-I have combination skin. Oily t zone (esp around the sides of my nose), large pores on and around nose and sometimes dry in the cheeks. I am acne prone and need light-med coverage to cover some light acne scars and a some very small red acne. -My skin has a yellow undertone (no pink) and I'm probably a W4 or W5 right now in Loreal true match -I bought shade Medium Beige 180. Even though it claims to be warm, this shade has pink to it and is a bit too dark for me. Moving up and down the shade options for warm skin tones, the shades are very pink. I can get away with wearing this color, but I'm going to buy Shell 130 which looked yellow in the bottle to mix with the shade I have now to lighten it and hopefully match me better. -I really really like this foundation. I was hesitant to buy it because when saaammage applied it, it oxidized to pink and looked bad. For me, it doesn't look bad and I'm a bit darker than her so I think it's less noticeable esp. since I applied a very thin layer. -I used real techniques stippling brush to apply it mostly on my cheeks and just a thin layer over the rest of my face. The first time I tried using it, I used a dense flat top brush and more foundation than I needed. BIG MISTAKE. I don't think you can make this full coverage and have it look good so this is only good if you need light-med coverage -some of my acne scars still showed through but I added a little powder over top and it looked good -I set my whole face with silica powder from coastal scents. Under my eyes has creases and I'm very greasy in the triangle area under my eye. It looks like the foundation on my nose is gone. This is after wearing the foundation from 10am to midnight so it doesn't have extreme wear time, but it did look decent at 8pm even though the oiliness was def there. I do like that it doesn't fade in patches so I don't look ridiculous. I will try setting with Kaolin clay powder from coastal scents so maybe this will help with the oiliness -Looks very natural. All day when I saw my face in diff lighting, I thought my face looked really good. A "my skin but better" look. -As mentioned, bottle has no pump but I just pour a little on the back of my hand and wipe the mouth of the bottle so it doesn't get messy. -Doesn't break me out :) -I shoved my face in my bf black hoodie at around 2pm to conclude that it's not transferable (but of course this depends on if you set it with powder because if you don't, it will def look bad, crease and transfer.) Now at midnight, I just blotted my face and very little foundation came off. Mostly just the oil came off which is very good. My skin actually looks much better than its supposed to so the foundation is still holding up for sure and I'm not left with missing patches of foundation. UPDATE: BREAKS ME OUT. -Over the course of the week, I was falling in love with this foundation. Unfortunately, I also noticed two pimples formed and a lot of red blotchiness in my cheeks. I am acne prone, but I don't break out usually (unless I have accidentally dairy) and I use bp from acne.org so any small red bumps I get usually clear up next day. . This is all to say that I don't usually get blotchiness nor do I get pimples that look as monstrous as these do. These look like they're big and juicy and at the moment they're oozing oil as they seem to have opened up after me washing and applying bp. -I continued using the foundation because I was in denial that this was causing visible irritation but I can deny it no longer. More pimples are beginning to form and I can only credit them to this foundation as I usually have consistently clear skin. I will be returning this foundation :(

Blush -Alima - Mineral Blush

Love the matte blushes. Haven't tried the shimmer ones. Very pigmented. Will look clownish if you apply too much. Very very little is needed. I have the best results using the real techniques stippling brush. Apricot is my favorite so far. Entire line doesn't break me out. Will never buy face products from a different company.. ever. Lasts all day (depending on your skin type) but priming your face first will extend wear. I find applying Silica loose powder from Coastal Scents prior to applying Alima foundation and blush makes my face matte all day and I never have to worry about touch ups.

Concealers -Laura Geller - Real Deal Full Coverage Cream Concealer

Great concealer. Extremely pigmented. Thick, formulated without mineral oil. Strong yellow undertone to correct dark circles in the color medium. Need the tiniest amount. Small tube but will last forever. I agree, it does crease on its own.. but with the right combination of products, it is the best. First, I apply silica powder from Coastal Scents all over my face including under my eyes. Then I apply a small amount of the concealer under my eyes using my fingers, making sure to blend out the edges. Sometimes I spray my face with distilled water before I apply the concealer because this makes it blend easier and takes care of any dryness I have. After applying, I take a damp makeup sponge and set with the silica powder followed by Maybelline's shine free loose powder in light. I then apply my mineral foundation from the all natural face all over my face and sweep a little under my eyes. If it looks too powdery, I spray my face with distilled water again so everything looks natural. The Silica powder is a must for setting all concealers! Hope this helps anyone still searching for their HG concealer because this combo works perfect for me. Lasts all day. No creasing and never looks cakey.

Powder -Alima - Satin Matte Mineral Foundation

My HG foundation. Wonderful product. I loved the ease of ordering samples for cheap so I could test out the foundation and find my perfect match. Great selection of colors. Anyone unsure about colors should check out http://www.temptalia.com/foundation-matrix . I'm very acne prone and I loved how there are only a couple ingredients. None of which are irritating to the skin. My skin is now 95% clear. Better looking than it ever has before because I'm not piling on any chemicals. Light to Medium coverage. Gives skin a poreless, natural appearance. I have HUGE pores on my nose and when I wear this, my skin looks clear and healthy. Very very natural looking. I can't even tell I'm wearing makeup because it blends so seamlessly into the skin. Matte, no shimmer. Doesn't look cakey or powdery but I must warn that if you apply too much it will. Don't try and build it up past medium coverage or it will look bad. My skin is combination with oily tzone and dry cheeks. Doesn't make my dry areas look worse. The primer powder in a must for me to mattify my skin and keep my foundation lasting all day. Lasted me 14hrs of wear without my face looking nasty and greasy as it usually does. I find if I wear a moisturizer underneath though, it doesn't last as long. Looks like my skin, but better. A bit of my hyper-pigmentation does show though the foundation but I love this product nonetheless. I find the Finishing Powder too mattifying for me but maybe someone with oily skin should test it out. I loveee the buttercup powder for under the eyes which I apply after foundation and mix in with foundation for a natural look. It disguises dark circles without creasing, causing wrinkles (which I don't have) or looking obvious. I apply Hard Candy Primer mixed with Urban Decay Primer Potion under the eyes to keep it lasting all day. I'm a fan for life. Def recommend to everyone esp. those suffering from acne. Stop applying all those harsh chemicals to your face and drying out your skin with acne treatments! Go natural :) *****UPDATE**** Now that the weather is getting cooler and my skin is becoming horribly dry, I started searching for some sort of tinted moisturizer because I found that powder accentuates my extreme dryness. However, yesterday I mixed some water and bit of vegetable glycerin in a spray bottle and spritzed it all over my face after applying this foundation. My skin looked so good! It looked like I wasn't wearing makeup but my skin tone was even and it gave my skin back its healthy glow. No more flakiness and no powder caked face look. I'm so happy I don't need to buy any other products for the winter. If you do decide to create this mixture, do not use lots of glycerin. I learned the hard way that your face will be sticky.

Blush -Coastal Scents - Contour & Blush Palette
rated 2 of 5

Very nice palette.. if you are not acne prone. Not sure which ingredient broke out my face but it does contain mineral oil so that might be it. I really loved the contour and blush colors since they are pigmented, goes on nicely and I was able to make it look natural. Although the dark contour color may appear scary, use very little amounts and build up the color or else your face will look dirty. The lighter highlight colors on the other hand didn't go on as well nor did it seem as pigmented. I hope to find a similar matte bronzer and matte rosy blush in their mineral formulations that won't break me out as bad as this did. I am also disappointed that the website did not allow me to post this negative review which I think is absolutely terrible because I'm sure not everyone is blessed with normal skin that can handle mineral oil (or maybe it was the lanolin) without having crazy breakouts.
