Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Swisspers
myannabellee 5/16/2013 3:19:00 PM
This review is for Swisspers 100% Cotton Rounds. They are horrible. They're the worst cotton pads I've ever used. They fall apart before they remove anything and they leave bits of cotton all over my face. I have to fold one in half to be able to use it, and I have to use at least 3 of them before they do the job that one good pad should do. They're not all that expensive, but for basic cotton pads I already thought the price I paid was a bit silly- then only to find out how useless they are! Since I can't bear wasting resources, I will use them up. But I can't wait till they're gone and I can buy some real ones! Thanks for nothin', Swisspers.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - All Colors
myannabellee 3/22/2013 5:16:00 PM
I have two of these balm stains from Revlon and I have been really impressed with this product. . Having tried lip stains in the past, I was very happy with the moisture of this balm. My lips don't look dried out at all and the colour lasts for a good 4 hours, probably more if I don't put a water bottle to my lips, but I can't go that long without water! . The colour is fairly vibrant if I add two good layers. . When it wears off, it does so rather evenly, not leaving my lips looking blotchy or line-y. I love it for work since I don't have to be worried if my lip colour has worn off after only an hour. . Probably not the absolute greatest of long-stay coloured lip balms, but for the price, I think it's great.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lavender Essential Oil
myannabellee 8/8/2012 2:19:00 PM
Lavender essential oil is one of the most versatile EOs out there. I massage my clean face with it every night and wake up the next day with clear, fresh skin. . It is antiseptic, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, a bactericide, soothing, and wonderful. . I use it directly on new blemishes to prevent them from advancing, and it works every time.

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios XL spf50 sunblock stick
myannabellee 8/8/2012 1:53:00 PM
As chemical sunblockers go, this stuff is awesome. . It comes in a handy little stick form that one can easily keep in a pocket or handbag. . The ingredients, thought some chemical, are pretty moisturizing, and I can happily use it on my face with no breakouts.

Conditioner -Garnier - Triple Nutrition Conditioner
myannabellee 8/8/2012 1:46:00 PM
I'd read a lot about Triple Nutrition, but only recently had an opportunity to try it myself. It's awesome! . I CWC wash, which means that I use a cheap conditioner on my length, then shampoo, then re-condition. This one I use for the last conditioning since it is so thick and rich. . Smells nice, makes my hair soft and healthy-looking; I think it's one of my faves.

Hair -Klorane - Dry shampoo
myannabellee 8/8/2012 1:40:00 PM
I make my own dry shampoo as well, but for on-the-go stuff, this is great. . No overpowering scent, just a light freshness. Easy to brush out leaving no residue. Lasts a reasonable period of time before the can runs empty. . A little pricey by my standards at 10 euros, but I only say that because making my own is so cheap. Only thing is, I can't put mine in an aerosol can. . As dry shampoos go, this one is perfectly fine.

Blush -Ecco Bella - Blush
myannabellee 8/8/2012 1:34:00 PM
I have had this blush for way longer than I am willing to admit. Even though it has travelled a lot and been busted up and the box is a bit mangled, I still manage to use it and get great results. . I thought it was quite pricey when I initially bought it, but its longevity has made it entirely worthwhile. I should just throw it out and buy a new one, but I can't seem to find a good reason to do so! . I don't even know what colour I have anymore because it has worn off, but the shade blends so perfectly with my skin that other blushes I've tried don't even compare. . Since it is a powder, if my skin is a bit dry, I just mix it with a tiny bit of coconut oil and it goes on beautifully. . I really should just buy a new one. But I can't make myself throw this one away. Haha.

Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
myannabellee 8/8/2012 1:27:00 PM
I would definitely buy this again, but I don't know when I'll ever have to! This stuff has lasted me a few years now, and it is still perfectly good. . Extremely effective in the best natural way. Moisturizing and smells very nice. The small, cute tin fits well in a purse or pocket for on-the-go cuticle care. . Great quality for a very tiny price tag.

Use it for: -Hair -Skin (yes, face, too.) -Nails -Toast spread (better than butter and healthier, too!) -Personal lubricant (I challenge you to find a better product for this purpose.) -Anything else you can imagine. . Coconut oil is the ultimate ruler of all.

Eyeliner -Rimmel - Exaggerate Auto Waterproof Eye Definer (all)
myannabellee 8/8/2012 11:37:00 AM
I've never actually found a Rimmel product that I like until now. . These eyeliners are great. They are relatively cheap and quite effective. I wouldn't say they are really waterproof at all, but that doesn't bother me. They do fade rather quickly, but are easy to retouch. . I have them in Noir, Purple Shock, Emerald Sparkle, and Deep Ocean. I enjoy them all, but Deep Ocean is my favourite. It is a nice deep blue that is not too '80s tacky. (Though I do love '80s tackiness.) . Good, inexpensive eyeliner in a cool range of colours.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lip Shimmer
myannabellee 8/8/2012 11:30:00 AM
I love, love, love Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers. Everything about them is good. They are natural. Excellent range of colours. Nice staying power. Feels wonderful on the lips. . Lip Shimmer balms are the perfect combination between tinted lip balm and lipstick. Subtle enough colours that it does not look like I am wearing a full-on lipstick, but strong enough that my lips stand out as looking naturally beautiful. . I have mine in my pocket at all times!

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
myannabellee 8/8/2012 11:14:00 AM
Full 'N Soft has been a faithful mascara for several years now. Ultimately, I prefer natural ingredients for my sensitive eyes, but this is my preferred conventional mascara. . It leaves my lashes soft; not crunchy or flaky. It has pretty good staying power. The brush is my favourite. I even use it to apply my other mascaras. . As far as conventional drugstore mascaras go, this one rules them all.

Concealers -Dr. Hauschka - concealer 01
myannabellee 8/8/2012 11:05:00 AM
This is a pretty good concealer. The ingredients are pleasingly natural and actually work to heal blemishes. Which is good since if I am applying something directly to a blemish, it is nice to know that the formula will not serve to worsen the spot. . The packaging is pretty cool. With a little turn, the liquid concealer peers out of six or seven little holes in a spongey top. I simply dab it gently onto my skin and spread with my finger tip. . It is a little on the pricey side; I paid 18 euros. So hopefully it will last me a while. I've only had it for a few weeks, so it's hard to tell yet. . It also works well for under the eyes, and various other little discolourations. . Not bad, not bad, and I could see myself buying it again, depending on its longevity.

Tinted Moisturizer -100 Percent Pure - Fruit Pigmented Tinted Moisturizer
myannabellee 8/8/2012 10:56:00 AM
I've only used one container of this tinted moisturizer, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. For a tinted moisturizer, it offers excellent coverage. . The ingredients are amazing. My colour was Peach Bisque and matched very well with my skin. The formula was smooth and moisturizing, and it even offers SPF 20 with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide! (As opposed to questionable chemical sunblockers.) . The container it comes in is totally awesome. The way the pump works makes it so that you get every last bit and nothing is wasted. Genius. . I would definitely buy this again, but would first like to try their Healthy Skin Foundation to see how much coverage it gives. . As tinted moisturizers go, this one is my favourite.

Crème -Dr. Hauschka - Translucent Make-up
myannabellee 8/8/2012 10:42:00 AM
I've only had this for a few weeks, so I can't really comment on the longevity of this product. But I must say that I am not completely thrilled with my experience thus far. . When they say translucent, boy do they mean it. It is nice for evening out a bit of skin tone, but there is no blemish coverage whatsoever. And unless you already have a pretty even skin tone to begin with, don't expect miracles. It seems nicely nourishing to my skin, but I guess I was hoping for a bit more from a 35 euro foundation. . It is better in conjunction with the concealer, but there is another 20 euros. I don't mind paying a bit for a high-quality, natural product, but I think I probably won't be buying this again. If something magical happens in the next few months, I'll come back and update. . At least if it offered some sun protection, that would be something. . I think the thing with Dr. Hauschka is that their main focus is skin care. Which it ought to be. But for those who have not yet managed to get their skin under control, it may be better to invest in Hauschka's skin care products and not their cosmetics.
