Eyeliner -Avon - SuperShock Gel Eyeliner Pencil
muffinphonic 1/19/2011 10:10:00 AM
This is nearly to the quality of UD 24/7 eyeliners. It is creamy, easy to apply and the black one is super pigmented black. I do have very oily eyelids - most eyeliners just slide off me, but this does a good job of staying on. A little bit does migrate to my lower lash throughout the day, but so does UD's 24/7 Zero. My only wish is it was a screw type pencil, as i need to sharpen it a few times a week. However, great quality and a great price.

This was my first ELF item and i am impressed! I didn't think it would be that good as it was fairly cheap, but the eyeshadows are of good quality, are very blendable and the colours are very complementary. As the title suggests, they are very sparkly so i wouldn't recommend to glitter/sparkle haters, but i would have no problem with wearing some of these colours in the daytime as well as night time. I bought a back up of this as i liked it so much.

Hair Color -Schwarzkopf - LIVE Hair Dyes
muffinphonic 11/24/2010 12:45:00 PM
I have used this in a red shade (can't remember it's name) and also the Wild Lights version to put red/purple hightlights in my hair. I really like it - it lasts longer than other dyes i have used, the colour stays fairly true for about 4 weeks which, for a red dye, isn't bad at all. The colour doesn't keep washing out either and it leaves little mess in my bathroom.

I love this dye - I usually use the highlights version to put streaks in my hair but sometimes use this as it does the same job really. If you have black hair like myself, it is impossible to find a dye that goes on BRIGHT without having to bleach my hair first. So this is great - 50 mins or so later, i have bright red or purple streaks! There is still colour coming out during washes a week or so afterwards, but when you are a black haired girl like me, you understand that this is as near to perfect as you can get it. The reason i have removed a lippy however, is because it fades after about 2-3 weeks.

Polishes -China Glaze - Red Pearl

I love this! It is the perfect ruby red for me. I tried Ruby Pumps but it just went so pink... Although it doesn't have the glitter of Ruby Pumps, Red Pearl makes up for this by being a beautiful, rich and sophisticated shade. Lasting power is excellent too.

Polishes -China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

I can't fault the staying power or quality of this nail polish, however for some reason, it just turns pink on me. Everyone seems to make it looks like a lovely rich red, but when i wear it, it is too pink, especially only after one coat. It is improved when i put the second coat on, but i much prefer Red Pearl, which is instantly ruby red without too much pinkness.

Eyeliner -Barry M - Intense Eyeliner Pen
muffinphonic 9/14/2010 7:50:00 PM
This has became my favourite eyeliner, beating the few high end ones i have used. It is extremely long lasting, most of it is still on at the end of the day and it is definitely an intense black. It goes on easily and leaves a great line, mimicking liquid liner, so this is great for anyone who likes the luquid liner look but cannot use brushes.

Lips -Bonne Bell - Lip Smackers -- Cherry Coca Cola

I love both the normal Coca Cola one and the Cherry Cola one, but i think Cherry Cola is the best due to the nice red tint it gives your lips. Both are great at stopping lips getting dry and smell delicious to boot. I reccomend them!

Eyeliner -GOSH - Let's Twist Eyeliner
muffinphonic 10/20/2009 7:45:00 PM
I have this in Carbon Black and it goes on really black and stays on for at least 4-5 hours before you have to reapply a bit. Even then, most the colour is still there after this time, which is impressive as i have greasy eyelids and eyeliners that claim to be long-wearing never are on me. I prefer this to the highly rated Velvet Touch eyeliners, which are supposed to be waterproof but the Black Ink one barely lasted an hour on me. The Let's Twist range is also handy because there is no need for a sharpener and it applies really soft. All in all, i think it has become my favourite everyday black eyeliner as it lasts longer than any others i have tried. EDIT - It does occasionally smudge and isn't as long lasting as the Barry M intense eyeliner pen, which is now my new favourite.

Eyeliner -MAC - black russian
muffinphonic 9/24/2009 10:35:00 PM
I love this eyeliner - it's not the most long wearing, but i don't think it claim to be and still holds up pretty well compared to other apparently 'waterproof' eyeliners i have used in the past. Considering most eyeliners never want to stay on my greasy eyelids, this doesn't do too badly at all in terms of lasting power. It's a very smudgey black (great for glam dark smokey eyes) with lots of bluey silver glitter. It's more a night time eyeliner probably as it's quite sparkly and dramatic. I think it's really unique and looks lovely on if you like that kind of look. I don't think it looks too teenagery either, you just need to get the rest of your look right so it doesn't look too much.

Palettes -Too Faced - Quickie Chronicles - The Fabulous Flirt

I think this is more of a 3.5 than 3, but hey. The blush is far too light for my NC27 skin, it may show up on pale skin but would probably still be quite light. I do like the eyeshadows though - i like the grey the best as it's not too dark and you can make a really nice subtle smokey eye with it if you blend in with the pink. The white is more of a highlight shade. I have only tried three of the lipglosses (I don't really like lipgloss but thought i'd try them out anyway) but the bottom left one is my favourite. It is a dusty pink and is fairly pigmented. The top left one is more a bubblegum pink and seems ok too. The bottom right one also looks nice as it is a wine red/burgundy stain, but haven't tried the top right one. It looks quite a frosty off white, so probs better for those who are into nude lips. This palette is probably better for those with pale skin as the colours (particularly the bush) are more subtle.

Palettes -Too Faced - Quickie Chronicles - The Sweet Tarte
muffinphonic 8/2/2009 10:14:00 PM
I got this recently and tried the eyeshadows and blush out today. Blush: The blush is a lovely rosey mid-pink that doesn't go on OTT and is complementary with the other products. Eyeshadows: I like the dark grey as it's very pigmented and a little shimmery and if you apply it too dark, you can use the matte white eyeshadow to tone it down. The white is also good as a highlighter and is more pigmented than the shimmery one that's in The Temptress. I didn't really now what to do with the pink (i don't get pink eyeshadow) so just left it. Lipglosses: I didn't use them as i don't really use lipgloss anyway but they look like nice lip tints in the palette. So this is more a review of the eyeshadows and blush, which look great together. This is a good palette overall, though the lasting power is so-so.

Palettes -Too Faced - Quickie Chronicles - The Vixen
muffinphonic 7/20/2009 9:26:00 PM
I love this palette, it is my favourite of all the Quickie Chronicles i own. The colours are all really feminine, though i haven't really used the lipglosses (i don't really like using lipgloss in general). They look cute though. The blush is a gorgeous bright pink that doesn't look tacky as you think it would in the pan, it's quite matte and has no shimmer/glitter that i can see and the lasting power is pretty good. It's my favourite blush of all the Quickies' i've tried. The eyeshadows are complementary and blend well, though the lasting power isn't so good with these unless you use a good primer, though i get this with most powder eyeshadows so it doesn't bother me. The darker purple is subtle enough for daytime but also vibrant enough for nighttime, the middle colour is great for an allover lid wash, and the lightest shade looks great as a general highlighter. They are shimmery but i don't find them offensively glittery. The only complaint i have is how delicate this palette is, particularly the blush... i have swapped for two of these and one time, the blush completely shattered despite being packaged well, and the second time, the blush was about to drop out of the pan all in one piece. thankfully, it was easily fixed by just pushing it back in gently, but it means the palette isn't transportable in your handbag unless you want a huge mess. I do recommend you try this palette out though if you do like your purples and pinks, it's girly without being too bubblegum/barbie style. It's a quick way to throw a nice look together rather than fumbling for loads of seperate products.

Palettes -Too Faced - The Quickie Chronicles - The Temptress
muffinphonic 7/10/2009 11:56:00 PM
I have the mini and would love to try the full sized one as it gives me a vampy, smokey eyed look. All in all, it's a nice set that makes it easy to throw a look together quickly, though because of the dark eyeshadow, it's more an evening-look palette. The dark eyeshadow looks a little bruise coloured, but it looks great if you apply it right (build the colour up slowly rather than use loads at once). I use the light one as a highlighter up to my brow, and in the inner corner of my eye. The blush is a very subtle glowy pink, meaning it goes great with strong eyes/lips or anytime you don't want to look overdone. It lasts ages too, which surprised me. I don't ever use lipglosses but tried them out anyway and the colour isn't very noticeable on my medium pigmented pink lips, but it seems to look quite complimentary with the rest of the palette.

Eyeliner -BeneFit Cosmetics - Badgal Waterproof Eyeliner
muffinphonic 7/10/2009 10:04:00 PM
At first, i wasn't keen on this product when i tested it on my bare face. However, next time i tested it i had make up on and it was much better. I'm thinking i must have oily eyelids and the eyeshadow made it a drier surface or something. Anyway, it lasted about 4-5 hours before it started to fade a bit, which is a good result for me as most eyeliners usually fade within an hour ot two, even long lasting ones. A lot of it was still remaining a good 8 hours after application, particularly on the top, though the bottom was quite faded. I do dispute the waterproof part though, as i forgot to take it off before a shower and i noticed afterwards it had smudged. I got the black one and it is very dark and pigmented, though it probably won't work on your waterline due to the waterproof formula repelling any moisture. It is very creamy though and easy to smudge if you do it quickly, before it sets. I think i must just have really oily lids that just refuse any sort of eyeliner, however long lasting it is supposed to be, so i would imagine this would work wonders for most people out there. I know other people who have used this eyeliner and it has lasted all day with no smudging or fading. It has lasted much longer than other so-called 'waterproof' eyeliners i have tried, so for me this is a winner, albeit not a perfect one.
