Polishes -OPI - Samoan Sand

I am very pleased with this neutral. The slight peachy tone keeps the color from looking drab. My fingers look longer and thinner. This is a great go to for looking either professional or sophisticated. Plus since it looks similar to my skin already, chipping and tip wear are not very distracting when the inevitable happens.

Polishes -China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

Sorry if you do not have this in your collection, you might not be a polish fiend. Yes, I usually prefer wearing creams, however this is neither a pain to apply or remove. The sparkle instantly lifts my mood and makes my happy. Even though glittery reds at can be synonymous with the holidays, this is great year around.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
mzebra 12/31/2012 1:20:00 AM
I flipping love my Mia. I treated myself with some income tax return money and am so glad for the splurge. I use this in the shower every morning. On some days the reminder that my Mia is waiting for me is one of the only things that gets me out of bed. I still have minor break outs, which I blame on my cycle. But my skin is a lot smoother and dealing with breakouts is much easier. If you like to squeeze (bad girl, bad I know) any congested pores I have the intruder practically levitates to the top. I normally use Johnson & Johnson Pure cleanser and it seems to work well. I love this thing so much that I even bring this on my motorcycle camping trips. Space is a premium when we travel, but with the long battery life I don't need to worry about bringing the charger. And after a long day on the road, being exposed to sun, rain, dust, dirt and staying at campsites that might not have showers...this is a god send!

Polishes -Zoya - Ali (La-Di-Da)
mzebra 12/31/2012 1:04:00 AM
I picked this up on clearance at Ulta. I love the color as it is a very vivid punch of color pink. However my smitten-ness stops there. The application is fussy, it goes on thick but the coverage is unimpressive. Once it dries, which is semi matte, any bald spots are very apparent. And even with my seche vite the dry time is lengthy. I have yet to do a manicure with this polish that doesn't end up with at least one re-do. I think I will stick with china glaze's pool party when I'm reaching for a bold pink.

Polishes -OPI - OPI Ink
mzebra 5/27/2012 1:39:00 AM
All of my other navy colored nail polishes can move aside, OPI Ink has captured my heart. Perhaps it's because it isn't a straight on navy, with the hints of purple shimmer. My particular bottle had the perfect consistency. Two coats is all that is needed, with no fussy pooling or dragging. I could quite possibly wear this as my pedicure color for the rest of the year.

Polishes -Barielle - Falling Star
mzebra 5/27/2012 1:32:00 AM
I keep wanting to call this polish flying star. This color really stuck out to me from the Barielle line. I do love the mid-tone blue with the unusual combination of copper glitter. The polish is unbelievably thick in consistency which translates to chips like nobodies business. Also the brush is a bit fluffy in all the wrong places and makes the thick polish hard to control. While I do have my gripes about some aspects, the opacity and the uniqueness of the color still makes it a win.

Makeup Brushes -Smashbox - Brow #12
mzebra 5/10/2012 2:19:00 AM
I don't have a many brushes. Most of the time I just suck it up and use the stupid applicator that comes with the product; ie eye shadows. But I love my Smashbox brow brush. It is the perfect combination with their brow powder, which is a staple in my makeup bag. I don't even know how this would compare to a cheaper brush, because I don't care to find out.

Lips -Nivea - A Kiss of Milk and Honey
mzebra 5/10/2012 1:57:00 AM
You can tell that I really liked this product based on two factors; a.) I did not lose it & b.) I finished it all. This balm applies very smoothly, which is a must in my book. There are some lip balms, Burt's Bees I'm looking at you, that are dry and I feel like I have to fight with just to apply. My lips feel moisturized through out day, however I do need to reapply a few times. Next time, I'll be stocking up so I can keep one at home, in the car, purse and desk at work.

Polishes -Zoya - Zuza
mzebra 5/6/2012 11:27:00 PM
This is really not the type of nail polish that I typically lean towards. I love micro-shimmers and glitter but am not too crazy about foils. But since this seemed like such a collective favorite on the Zoya facebook page and they were having another one of their amazing promotions, I decided to give a shot. I'm still not entirely sold on the foil, it almost looks frosty to me. But the color is beautiful. It applied like a dream and was perfect in two coats. Tip wear is not my friend and this has been holding up with all my daily activities. Also it has been raking in the compliments from strangers, so that's always a win. I'm glad that I included this with my haul and it really helps with the diversity in my collection. The metallic-like foil makes me feel like I'm some kinda sexy beach robot babe. Removing this polish was a pain, foil and/or acetone are recommended.

Polishes -OPI - Gouda Gouda Two Shoes
mzebra 5/2/2012 1:09:00 AM
Wah, I really want this polish to be like the perfect pair of khaki pants, just a great all around neutral. Instead it looks like I took my grandma's nail polish. Something about the color in my bottle is too dusty or brown. I might have to donate this one to the local senior citizen home.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Healthy Hoof
mzebra 5/1/2012 11:15:00 PM
I am going to have to buy a gallon of this stuff. While I'm still a fan of the Burt's Bee lemony butter, this also is a prime staple to conquer my poor chronic cuticles. Not only am I a habitual cuticle picker/chewer (gross, I know!), but I subject my nails to acetone at least 2x a week & always have my nails painted. With the use of the healthy hoofs on a nightly basis my once jagged cuticles are looking under control. The stuff doesn't smell as pretty as the lemony butter, but at least it doesn't smell bad. It also seems to absorb rather quickly into the skin. I picked up a jar for less $3 through transdesign and will definitely be throwing a few more in my shopping cart in my next haul. As long as I have fingers, I will be giving this the thumbs up.

Polishes -OPI - Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?
mzebra 5/1/2012 1:18:00 AM
I like this as an understated color. It looks more gray then nude on my finger tips. But without making it look like like I've been pulled out of a coffin. The formula for this was a bit thin but the color still applied rather opaque. I paired this with contrasting nails painted with a Roll in the Hague for a fun color block.

Polishes -OPI - A Roll In The Hague
mzebra 5/1/2012 1:07:00 AM
This is a fun poppy color. So far no one has stopped and questioned my sanity for sporting bright orange on my nails. The reason for this is from a far I think it almost looks like a light red color. The polish had a great consistency to it, with excellent wear. Right now I have a "skittles" manicure and this color is showing the least tip wear. This is so cute for Spring and Summer. Also if I feel like getting crafty and throwing together a Halloween inspired manicure, this would be in my palette too!

Polishes -Essie - Lollipop
mzebra 4/13/2012 11:09:00 AM
Apparently I can't get enough of my reds. This is a fresh poppy red. All I needed to know is that it had a jelly finish. I am a sucker for that type of polish. What makes this extra great is that I'm good to go with two coats. This is a great shade to wear all year around.

Polishes -OPI - Do You Lilac It?
mzebra 4/13/2012 11:00:00 AM
Why yes I do lilac it! I picked up this polish just because it seemed like a cult favorite on mua, youtube and many polish blogs. This polish applies like total butter. If you are careful you could just leave it at one coat. The color is flattering on me and I would imagine that it is universally flattering. This polish grabbed a few compliments too, which is always a sure sign of a winner. Thanks for the recommendation gals. I hope that this inspires someone else to give this must have a shot! I'd just like to add that I looked through some pictures a friend took of me. You can only get a small glipse of my nails in them but instantly I was reminded how much I loved the subtle, soft purple and I am going to have to paint my nails this color very soon.
