

Polishes -Color Club - Pucci-licious
nadienadie 4/27/2012 12:42:00 PM
Now this color is kinda hard to describe, its a milky medium purple colour with periwinkle added to the mix. Best to look internet swatches to get a better and truer description, that's what I did! After checking this colour out, that's when I made the decision to buy! This is an eyecatching shade, because it is unusual and different and fun. I like to wear this on casual weekends, like at a summer bbq, on a bright day, something like that. Good formula, three coats to opacity. Average dry time. I like the brush of Color Club. Not a wide brush but its good anyway. I'd own this for the shade alone, along with good formula. Would look beautiful on the toes.

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Models Own Purple Grey
nadienadie 4/27/2012 12:34:00 PM
Purple Grey is just as the name describes- a purple grey colour. Opaque in two, possibly one coat. Which is what I really like about this polish. A fantastic colour to wear to work, to an interview. Its safe but not boring. Its chic and not trying to try too hard. A good colour when you don't want 'look at me!' all on your nails. Dries to a glossy finish. Reasonable dry time. I don't experience any significant chipping with this one. A good work colour. With this you can't go wrong. However, this polish is not 3-free which is disappointing. Other than that, a nice colour, very nice on short nails. I wear this when I want to look professional and I want a two or one coater polish.

Polishes -China Glaze - Raspberry festival
nadienadie 4/27/2012 12:25:00 PM
A medium red with a hint of deep pink polish with light red/silver glass flecks. Formula is ok, a bit sheer. A layering polish. Layer this one under a red colour and it will look nice. I like this but somehow I don't love it. In the store I really liked this but on the nail, at home my heart didn't jump as I expected. Compared to another sparkly red like the famous Ruby Pumps from China Glaze, I would choose Ruby Pumps. In the bright sun of summer and spring, this will look good. Its just not as good as I initially expected.

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Models Own- Top Turquoise nail polish
nadienadie 4/27/2012 12:17:00 PM
As the name implies, this is a opaque turquoise colour with a hint of green. The colour is lovely. In the spring and summer, this shade will hit the right notes! The formula on this is really good. Two coats required. Heck, I can even get away with one coat sometimes. That is one of this polish's biggest plus, the opacity of the formula is something I wish most of my polishes had. Dry time is ok. However, this is not 3-free which is a major letdown. Come on, in this day and age, I know Model's Own can do better than this. Personally, I'm not really feeling the packaging of Model's Own nail polishes. I feel that the cap is not the easiest to hold. The casual packaging puts me off a bit. It seems that Model's Own has only 'drugstore' aspirations packaging wise, but hey, since it is a drugstore polish, what do I expect! If you can put the 3-free issue aside, its a nice turquoise colour to have.

Polishes -China Glaze - Bahamian Escape
nadienadie 4/27/2012 12:08:00 PM
A light/ medium blue with milk kind of shade. The kind of shade which crops up in the summer. As the name suggests this polish implies ideas of laying on the beach looking at the sky, enjoying the sunshine. A great colour to wear on holiday, when you don't have to worry how bright your nail polish is! On a bright sunny day, this shade will look beautiful on just about anyone. Three coats required to opacity. Dries to a satin finish. Somehow I don't find myself reaching for this in the winter. I suppose its kinda hard to get away with at work. When applied well, this polish will look good.

Polishes -OPI - The Show Must Go On!
nadienadie 4/27/2012 12:03:00 PM
I love this polish. I was at a makeup convention at the OPI stand when I encountered this polish for the first time. It was also the time when I met Lena White, lucky me! As soon as I saw it, I knew that this was going to be making its way home with me! This is a shimmery magenta, copper, golden polish. Seeing is believing with this one. A description of this polish does not do it justice. In different lights, at different angles, the duochrome nature of this polish becomes apparent, the glass flecks just captures the light and reflects it back beautifully. Compliments galore! I would recommend layering this with a deep red base polish to give this shade depth. Otherwise then yes, it can be a bit sheer. Layered underneath a red, two additional coats of this will give you the shade you deserve. When I have this on I can't stop looking at it. I will never stop loving and appreciating this polish. I can give up other shades but I will not let go of this one. A definate re-purchase without hesitation. OPI, please make more amazing polishes like this one!

Polishes -OPI - Visions of Sugarplum
nadienadie 4/27/2012 11:54:00 AM
This polish is a dark purple with medium purple shimmer. There is also a hint of gold shimmer in here as well. Not just a normal dark purple polish, this one has drama, personality, vamp! Needless to say, I like this one. The formula is decent, Drytime is good. Two coats to opaqueness. This will look good on long or short nails. Top that with a shiny top coat, this is just wonderful. A fantastic polish to wear at nighttime, A party, dinner, a date, this polish will not let you down. Also a good one to wear when you are applying in a rush. With a steady hand it will look good and dry fast. I look to this when I need to apply a polish quickly, when I am running late and should have applied my polish last night lol! This polish is different enough to warrant a place in my collection.

Treatments -Creative Nail Design - Solar Oil
nadienadie 4/27/2012 11:44:00 AM
As this nail and cuticle oil is so famous and highly spoken of in the nail polish world I decided to give this a go. I was able to get a good deal on this at the time so that swayed me to see what all the fuss is all about! Anyway, on to the oil. Medium thickness yellow oil, has a strong almond smell, very sugary and sweet, can be cloying. However, after this absorbs the smell is much less noticable. Quickly and easily absorbed. Very moisturising. A little goes a long way and a small bottle, even with repeated daily use, such as using after washing hands for example, this oil will last a long time. Would definately re-purchase! Would like to see this oil packaged as a portable pen in the future. I did carry a bottle of this in my handbag for a couple of weeks but I was afraid that this would open in my bag so I stopped doing that. But to use on your desk at work or on your bedside table at home this is a great option for you!

Polishes -Essie - Fiji
nadienadie 4/27/2012 11:04:00 AM
This polish is an off white, slight pinky colour, which verges more white than pink. Can be considered as an off white, nude-y slight pinky colour. I like the Essie brush. I personally am not the biggest fan of Essie in terms of formula but suprisingly, with three careful coats this polish will be reasonably opaque. One coat of this polish is equivalent to two coats of standard sheer Essie polishes, if you know what I mean. The good thing about this colour is that it is not as stark as white, white on me looks tacky on my hands. Due to the colour this colour will stand out, especially with my dark skintone. However, I definately experience cuticle drag with this polish if you do not let each coat dry before adding a next one. Due to this reason this is not the polish to apply when you are in a rush, but when you have the time to carefully and leisurely paint your nails. Due to this reason, I don't often reach for this colour but when I am stick of blues, reds, greens etc, I'll put this on. As far as Essie goes, its obviously not the most original colour but for a very, very light pink it is okay. Wouldn't have minded it being a little more opaque in terms of formula for my taste, but oh well! Probably would buy again, but, saying that, as I hardly wear it, not sure that will happen anytime soon!
