Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Erase paste

Love this! The texture is very creamy and it's great for moisturizing my dry under eyes. It does settle into fine lines, but I find all concealers do that, so I can't knock off a lippie for that. I usually prep my undereyes with TFSI. I also love that it has peachy-pink undertones that cancel out my blue under eye circles, and it does well brightening up other areas of my face. I usually apply this around the sides of my mouth since I have some darkness there and voila! I look bright and refresh! Lasting power is pretty decent. I can get about 3-4 hours of wear before I start to see creasing, but I usually pat it back in place so it's not big deal for me. A little really does go a long way so the pot should last a while. With that said I don't think it's really expensive for what you get. I would repurchase this over and over.

Bronzers -NARS - Laguna
rated 3 of 5
mztina 11/8/2011 10:08:00 PM

This is a great bronzer. The product is finely milled and has really good staying power on my oily skin. You don't need a lot as "a little goes a long way". It may be expensive but this will definitley last awhile. However i'm NC20 with strong yellow undertones, and the undertone of this bronzer doesn't suit me. Laguna seems to have strong red undertones that sadly makes me look orange. Benefit Hoola is a better match for my yellow undertone. Which is a shame because I would rather be purchasing Laguna since Benefit decreased the product amount in their bronzer.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes
rated 4 of 5

These wipes do a pretty good job at removing makeup. They can remove waterproof mascara, however for some of the more resistant ones like Majolica Majorica, they do leave residue behind. Overall these wipes are great, they're well saturated and the cloths are pretty smooth so there's not much tugging. The size of the cloths are a little smaller compared to Boots, but they're well saturated enough to remove a full face of makeup. One of the things that keeps me from giving a full five lipsticks is that these sting like crazy! Now, if you don't have sensitive skin these sholdn't be a problem, but if you have sensitive skin like me, these will burn, especially when you try to remove your eye makeup! For refference I do have rosacea.

Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black
rated 5 of 5
mztina 8/4/2010 4:49:00 PM

Possibly my HG pencil eyeliner! This is very creamy and easily applied. It's also very easy to smoke out too. This can do both a nice clean line or a nice smudgey look. However to smudge it you have to work fast before it sets, and if you want to do a nice cleane line, let it set for about 15 seconds before you blink. It doesn't tug or pull when you apply and the color is a very deep black. However, the color is not as deep as L'Oreal's Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner. Compared to L'oreal's eyeliner, this one seems more of a dull matte black, which is ironic since it's a "metallic eye liner pencil". But other than that I love this eyeliner. The staying power is amazing in Texas weather and there's no smudging on my lids and waterline. And I've been using this without a primer! This is the type of eyeliner I will repurchase over and over again.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
rated 3 of 5
mztina 8/4/2010 4:41:00 PM

This is probably the most intense black eyeliner pencil I have ever seen. It's true to it's color and it's a deeper black than Miliani Liquif'eye. It's very creamy and easily applied. However, I think I may have a defected product, as this is immpossible to smudge and do smokey look with this pencil. It seems that once this product makes contact with my lid, it sets immediatly and I'm not able to smoke it out at all. It's great if you're looking for a nice clean black line, and you don't want to deal with liquids or gel liners. Ironically however, through the course of the day this eyeliner will manage to transfer from my top lashlines to the top of my lid. The lasting power doesn't seem very long. But that could be beacuse I live in Texas and our humidity level is insane. Overall I would not repurchase since it smudges like crazy throughout the day.

Highlighters -MAC - Marine Life [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
mztina 5/28/2010 4:52:00 PM

I wouldn't really consider this a highlighter, it's more of a blush to me. After the overspray is gone, the product itself as very little shimmer in it. Also, the powder is VERY pigmented! I'm NC 30-35 and this really is the perfect blush for me. For those who are lighter, I reccomend using a stippling brush, and a very light hand as a little does go a long way. The coral is a very beautiful color and it does sometimes pull a little red, but then I just mix in more of the pink shade to tone down the redness. The pink portion is a true baby pink, and the coral portion is a true coral shade. I personally think this powder would suit those with warmer complexions. Overall I would repurchase, this product gives me a healthy looking flush, something that I don't find in products too often. I just wish MAC would have this in their permenant line, as this product is truly gorgeous!

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous in Coral Reef
rated 5 of 5
mztina 5/2/2010 8:14:00 PM

This is a beautiful shade of coral! It's a very wearable shade of coral that brightens my complexion. I'm NC 30-35 and I find this shade really suits those with warmer skin tones. It's very similar to MAC's Ever Hip lipstick from the Liberty of London collection, but this gloss isn't as pigmented. It's not that sheer either so the color will still be able to show up. The texture is like any other Super lustrous lipgloss: it's shiny, non-sticky, and kind of cushiony. The lasting power is that of a typical gloss so I won't take off a lippie for that. This is definitly a repurchase for me.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Turkish Delight
rated 3 of 5
mztina 4/28/2010 12:25:00 AM

This is a beautiful milky-light-pink gloss. Annnnnd....that's the only good thing that I can say about this. It's a really pretty color, however if your lips a tad dry it will accentuate the lines on your lips. The texture is thick but not that sticky and the lasting power is pretty decent for a gloss. It lasts about an hour for me. Also, NARS lip glosses really do smell and taste bad. It's like a burnt plastic smell, and the smell doesn't really go away either. The packaging is nice and slim, however I hate the rubberized top since it gets dirty so easily. Overall I would not repurchse, since I have found cheaper and simliar alternatives. NYC lip sliders in Sugar Coated is a very similar color to this.

Brows -Maybelline - Define-a-brow gel
rated 3 of 5
mztina 4/28/2010 12:07:00 AM

I've tried a lot of brow gels out there so I can pretty much conclude that they're all the same. The only difference between most brow gels is the brush, packaging, and name brand. What I find matters the most is the brush, because for products like this, that's what usually makes or breaks brow gels. The brushes can either load too much of the product or not enough. With that said, the brush on this is really slim, so if you happened to use this as a clear mascara, it can get all the small lashes too. The brush on this doesn't load too much product either, so I don't have to worry too much about crunchy brows. This does what it's supposed to do, and overall I like the slim packaging of it as it's easy to stick in my purse.

Eyeliner -Kat Von D - Tattoo Liner
rated 4 of 5
mztina 4/27/2010 11:58:00 PM

This is a pretty good product. It has pretty decent staying power with my oily lids. It can stay on my lids for about 4-5 hours without a primer, which is pretty good since I also live in a humid climate. The brush tip makes it easy for application. You can make as thick or thin of a line as you want. This is perfect for those who are new to liquid liners and lazy people like me in the morning. I got this in black, and although the color is not as black as I would like for it to be, the color is buildable.

Concealers -Revlon - Age Defying Moisturizing Concealer (New) [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
mztina 4/27/2010 9:59:00 PM

This is a pretty good concealer. I bought this in medium and I'm NC 30-35 and this has a lot of yellow in it to match my skin. I'm also a collgeg student and this is able to completely cover up my undereye circles which is a first for me! It makes me look wide awake even after an all-nighter. I like that this has spf since I live in Texas, spf is always a must for me. The texture is a little thick, and it's not as moisturizing as I hoped it would be, so this does settle into fine lines. However I found that warming this up in the back of your hand before you apply it prevents that.

Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Mascara Base [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
mztina 4/27/2010 9:33:00 PM

This product is amazing! I have stiff straight Asian lashes, and this is able to lengthen them and hold a curl all day. It really does make your lashes look like falsies! I have oily lids and I live in a very humid area, and this is able to keep my mascara from smudging and flaking off. This can turn any crap mascara into a decent product. Truly a great investment! The trick to using mascara primers is that you have to wait for this to be completely dry before you apply your regular mascara on top. Do not immediatly coat your lashes when the primer is still wet. When the primer is dry, that's when it's able to work its magic!

Lipstick -MAC - Cherish Lipstick
rated 5 of 5
mztina 4/27/2010 9:21:00 PM

This is the first nude lipstick that reached HG status. I'm NC 30-35, and this is the perfect nude lip color for me. It's beige with the right amount of pink undertones. It doesn't wash me out, and it doesn't look like I applied concealer to my lips either. The texture is a tad drying, like most of MAC lipsticks, so I would reccomend moisturizing and exfoliating your lips beforehand.

Eyeliner -Stila - Kajal Eye Liner Tigers Eye
rated 5 of 5
mztina 4/27/2010 9:09:00 PM

My brother calls this the "Dookie Stick". This is a very pigmented dark brown, with slight hints of red. It's a beautiful color for green and brown eyes. The color is dark enough to give your eyes definition but not too harsh for daily wear. I'm a little surprised how everyone is complaining about how easily this smudged, since I didn't have a problem with it. I'm a contact lens wearer with watery eyes, oily lids, and I live in Houston. I didn't have a problem with smudging with or without a primer. I think the trick is that after you apply and smudge it to your liking, let the eyeliner "set" (yes I know that sounds weird for a pencil eyeliner) for about 5 seconds and it should be good to go.

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Anti-Redness Primer
rated 1 of 5
mztina 4/27/2010 9:00:00 PM

Definitely not what I was looking for. I have mild rosacea, and this did nothing to cover up my redness. Instead, it left me with a grayish/greenish cast no matter how hard I tried to blend. The consistency is very liquidy and kind of hard to blend. This is also a VERY glittery product, so you really can't use it by itself. Even with foundation over this, the glitter is very obvious. The only pros about this was that it didn't make me break out. Also, I found that this isn't really much of a primer, it's really just a color corrector. So don't expect it to make your foundation last longer or to control oil in any way.
