An ordinary gel when use in large quantities will not have the hard gel effect. The hold is ok, it is brushable but I found Aveda's Sap Moss gel to be easier to apply and slightly more conditioning. Aveda's gel does have silicone but way bottom of the ingredient list, but the texture and hold is much better. The bottle is hard to use and the product doesn't flow easily, the natural ingredients are merely gycerin and essential oils, no natural fibre to hold the hair. Its not a bad product but I found others which work better.

I find this a bit sticky after applying and quite mosturising too for my oily skin. I think theres no need for an mosturiser...this thing was mosturising enough for me. I must add I live in a hot and humid country. Will not repurchase if I find something just as natural, effective and cheaper then this. The price is just outrageous...not ridicolous as LaMer but still too much

Scrubs -Aesop - Tea-Tree Leaf Facial Exfoliant

Fantastic! Most scrubs I tried literally murdered my skin because the detergents used are dry. So far Clinique's one seem ok but I tend to be pro neutral. I used this in with Avalon Organic's Lavender facial gel (good for oily skin) and it work well as a mosturising scrub. I love the concept! They could have improve the packaging though

Lotions/ Creams -Aveda - Foot Relief

So far the best foot cream I've had. Got rid of my hardened skin...nearly. Nice scent too. I like this better then Bodyshop's as theirs seems to take longer to work. Its nice when you don't have to exfoliate your foot using a loofah which I believe is the only way to completely get rid of hardened or dry skin

Styling Products -Fudge - Shaper

Nice product. The scent was too fake for me. Basically I've had less then satisfactory experiences with wax/ paste but this product makes it easier due to the creamy texture. Holds very well too. I wish Fudge would incorporate more natural ingredients though.

Love their packaging and scent. It is a LIGHT lotion, so suits me in a tropical climate. It does it jobs well. I love how it doesn't feel greasy at all.

Shampoo -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Tea Tree Mint Treatment Shampoo

This shampoo cleans my oily hair and scalp well enough (need to use slightly more then I would use with other shampoos to make my hair fell clean). What is remarkeble is it makes my scalp feel clean and my hair soft enough. However it does zip nothing for the itch in my scalp. Those with dandruff, try with caution. I believe in synergy, what works for me might not work for you - vice versa. Don't let my less then satifactory experience deter you. However, I would not buy it again.

Very nice! My skin feels clean and well mosturise. It doesn't make my skin oilier. My skin has a healthy glow to it now.

Fantastic! The best facial wash I used for my oily but easily dried skin. The lavander scent is nice too without being overbearing. The best facial wash I've ever used other then Bodyshops Jojoba wash (but that had alot of chemicals??)I wish it would leave my skin a teeny bit softer (not so squeaky clean), but its the best so far.

I've thought the product smelled awful. It had that awful Crabtree and Evelyn like scent. It make my skin feeled oily but well mosturise. I live in a tropical climate and this could be another factor.

I use this long time ago and it was crap. I tried it again and it work perfectly. My spiky hairdo stayed on the whole day. I don't know whether they change the formulation but it seems easier to work with compared to my last experience (4 years ago) with the same product. I love the new packaging though :D I give it a 4 because I have yet to try with other hairstyles, maybe something flat. Tune on....:D

The smell is rather overpowering. I think I probably wouldn't like any pomade high shine product but this thing does work as it advertises provided you want the high gloss lick. It doesn't tame my cow licks though, go figure ;)

Styling Products -Aveda - Control Paste

So far this is the best matt paste I've known, which is still not good for me. It cannot tame my Asian coarse straight hair fully (maybe 70%) and I can't do those crazy hair styles I see on the Aveda website. I have short, tend to be spiky hair mind you. But so far, it does have the nice matte look to it. I find that gel gives a better hold though I don't want the wet look. Might buy again if I can't find anything better.
