Powder -Sephora - Microsmooth Foundation Powder

This powder is good if your looking for something to Just kind of set your foundation and maybe even out the color if your skin tone. But not to cover imperfections or blemishes. This will cover cheek redness to a minimal but not completely. The best way to apply is with a soft kabuki or a flat top kabuki. It goes on smoothly and doesn't look cakey or ashy... But like I said, it did not cover much for me. It's coverage is more buildable sheer, not medium. Coverage wise and formula, it's very much like Mac skin finish natural. So if u like that, u will like this too. But it's definitely not like a studio fix powder or anything.

This foundation isn't half bad. I've been a mineral foundation gal for years and I recently decided to bite the bullet and try liquid foundation again, for the first time in over six years. The coverage is build able medium, it does give you that dewy glow kind of finish and it lasts pretty well when topped off with a good setting powder. It will break you out though if you don't use a deep scrub daily. It won't break you out like Mac studio fix powder or anything, but you will see a small blemish or bump if you leave it on for more than 12 hours. I don't have sensitive acne prone skin... I have pretty clear combo oily/dry, so when I get a pimple it's usually if I changed a product. Overall though , for a small blemish here and there I'd say this is definitely worth a try. I apply this over a moisturizer with a stippling brush and put a lil concealer under my eyes and top with some powder... And voila. The shade natural beige is perfect for my nw25 color.

This isn't awful concealer, it's better than a lot I've tried. But I definitely would not replace it with my cinema secrets concealer. This product is too thick for my liking and doesn't look natural in my opinion. I like a concealer to look like a second skin or my skin but better... This just looks like I smoothed a thick paste under my eyes. It can look okay I guess if applied right, but I prefer my concealer to look natural in lighting or outside... This you can see its on, and feel it. I'm just picky. Like I said, it's a lot better than 90 percent of them out there... But doesn't have that "like skin" look.

Packaging is great and the fresh milled grinder is a step up from powder foundations... But that doesn't matter cause the product itself kinda sucks. It's chalky looking on and drying. Even when I moisturizer and put a little concealer under my eyes, then buffed this stuff on with the brush it came with, It made my skin look older and pasty. Not an attractive look by any means. I purchased this in hope to find a better love than my long term six year relationship with bare minerals foundation. Didn't stand a chance. Honestly, when I think of this product... The only word that comes to mind is chalky... Just a chalky dry pasty look. I'm not one today don't try something, cause I've have tried EVERYTHING... But I really don't think you should waste your money on this one. It's too pricey to deliver such crap results.

This is super light and covers great. It's the only other concealer I can use other than my Neutrogena smooth stick, that doesn't piss me off and look gross on my skin. It's water based so it smooths out evenly and it lets your skin breath. Doesn't feel like you have makeup on, unless you cake it on with a brush or sponge... Which because its consistency, you can make that mistake your first couple times using this. But when used right, It doesn't look cakey under powder and it honestly looks and feels like your own real skin... Just your skin if it had no imperfections or redness of course. Totally worth it. Their site sucks for trying to order the right color though, so maybe try calling them for shade help or going down there. I live near the area so it helps... But I still hate going there so once you get your shade once, ordering online from them is a breeze. I have medium w/ neutral undertones skin. Close to Jessica Simpson or Carrie underwood skin, and i use the shade 506(15) for concealing. It's awesome stuff!

I know many people probably thinks this concealer sucks, but I like it. It's dirt cheap, the consistency is good and light, and you can build it up and it doesn't give that super caked up look. Make sure to use moisturizer or primer or both, otherwise it will look drying. I've tried Laura mercier secret camouflage, benefits erase paste, Mac cover stick, Mac studio finish, bare minerals well rested, Bobbi brown stick, all other drugstore concealer sticks... And I always come back to this. It's light and it smooths out well. Doesn't just sit thick under your eyes like some do and once you put powder on top of it, it doesn't look cakey. What's the worst that can happen? You waste five bucks. Give it a shot.

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Oil Free
mustanggurl 9/24/2012 12:46:00 PM
The coverage in this tinted moisturizer is prob one of the best that I have ever tried, but it made my skin feel really heavy, greasy and I could definitely feel it on my face. I guess if you use a really small amount it should be fine, but for me, I used a little over a dime size and it was very heavy. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I wasn't very impressed with this after hearing such great amazing things. I personally think oh could find a better tinted moisturizer at the drugstore. Even cover girls skin smooths tinted moisturizer.

Such a love and hate relationship with this product. I have purchased this a few times in because I never felt that I got my exact shade right. I tried nw25 then nw30 which was okay at first till it starts oxidizing an hour to two hours after puting it on. I thought it was my moisturizer that was causing it to oxidize, so I tried with a different moisturizer... Didn't help. Then tried no moisturizer and just primer.. That didn't help either. I then tried this in nc30 and 35 which ended up being to yellow for my skin. I have neutral undertones with combo oily/dry skin and no blemishes... Then I tried n5. It was finally a pretty good match... Only problem was that an hour later I'd get really oily and apply even the smallest amount more to my face lightly with a soft kabuki to touch it up. Then it would start looking cakey and weird. It also looks awfully cakey in strong lights. I'd have to re-wash my face and re apply. Another problem with this stuff is that I can never use this powder two days in a row or more because it makes me break out the first day and I get small bumps all over my face... And my skin is pretty clear till I put this on. Love hate this cause I really like the coverage it gives me and the color... But for me to break out like a fifteen year old boy or look like someone straight puked on my face just isn't really a huge selling point for me.

Foundations -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals Ready Foundation
mustanggurl 9/24/2012 7:19:00 AM
This stuff sucks... I bought it because I heard that it had more coverage than the original loose formula... Which I used for over six years. As I started hitting age 26 I felt like the original foundation wasn't covering like it used to and was looking a bit dry and cakey. After a huge search and hundreds of dollars later on trying different foundations, I kept trying to come back to bare minerals original foundation. Then I realized that it was my moisturizer that was changing the way bare minerals looked and covered. I finally found a good moisturizer that works great under b.e and now I can use the original again. But before I figured that out, I tried tho stuff in my usual "medium beige" shade, and it was awful. It looked dry, cakey, was more of a fair shade than a medium anything, made my face look pale n pasty. It settled in any fine line or dry areas... But with a good moisturizer on it still looked awful. Don't waste your money... The shades aren't even close to being what the original or matte loose versions are. U would have to order four or five shades up. Not worth the 30 bucks. You will be disappointed.
