HG! HG! HG! As you might have noticed, I am totally blown away with this mascara. I don't need to curl my lashes anymore. 2 coats makes my lashes loooong, curled. No clumping too! I've actually had people (mainly my husband) can't get over how curled and lush my lashes look. This is a first for me. I truly think my search for my perfect mascara is over. Highly recommended!
Rosewood is a postively luscious lipstick. The previous reviewer saw brown tones in it but all I see is a gorgeous medium to dark pink. The staying power is incredible, a big plus. I can put this on then reapply once in the afternoon. I pair this with Estee Lauder's Apple Cordial Lipliner, which on me is a pink liner, matches perfectly with Rosewood. This makes my skin glow. I have recived many compliments and when my husband actually notices and compliments my lipstick, I know it's a winner! HG status!
I hate to brag but I have a nice complexion. I bought Modern Friction based on the reviews on MUA. What a horrible experience. After using it one time, in two days, I developed cystic acne on my chin. I hadn't changed my skincare regimen in any other way except using Modern Friction. I waited and waited for this one particular cyst to go down, but it never did. I ended up having to go to the dermatologist to have a cortisone injection in the cyst. I just had the injection and am hoping with this treatment it will finally go away. I am happy others had a good experience with this product, it wasn't for me. I'll be more careful what I use on my sensitive skin in the future.
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Stash

I am in love with this eyeliner! This is a gorgeous olive green color with hints of shimmer to it. It glides on easily and stays put for hours. It's very versitale I wear it with Mac Honey Lust and also Corduroy with Shroom as a highlighter. When I am lazy and don't feel to put on eyeshadow, I wear it alone. It still looks great. I put on UDPP on my lids because they are oily when I wear it alone because without the eyeshadow it can creep a bit. I am going to go buy another one because I don't want to run out of it, it's that pretty!
Toners -Nivea - Alcohol-Free Moisturizing Toner [DISCONTINUED]

I thought I had found a great toner. The first couple of nights I used it it left my skin really soft and refreshed. I had to get over the smell, it IS highly fragranced with a strong rose smell, but I thought, hey I can get over it for a good toner. Well, a couple of days later, yikes! My face started to breakout! I hadn't changed any other of my skin care routine except for the toner, so this was the culprit. Stopped using it, the breakouts stopped. I really wanted to like it but it wasn't meant for my sensitive skin.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Double Duty Base & Top Coat

This polish is nothing short of amazing. I use it as my base and top coat for my manicures. I reapply about mid week after a manicure and still no chips in my manicure! I think applying again after you get your mani is essential, it protects the polish, thus no chipping. I am in love with this product. I have had my manicure going on for a week now and it still looks fresh, now that's proof of a good product. It gives a nice shine to your nails too. What more could you want?
This is a new product by Avon. It's a very sheer, and I mean, very sheer, white polish that brightens up your nails. Put on one coat and it makes your nails seem less discolored. A second coat intesifies the brightness. It still looks very sheer, you see the nail bed and fingertips, it's that sheer. It just gives it a nice glow to your nails. ***Edit*** After I wrote this review I need to take one lippie off because it does have a tendency to chip
Mini How High is a lovely pale pink shade. I don't find any lavender hints in it at all. I tried another Essie color that was too white, forget the name, but scored on this one. It's a tad on the sheer side but it still is pigmented enough to allow the pink to show well. I am very pleased by how neat and pretty it makes my manicured nails look.
I was on the search again for another nude lip gloss after Dior discontinued Addict Maniac Beige 224. This one is quite a bit different. It doesn't have the golden tones to it, it has a bit more peach to it. The consistency is different too. While Beige 224 was thicker, this is a bit sheerer and doesn't last as long either. I don't want to give the impression I don't like Freeze, I do! It's a lovely nude and will replace my Dior 224, it's just different. The only gripe I have is the staying power. I actually think this might be the more flattering shade for me.
Lip Liners -Clinique - Quickliner for Lips - Honeystick 09

This is a very pretty lipliner. I have to have lipliners because I have uneven lips and everything from nudes on up require a lipliner. I bought this one to go with Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. It matches perfectly. It doesn't look like I have a lipliner on when I put on the lipstick on, it matches so well, it really gives a polished look.
I was really disappointed in this mascara. From some of the reviews that I had read I was wanting some long luscious lashes. Well it didn't deliver. I noticed a slight improvement but with all the hype from this mascara, plus the price you have to pay, it just wasn't worth it. The wand is really large to work with and it's hard to get at the small lashes and I find that I end up smearing some mascara every time I apply it. I'm going to continue to work with it hoping to see better results, if I don't, then it was a big waste of time and money.
I have been on the search for a powder, any powder that would match my skintone and make my skin look polished and even toned. Well I have found it. I bought Color Ideal in Medium 20 W which has a slightly yellow tone to it. It takes all the red, ruddy patches from my face. Hours later I detect no oilyness and it still looks true to color. I am amazed at how well this powder works, and how truly well it matched my skin. I apply it with a brush and skip the pad.
Sunscreen -Shiseido - Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 55 PA+++ [DISCONTINUED]
mythe 4/14/2008 2:55:00 PM
After using Neutrogena Dry Touch Sun Block and it started giving be breakouts I tried Shiseido. I couldn't be more pleased! I have ultra sensitive skin and no more breakouts, none, nada. I first apply Clarins Sun Wrinkle Control Contour Care SPF 30 Eye Creme for the delicate area under my eye, must protect that area too! Then apply the sunscreen. It never balls up, glides on smoothly and although it does have a slight whitening effect, it doesn't bother me, once I apply my makeup. It makes my face matte for the makeup application too. It controls the oilies during the day, a big plus. I live in the south where the sun is brutal and I need a suncreen that's going to perform and this one does. At night I use DHC Deep Cleansing Oil followed by Cetaphile gentle cleansing wash, it removes all traces of sunscreen. I love this sunscreen!
Lip Gloss -Clinique - Glosswear for Lips -Black Honey [DISCONTINUED]

I usually do not wear lipstick and this does the trick for me. Leaves my lips with a luscious color that is buildable. This from a woman that usually wears nudes. It suits my coloring and I find I'm reaching for it more and more. It really is a nice color that can suit all sorts of complexions. I had to give my first tube to my daughter then go out and buy myself another one. I love it! EDIT!!! I reviewed the glosswear, but actually it should have been for the ALMOST LIPSTICK! double DUH
I have color treated hair which leaves it on the dry side. Using B&B Gentle Shampoo helps keep the moisture in and leaves it silkier. Only problem, my salon doesn't carry it anymore!
