This is the best eyeshadow palette that i've seen! There are 10 shades altogether, all being natural and wearable colours! Colours can be used alone or in combination. The texture of the eyeshadows is great as well. i use to buy lots of different eyeshadows without being able to finish any one of them. Thus, this palette with a little of each colour would be a fine match with me! It's nice packaging with a large mirror. However, the small brush included doesn't seem to be so good compared with the other LM brushes that i've got...
Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20

This is not exactly a moisturizer, it's more like a cream foundation! Better still with SPF! It offers pretty good coverage, but the down side is that it does clog pores. I'm using nude and it seems quite natural and suitable for me. Can be used with loose powder to control shine. May be rather oily if used alone during the summer.
Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer

This is a light weight foundation primer, ideal for the summer, as it can provide moisture as well as offer a bit of control towards shine. I use it together with LM's tinted moisturizer or with my foundation. Works quite well, holds the makeup well. It lasts a long time too. I quite like it except for the smell. The smell becomes even worse still if used together with a scented foundation.
Treatments -Shiseido - Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel

I am a bit ambivalent towards this blemish gel. It's good that it doesn't dry up my skin and it doesn't cause me any unfavourable reactions. It seems to work pretty well when i first tried to use it, especially when the blemishes are just appearing. BUt now, somehow seems that my skin has developed some tolerance towards the gel and it's just not working as before. I guess i'll just have to seek another blemish gel later.
Moisturizers -Shiseido - Pureness Moisturizing Gel-Cream

This is a nice light moisturizer. It can be used in the summer months yet not aggravating the oiliness of combination/oily skins. Plus, it is able to cope with the dry winter. However, when the weather gets too dry, consider adding a face serum to go with it. As with other pureness products, it comes with a pleasant light scent.
Toners -Shiseido - Pureness Balancing Softener alcohol-free
muwc 12/3/2003 3:10:00 AM
This softener leaves my face moisturized and soft. And it can actually help to remove some of the dead skins and impurities on the skin surface. I like the fact that it's alcohol-free and its light scent (the same as other pureness products). A nice toner!
Moisturizers -Shiseido - Pureness Moisturizing Gel (Oil-Free)
muwc 12/3/2003 3:02:00 AM
This is a nice moisturizer, especially suitable for oily and combination skin. It also has a light floral scent. However, it is not moisturizing enough for the cold dry winter, you may need to consider to change to the gel cream. Another problem is that the matte powder included in the moisturizer may cause some difficulty if you are going to apply makeup on top of the skincare. Otherwise quite a nice product!
Cleansers -Shiseido - Pureness Foaming Cleansing Fluid
muwc 12/3/2003 2:56:00 AM
This is gentle yet cleansing thoroughly and has a light floral fragrance in it. The packaging is attractive and i like the way the fluid can be pumped out. It foams quite easily too. The SA told me to use 2-3pumps for each washing, but i noticed that 1 pump is already quite sufficient.
I received a 30ml tube of this bluish mask as a GWP. Quite stinging at the beginning, but later i can feel my pores cleaned out and refreshed. It can be irritating to sensitive skin (perhaps due to the AHA), so i guess it would be better if used only on the more oily parts of the face, e.g. the t-zones.
I received this as a GWP, a small bottle of 30ml. I've been using it for a couple of weeks - it simply doesn't do anything! My skin is not especially moisturized or feel toned.
I've bought this some time ago and after using it for a few times, i just find it too oily and thick to be used on my face. So i discontinued using it. It's a good idea to have skin products without fragrance and preservatives but i'd rather have a sunscreen with longer shelf life as i might not be using it every day, especially when i may not finish using the whole bottle within the "fresh" period.
Concealers -Alchemy - Medic Blemish Treatment Concealer
muwc 12/3/2003 2:24:00 AM
I had quite high expectations for this product especially when it was emphasized that it's part of the medic line. But alas, it simply does not serve its purpose. Firstly, it is unable to conceal anything (i've tried putting it under as well as over my makeup, yet just makes my blemishes even more noticeable!!). Secondly, the main active ingredient is just tea tree oil. If so, why don't i just buy a stick concealer from THe Body Shop instead? That'll save me a lot of money!!! I guess i'll just recommend the concealer from ettusais, suitable for acne-prone skin and simply more cost-effective!
This is a really nice moisturizing face serum, keeps my face soft and moisturized, especially good to use during these dry winter days when your favourite lotions/moisturizers are just not sufficient. And it's not oily at all! Of course it's a bit expensive, but a little goes a long way, you just need one pump of the soft satin blue fluid and it'll be enough for your whole face. I've been using it morning and evening, and each bottle still able to last me 3-4 months. The only thing i don't like about it is the cover of the pump, seems a bit tenacious and easy to fall off the tip of the pump. I'm already near the end of my 3rd bottle, and i'll surely repurchase!
