Shampoo -Nexxus - Nexxus Pro Mend Split End Treatment Daily Shampoo

Was super excited to try this line out. I've grown my hair out for almost 2 years now and it's super duper long so of course there are split ends. I was hoping that this would be the cure. -_- no. For a shampoo it is way too thick, should be marketed as a conditioner! This product should not be used on the roots. It made my hair flat, greasy feeling and oil up faster than usual. Only way to style my hair is to blow dry, swhich is more heat, equaling more damage to my hair. I usually always air dry my hair and with other shampoos and conditioners, my hair is soft, volumous, and flowy after air drying. With this product, even after blow drying, it feels heavy, no volume. Not worth it and does not deliver. I say, save your money, and get a haircut and rid yourself of split ends that way instead.
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Lemon Drop SPF 15

This product is great! I got the summer fruit one before and it suckd! :( it was waxy and horrible in consistency, did not moisturize at all. but this one, this one really does moisturize and smells delicious. The packaging is so cute! I love the whole spherical thing going on. :D look for sales, cause you can get them cheap!
I only have this in creamsicle. The texture is nice and the pigmentation is alot better than I thought it would be. The color is a nude, orange color, very similar to nyx orange soda. Unlike that l/s, which is very thin and slips everywhere, this product stays on your lips and moisturizes(to an extent). I like the packaging, its nice how it goes with the rest of the collection and the quilted look. Overall, great quality and great product~
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

I like this gel liner but to be honest...the staying quality is not amazing. It is important to note that I have oily eyelids :( and nothing stays on them! Even urban decay zero eyeliner does not stay! So thats important to note. If your eyelids arent that oily, this product will be great. But be careful to use this quickly because it will dry out and then the product is just useless. Overall, a good buy form the drugstore but there are cheaper alternatives, like the wet n wild gel liner.
Eye Shadow -MAC - Chilled on Ice (Cham-pale Collection)

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! i bought it wen it came out w the champale collection but i had a change of heart so i returned it :( regretted it super badly so i bought it off a blog sale and i use it all the time now! is suuuuch a beautiful shimmery effect and makes ur eyeshadow stay on foooorever. one of macs greatest products in my opinion :D just wonderful! definitely wantin to get another one so that i can have a backup!
i absolutely love tinted moisturizers, they are so easy, and dont clog pores like foundations do. But, unfortunately this tm wasnt that amazing. the coverage is a bit thick due to the fact that its spf 50. the pump makes its so much easier to use, BUT the lettering all over the packaging rubs off, its really annoying. also, the colors run super light, so tan and medium toned ppl wont be able to have a shade that matches them. overall, its good for the spf purpose, but idk if its amazing :/ also price is pretty expensive for drugstore
Highlighters -Maybelline - Mineral Power Illuminating Powder

:) I have been dying to find a great finely milled illuminator, unlike the high gitter one I have from stila. I got this on sale for 40% off, which ended up being around 6 dollars. I am in love with this product. I got this in nude, which is a fairy dust, baby pink color. SOOOO PRETTY!!!! I can't believe how great it looks on my skin. Such a soft illuminating glow, no chunky gitters or shine. The product is very finely milled, so it goes on smooth and a little goes a long way. I use this almost every day. The one BIG turnoff I have about this product is that they only fill up HALF of the whole container. I've noticed a lot of companies tend to do this, yes, even mac. :( I feel very ripped off when companies do this, BUT I love this products sooo sooo soo much I will turn a blind eye on this. Oerall, one of the best illuminating powders I have. HG
I was so hoping that this product would be good............. and yet it failed :(. I have been dying to find a good lip tint, a cheap dupe of benefits benetint and posietint, when I stumbled across this in the drugstore. I was so excited and bought it right away, instead of my usual, wait for sale. First thing that annoyed me was that, the felt tip would NOT give me any product. I would try, over and over and over again, trying to get the color on my lips. Uhh, such a sad attempt with very sad pathetic results. Finally after 5 minutes of continous application,it finally got on. YAY! it looks really good, like after eating a cherry popsicle and the color stuck. Then I drink water..........and it is all gone, my hard work. THis tint washes off with water, leaving behind a sad measly amount of color. :( Don't waste your money on this. Although it smells like heaven, it does not live up to its full potential. I say pass.
This is the first makeup product from smashbox that i have been SUPER disappointed with. I am in love with nude lipsticks but when I got this I felt like i was lied to. first of all, its not nude, its more like concealer flesh color. O, ya and it has the texture of a concealer as well. thick, cakey, and just plain gross. Even with gloss, it ends up making this wierd mess of cakeyness and gloss on the lips. I hate this product and I wish I could just throw it away, but that would be a waste of money. :( p.s. mine smells bad too. hmm...... what is goin on with smashbox.
Tinted Moisturizer -Stila - SPF 30 oil-free tinted moisturizer TM
myspace4jes 10/5/2009 12:35:00 AM
I got this in a set at costco for $16.99 (I KNOW! its crazy compared to the retail $36!- see my other review for the other products in the set) The set came with illuminating powder in gold, sheer pressed powder, and blush brush #24. ( this is why i gave a 1 for price, but retail is a little pricey.) pros- this is my everyday must-have. I live in sunny CA so I am very very OCD about sunscreen ( must use it everyday!). This product is perfect, because not only is it a sunscreen, it also is slightly tinted giving the slightest bit of coverage, and it makes my skin feel o so soft! Unlike some of the other sunscreens I use to use ( clinique city bock, elizabeth arden light moisturizing sunscreen), this one actually doesn't make my skin oily or greasy. This keeps my skin looking fresh for most of the day. The product actually kind of dilutes some of my skin issues( acne marks, sunspots, discoloration). I love it! cons- coverage is "light" coverage, and ladies I mean light. If you are hoping for coverage, this aint it. Also, the texture is kinda light a sunscreen but much less greasy feeling or thick, but still sortoff like a sunscreen feel. Overall, one of my favorite products and I have already bought another set to stock up on, b/c I'm scared to run out! :o
Highlighters -Stila - Illuminating Finishing Powder - Gold
myspace4jes 10/5/2009 12:28:00 AM
I got this in a set at costco for $16.99 (I KNOW! its crazy compared to the retail $32!- see my other review for the other products in the set) The set came with tinted moisturizer spf 30, sheer pressed powder, and blush brush #24. ( this is why i gave a 1 for price, but retail is a little pricey.) pros: This is great over foundation or pressed powder. It gave me this shimmery translucent glow that I LOVE. It is soooo pretty and I was very impressed with the finishing look. The great thing is that it counteracts the look of dull skin (which i have on days) and gives a natural looking shimmery shine. I love that because sometimes powders often seem a little unnaturally matte, so this is great to just brighten up makeup. Also great for highlighting eyes and browbones (if used with correct brushes). cons- This is a kind of translucent powder, so if one is looking for pigmentation or for using this as blush, this isnt it. This is used as highlight, so color payoff is very subtle. I tried to ask my friends if they saw if pretty highlight on me and i had to show then with my face in the sun, so you get my drift. The other thing that I wasn't in love with was the packaging. It isn't ugly, it is actually quite cute, but 1) when I first tried opening it, I kept ending up stabbing the product inside and it was making these dents in the product. It was quite a challenge learning to open it(lol). 2) I am in love with their flowery design on their pressed powder compacts that this compared to it wasn't as pretty. Overall, a great highlight for the whole face and very pretty in color. If you go to costco and get it, even better! ( you actually save $109.01 on the whole set! how crazy!)
Eyeliner -Victoria's Secret - Eye Liner / Smudge Tip - Extreme Black
myspace4jes 10/2/2009 12:15:00 AM
I got this product when they were having a spend $30 get $10 bucks off, plus another $5 if you tried on their new body bra. Got $40 bucks of makeup for $25 bucks. This was $8. pros: VERY WATERPROOF. stays on forever. I put this on right when I got it at the mall ( 1 p.m.) and at 12:30 p.m. it was still going strong, barely any smearing and still a dark dark color. The color is very pigmented and does not fade during the day. Almost comparable in longevity to 24/7 urban decay eyeliners. Smudger is very useful for use when doing a smokey eye. cons: Unlike 24/7 urban decay eyeliners, this is not as creamy and doesnt "glide", but trust me there is no tugging involved. Not quite as great as urban decay, but is definitely in 2nd place for best eyeliner. Overall, anyone who is an eyeliner whore(lol) definitely needs this. This is a great eyeliner for a great price. I am very satisfied with vs new formula and new makeup line.
I got "That's a wrap" mascara in teal. It was on sale for 13.50 on smashbox.com, came with free shipping and 1 jumbo sample of your choice plus one sample of tinted moisturizer. pros: I LOVE the color. The teal color is gorgeous and just goes great with my h.i.p. color truth eyeliner in teal. Great when I do my ocean/mermaid/boho inspired makeup. The color really makes your eyes pop. cons: Pretty much the only thing I liked about this mascara was the color. 1st) the brush- wtf is with this brush. I mean, this brush does absolutely nothing for my lashes; it applies no product at all. I had to use another mascara brush to apply it because this brush just didnt do it for me. This brush is horrible and does not lengthen, volumize, or define your lashes. Useless. 2nd) the formula- good formula for sensitive eyes, very easy to wash off with water, BUT this means it won't plump your lashes, no definition, and definitely no lengthening. :( Overall, unless your in love with the mascara color like I am, don't get this. Drugstore mascaras can kick this mascaras ass. :) don't waste your money.
