Lipstick -MAC - Scant Slimshine
rated 5 of 5

I bought this color in earlier this year on eBay in March or April after lemming it from the MAC counter. I just noticed yesterday that it is the shade of my pigmented lips! Another thing is that people tell me I naturally have lined lips, so this just helps make me look more polished when I put it on than just lip balm itself. I am a light to medium skin, currently tanner than usual because of the summer and I use MAC NC20 loose powder. I adore this color when I just want to put something on after my lip balm. Other days I go more lighter pink. Will repurchase if I run out.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Airy Fairy
rated 4 of 5

Just got this today while I was at Target looking for a facial moisturizer and a color similar to MAC's Way to Love, but it's a tad bit more pigmented. I just happen to be able to swatch the color on my hand and found the color to be very pleasant! It does not make me look so odd since I have medium skin tone and it is definitely a first lip stick in a long time for me. Finally a lip color besides clear to use when I do dark eyeshadow makeup days... this is because my lips are naturally pigmented. I'm not sure about lasting power, but I will review when I find the lip primer for this :)

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner-Carbon Black
rated 5 of 5

This is one of my newest favorite eyeliners! I bought this about two weeks ago and have to say that it's lasting power is over 16 hours. At first I found it hard to remove, but you have to remember to saturate the area for a few seconds and then wipe away your make up like usual. It goes on smooth and I found that it does smudge just a teeny bit after 6 hours, but all you have to do to fix that is wear eyeshadow before applying! I think this happens because I get oily eyelids over time and the first time applying it was without eyeshadow :) The pen is very cute. It has a smudger applicator on one side and a surprise when you take it apart!! It's very own sharpener!!! Wow!! Simply amazing :) I have yet to find an eyeliner product that is so compact and affordable like this. I hope this does not get discontinued! P.S. I don't think it has many bad chemicals from reading the ingredients list, so I will be repurchasing this. Also, to compare, I have used E.L.F.'s eyeliner and we all know that does not have staying power, but it's is good for being $1. Also, I have compared this with B.E.'s Buxom eyeliner in black when I went to Sephora one day and decided to try eyeliners there one one eye. :D Hope this helps!

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Pink Perfume
rated 4 of 5

I have the body spray version from a swap and it's a lovely smell. The smallest size is 14.50 and the next higher up is 20, you get more for your money with the largest one of course. However, like many body sprays, the scent does not last very long. Will repurchase as EDT in the near future.

This type of spray doesn't last as long as the EDT parfum type. Nevertheless, it's an old high school smell that always smells wonderful!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Shadestick
rated 5 of 5

I received this as part of my swap and I'm so glad that I was able to try this product out! IMHO, it works just as well as the UDPP and I've had to work 12 hour days and it still looks just as gorgeous and blends well with the colors that I use. Mine is some sort of a light pink color called Fard a Paupiere. It is great to use as a base if you love using the Pandamonium quad! I watched some girl on youtube that suggested it over UDPP, but in my case, I found the UDPP unnecessary. I gave the packaging quality a 1 because the inside fell out and isn't as stable as other pens I've used. Highly recommended for those who have oily lids and just want to apply makeup once per day with no touch-ups!

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - Eyeliner Pencil
rated 1 of 5
mzxtine 8/21/2008 6:24:00 AM

Wow. I heard many great reviews about it and wanted so badly to love it but it almost damaged the skin around my eyes when I was trying to take it off!!!! I tried the one called "zero" or "soot", it was their black eyeliner. It was a nice black color that glides on well and stays put, but does NOT budge! It kind of smudges a little over time, but maybe it is because I have oily lids... but oh man, I had such a hard time taking this baby off... glad I just tried it on at Sephora and did not spend any money on it! Will definitely not buy.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Mosh Pit
rated 4 of 5
mzxtine 8/21/2008 6:19:00 AM

This is a pretty nice eyeliner color in gold :) I was skeptical to try at first, but I'm glad I did. I love how this came off easier than the black one... that was so hard to take off it actually hurt my eyes! I will not repurchase the black one, but perhaps this one will be a maybe... but for the price? Nah.

Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Mascara Base [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
mzxtine 8/18/2008 6:42:00 PM

I bought this due to the reviews and I'm very glad that I did. It keeps my eyelashes curled all day (or until I take off my eye-makeup). It also prevents smudges from the non-waterproof mascara to form. Great stuff, I will repurchase although the price is a bit on the hefty side.

Mascara -E.L.F. - Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Clear Mascara
rated 4 of 5
mzxtine 8/12/2008 6:41:00 PM

This is actually a cool product that is worth the price of $1! If you are into making your own colored brows and colored mascaras, then this is it! I like to mix it with my mineral make-up and then get a color I like to put on my lashes the most. Have fun experimenting like I am!

Treatments -Philosophy - Resurface Kit - The Microdelivery In-Home Vitamin C Peptide Peel
rated 5 of 5
mzxtine 8/8/2008 8:39:00 PM

I just tried this product this morning after waking up. I got 2 sample packets and had forgotten my other facial wash at school so I decided to do this and then just moisturize my face with the usual Extra Light Lotion from CO Bigelow. The packets can be used twice... so I split it half for me and half for my mom. I have normal/combo skin that sometimes ends up dry... and my mom has acne prone skin that is quite sensitive. The first step smells wonderful of oranges and has tiny microbeads that feel like sand. The second step is oily and goes on warm. Afterwards I felt how soft my skin was and it was super soft! I'm glad I got a sample of this. I would continue to purchase if it wasn't so expensive.

Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - Home Made Brush Cleaner / Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
mzxtine 7/29/2008 3:41:00 PM

I finally made my own brush cleanser last night and it worked wonders!! -- It also helps save money! I came across this EnKore guy on youtube and found his recipe. Much props to him and the reviewer before me. 1 cup distilled water 1/4 cup 70% or 91% alcohol 1/2 tsp dishwasher soap 1/2 tsp baby shampoo (or any shampoo for oily hair is fine) 1 tsp liquid conditioner spray (might want to check the youtube for this... I used Pantene's Leave-in conditioner liquid spray) Mix gently together and then pour into bottle to store for later use. This formula can fill up 3 - 3oz spray bottles with some left over. Super cheap... try it! :] I love how my brushes are still fluffy and clean after!

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Honey Lip Balm
rated 3 of 5
mzxtine 7/12/2008 6:37:00 PM

Wow... I've read so many good reviews about this product... but when I got the chance to try this... it's scent is way too overpowering! Smells like baby powder + honey + other stuff... this is not for me... I will be sticking with Best Bath Store's Lip Balm instead.

Lip Gloss -Burt's Bees - Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers - Raisin
rated 2 of 5
mzxtine 7/12/2008 5:55:00 PM

There is a rich pigment to this shimmer stick. It is too red for my NC20 skin... IMHO... I took some on my finger and dabbed it onto my lips, it stained it and did not look smooth. I tried again with a balm before applying the shimmer and it looked better, but it is still too red. It also makes me think I have to do up the rest of my face to match it... if I don't it just looks wrong. Glad I got this as part of a swap to try... I will definitely not buy it. Overall, very pretty color, but not for me.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Mango Lip Glaze
rated 5 of 5
mzxtine 7/11/2008 7:16:00 PM

This is one of my new HG Stila Products. I read reviews on which colors to purchase and I'd have to say thank you to those that put NC20 in their reviews with this color because I use NC20 from MAC as well :D Yay! I have unpigmented lips and this adds a sheer natural pinky color to them. There appears to be a lot of glitter in the tube, but it goes on very nicely. I will definitely repurchase, but it seems like I have a lot to work with, so I'll update when I run out!
