Polishes -New York Color - In a New York Minute Quick Dry Polish - Flat Iron Green
rated 4 of 5

This is nice but I was hoping for a dark jade polish. Instead I am left with a muted black. I don't regret buying "Flat Iron Green" as I like it a lot, but the color wasn't what I wanted. I will continue to use this as it dries relatively fast and stays on well.

Lip Treatments -Carmex - LipBalm
rated 1 of 5

The ingredients, camphor and menthol, aren't good for moisturizing lips. Carmex will actually dehydrate you and make your lips worse than before. However to ensure its customers will keep reaching for it, the Carmex makers added that soothing, tingling effect. Honestly if I wanted a soothing tingling effect, I'd reach for my vibrator. Not a lip balm.

Concealers -Hard Candy - Glamoflauge Concealer
rated 1 of 5
mumakesmehot 6/28/2012 2:45:00 AM

I bought this to use on my hormonal acne marks and underneath my eye area. BIG MISTAKE. I can't believe I paid $6.00 on this crap. I'm an NW10-NW15, and the lightest shade was too dark for me. Secondly this emphasized my crow's feet. I've worn liquid foundation underneath my eyes for years so I wasn't expecting for such a creamy concealer to bring out my fine lines the way Glamofauge did. Finally this failed to cover my hormonal acne marks. They were still 100% visible no matter how much Glamoflauge I applied. I lost the receipt to this or else I would've went and gotten a refund. For such a high rated product, I was extremely disappointed. I love Hard Candy but this isn't their best work.

Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - Monistat - Chafing Relief Powder-Gel
rated 5 of 5

I swear by Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel! For only $6.00, it has a plethora of usages! I mainly use this as a lip primer for my lipsticks, but it also works great as an eye shadow primer, wrinkle corrector, and (if your skin can take it) as a facial primer. Not to mention you can always use it for your chafing relief needs, too. I will always continue to buy this. It's a miracle in a tube.

Lips -NYX - Soft Matte Lip Cream
rated 3 of 5
mumakesmehot 6/24/2012 7:56:00 AM

I love NYX's Soft Matte Lip Creams a lot due to the price, applicator, easy to apply in a hurry, great for touch-ups during school or work, and shade versatility but the formula is terribly drying. Even with a lip balm or lip liner underneath, I can't help but to envision my lips as a crackling dry desert. I've approximated that the lasting power of NYX's Soft Matte Lip Creams are about an hour and a half on me, even with prepped lips. I'm satisfied with these, just not with the dryness or lack of lasting power. I will continue to try these until I find better lip creams.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Pink Blush
rated 4 of 5
mumakesmehot 6/24/2012 7:46:00 AM

I nearly peed my pants whenever MAC released Lady GaGa's, 'Viva Glam Gaga' lipstick. I'm a huge Little Monster (or in layman's terms, a Lady Gaga fan) so I was really, Really, REALLY excited. I had a problem though: I live two hours away from the nearest MAC Store, and my parents don't love make-up or Gaga as much as I do, so they weren't willing to drive out that far for a tube of neon pink lipstick. In a crazy fan girl attempt, I searched the depths of the internet for a 'Viva Glam Gaga' dupe. Let me tell you, THIS IS IT. This is the closest and thriftiest way to sport a 'Gaga' lipstick look without the 'Gaga' lipstick itself. The only difference in coloring is that 'Pink Blush' has a subtle hint of purple, while 'Gaga' is just straight up light bubblegum pink. But the difference isn't really that noticeable in real life from the numerous photos and videos that I have analyzed. As for staying power, 'Pink Blush' by itself stays on my lips (without eating or drinking) for approximately an hour. With lip balm and lip liner prepped lips (and still no eating or drinking), 'Pink Blush' stays on for approximately two hours and a half. I will continue purchasing this long lasting, cheap lipstick like the hardcore Lady Gaga fan I am.

Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black
rated 3 of 5
mumakesmehot 6/24/2012 7:31:00 AM

I never reach for eye liner pencils because they tend to smudge faster than other forms of eye liner, but I needed an eye liner pencil that I could pack in my purse for quick touch-ups during school and drama rehearsal. I hated to spend my allowance on something I knew would be a waste of money, but I held my hopes up high and searched all over the internet for the best, cheapest drugstore pencil available. My research showed that eye liner pencils containing nylon-12 as a primary ingredient typically had better staying power and better smudge resistance results. This research brought me to I stumble upon Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner in 'Black'. Boy, did my hours of research pay off! Out of a plethora of eye liner pencils I've tried using over the years, none can hold a candle against this one! Milani's Liquif'eye is the best drug store, eye liner pencil solution, for tight lining or water lining. If I carefully set eye shadow on top of this eye liner, I'm bound to get two and a half hours worth of super staying power with minimal smudging! Most eye liner pencils smudge terribly within an hour or so, but not this one! Until I can find a better eye liner pencil, I will continue to buy this and use it for quick touch-ups during school and drama rehearsal.

Lip Gloss -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush Lip Gloss in Slice of Heaven
rated 4 of 5
mumakesmehot 6/22/2012 6:33:00 PM

I'm not a gloss person. At all. But after my sister bought me this, I tried it on for her sake and experienced a change of heart. "Slice of Heaven" really is true to its name. This lip gloss has a delicious peachy taste, seems to last forever on my lips, and honestly I feel like this product will last me an eternity since you only need a small, small dab for hours worth of wear. I'm not a lip gloss person, but the quality of Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss has made me want to venture out and try their other gloss flavors.

Treatments -Boots - No7 Calm Skin Redness-relief Gel
rated 3 of 5
mumakesmehot 12/30/2011 11:17:00 AM

For $19.99, I was expecting more. I've been applying this twice a day (once in the morning and once at night) for about a week now. This makes my skin moisturized and it feels calming once applied, but it doesn't reduce redness as much as it promises. I notice a tiny difference, but the difference isn't significant enough for me to buy this product again. The number one thing I like about Boot's No7 Calm Skin Redness Relief Gel though is how it wears good as a facial primer. It also 'whitens' out my NW10 face, making foundations match better than before. But that's not even what it's supposed to do lol. I don't know if I'll continue to buy this again or not. This doesn't calm my skin redness, but it certainly makes a wonderful facial primer and foundation-matcher.
