Highlighters -Fyrinnae - Mineral Highlighter in Confidence
msaunderscam 4/18/2013 4:49:00 AM
Such a GORGEOUS product my god! For reference, I am very pale.. the closest matches I've found so far are NARS Sheer Glow in Siberia (way too yellow and a smidge too dark) and Maybelline Fit Me in 110 (a smidge too yellow and BARELY too dark). I've tried highlighters in the past, but they all end up being too colorful or too gold to look right on me. This? This is perfection in a jar. It's a very silky, finely milled powder that is pink toned, and as another reviewer put it, almost a rosy white. It works very well to give a gentle sheen to wherever you apply and doesn't look overdone at all. I love it for the inner corners, browbone, cheekbones, nose, and cupid's bow.. it's perfect! If you're pale, I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Blush -Fyrinnae - Fyrinnae Glow Blush in Enchant
msaunderscam 4/18/2013 4:31:00 AM
Enchant is my first blush from Fyrinnae. I ordered a sample, and had high hopes and expectations. I wasn't disappointed! Enchant looks very intimidating in the jar, especially if you're fair skinned. It's a very bright coral with a bit of peach and a touch of pink to it. However, when I swatched it, I realized how little product you needed to sheer it out to a beautiful finish. If sheer isn't your thing, or you want it a little brighter, it is very buildabe. On the cheeks, it leaves a lovely natural flush, but I found it easy to go a little overboard, which I definitely did on my initial application. If you're going for sheer, try your best to be lighthanded, and remember that less is more! I found that dabbing either a finger or a small eyeshadow brush into the pot and then applying to cheeks was the best way to get it from the pot, and then blending it out on the cheeks with whatever brush you'd prefer. I do wish the jars were a bit wider so that step could be skipped, but at the same time, that may end up being counterproductive because I'd imagine you'd pick up a ton of extra product. Overall, I am very pleased, and will be ordering more blushes in the future. I'm in the market for a nice pink!

Lip Gloss -Fyrinnae - Lip Lustre - Lollipop-Pop
msaunderscam 4/18/2013 4:21:00 AM
This is my first lip lustre. I bought it in the trial size, which is 1.5ml. You don't need a lot of product for an application, and the trial sizes are a great way to try plenty of different products and/or colors at a great price. Lip lustres aren't a gloss or a lipstick, or even a lip stain.. they're definitely their own category of lip product IMO. They aren't goopy or clumpy, and they do sort of set like a stain, but they are not drying at all. They don't budge when drinking, eating, smoking etc as long as you blot what little product doesn't set, as the color will still remain. Lollipop-Pop is a vibrant pink, almost like a more tamed down fuchsia. I haven't noticed the blue shimmer mentioned on the website, although the site mentions that it was toned down from earlier versions of the product. Regardless, it's a really pretty color and can be sheered out with or without a balm or gloss, and I'll definitely use up what I have here. It wasn't what I wanted in regards to color, as the website image is very misleading, but it is very pretty and I will use it. I'd repurchase in a heartbeat. Everybody should try a lip lustre.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Metallic Duo - Platinum
msaunderscam 4/13/2013 12:52:00 AM
This is the only duo I have left, and I wish, oh how I wish, that I had others! This particular duo is amazing only for the silver shade. Without applying wet, or over a primer, it's an in-your-face heavily metallic and shimmery shadow that glides over skin like butter. It's absolutely gorgeous, and I love adding it to smoky eyes for a kick. The black, however, has chunks of glitter in it, doesn't glide very easily, and is somewhat chalky, which is disappointing. It will still perform well if you have patience with it, but it's garbage next to the silver. These will crease without a primer, so be safe and use one! I ended up taking 1 lippie off for the issues with the black.

Lotions/ Creams -Jergens - Shea Butter Skin Enriching Moisturiser
msaunderscam 4/13/2013 12:48:00 AM
I love butters so much, and wanted a moisturizer with shea and/or cocoa butter in it. I like the scent of this product, and I love that it doesn't feel greasy. It absorbs quickly within maybe 10 minutes tops, and I do feel softer after application, and upon checking (I haven't applied it for a week, oops) just now, I noticed that a dry patch on my wrist is feeling softer along with my skin in general. I love this stuff! I got the smaller 10 fl oz bottle first, then upgraded to the larger one (which comes with a pump, if anyone's interested!)

Lip Treatments -Nivea - Lip Butter
msaunderscam 4/13/2013 12:44:00 AM
Still not sure how I feel about these, even after having all of the scented ones for a month, and multiples at that (I literally have 4 of the raspberry, the scent is addictive!). I don't mind the tin at all, and I love the scents of the products. I love how they glide on my lips and how the product itself feels soft and luxurious, and I do feel like it softens my lips and whatever flake issues I'm having on them, but if I put it on at night, I still wake up with dry lips. I'm not sure if I'll ever find anything that stays on overnight, even vaseline is off by the time I wake up! However, when I wake up after using it during sleep, the dry flakes are much softer and kind of.. peel straight off, like lash glue almost. Overall, I think I like them, and they do help some, but I am still looking for a HG product.

Eyeliner -Palladio - Liquid Eyeliner
msaunderscam 4/13/2013 12:37:00 AM
I love these eyeliners! Years ago I purchased Black Shimmer having never heard of the brand before, and I ended up loving it. It was my first liquid eyeliner, and admittedly, the only one I've used because I love it so much. I recently went out to repurchase some again since I just ran out of my last one, and came back with it in Black, Charcoal Blue, and Lavender. Black is.. well, black, and a very dark one at that, Charcoal Blue is a tiny bit lighter, and looks like a very dark grey with a touch of blue, and Lavender is a very pretty medium purple. Of all of the colors mentioned, Black is the only one that seems to have no shimmer, as seen in the swatches I uploaded. They stay put with a primer underneath every time, don't fade, and are gorgeous! I have no difficulty in application, but again, these are the only liquid liners I have used.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational in Pearly Pink #720
msaunderscam 4/13/2013 12:02:00 AM
I picked this out because I'm very pale and cool toned and I thought this would go well with my undertones due to the silver shimmer... which turned out to be gritty glitter. It's VERY frosty, and VERY drying, and with that, VERY unforgiving if you have any issues with your lips at all. It's too frosty for anybody to wear. You might be able to get away with it with one swipe, two tops, but even that didn't work well for me. It has an awful scent to it, on top of all of this. Only pro is that it has cute packaging.

Eyeliner -NYX - Slide On Pencil - ALL
msaunderscam 4/12/2013 11:54:00 PM
I only have one of these liners (Platinum), but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get more! I'm hoping that this is an accurate representation of all of them, as the one I own is very soft and creamy, so it spreads very easily on the skin and waterline. However, there is no loss of pigment or lasting power despite this. It's a miracle liner! I adore using this on my upper lash line with a soft neutral shadow in my crease for a slightly amped up day to day look. Gorgeous!

Lipstick -NYX - Round Lipstick - Shiva
msaunderscam 4/12/2013 11:50:00 PM
Shiva is more blue-toned than Fusion, and less opaque. It's got a very pretty shimmer to it and due to the blue tones, would look GREAT with cool skintones. I love this, like all of the NYX round lipsticks I've tried, and really have no complaints. The only warning I give is that this particular lipstick has some slip to it, so I'd definitely recommend a liner so it doesn't feather.

Primer/ Corrector -NYX - HD Studio Photogenic Primer
msaunderscam 4/12/2013 11:45:00 PM
Worst primer I've ever tried, and still on the hunt for a cheaper alternative to Smashbox. I'm very pale (MAC doesn't make a shade light enough for me, closest match I've found is Nars Sheer Glow in Siberia but it's too yellow and slightlyyy too dark) and this STILL leaves a white cast on me. It dries so fast it's akin to trying to spread elmer's glue on your face, forcing you to use a ton of product. It feels tacky forever afterwards, and provides no slip for anything to go on top of it. It doesn't help my makeup look any better or last any longer. I tried using it as another reviewer described to lighten foundation, and it felt tacky still. Not worth your money, I promise.

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream
msaunderscam 6/2/2012 8:17:00 PM
The first time I used this product as a CLEANSER, I was very dissatisfied due to the greasy feeling it left on my face. Weeks later, I decided to give it a try again, and I gently massaged it into my face, left it for about a minute, then grabbed an old t-shirt and dampened it. I gently rubbed circles with the damp t-shirt on my face to gently exfoliate and remove the cream, and it worked great! No residue, and the next morning, my redness was gone, bumps were gone, and pores were smaller. AMAZING! As for makeup removal, it works extremely well gently rubbing it onto my eyes and then removing with damp tissues. My only gripe is that the packaging is very unsanitary.

Lipstick -NYX - Narcissus
msaunderscam 3/27/2012 5:23:00 AM
Great bubblegum pink! After seeing many swatches and reviews of this, I decided I'd jump and buy it and see what all the fuss was about, and I'm glad I did. I haven't had the issue of it not lasting (lasted through smoking, coffee, food, etc for several hours), or seeping into fine lines, or simply washing out. I'm not sure if I got lucky or not, but I adore this lipstick.

Lipstick -NYX - Sky Pink
msaunderscam 3/27/2012 5:09:00 AM
This is a great nude pink color that looks awesome on my pale complexion. It has a little bit of frost to it, but it doesn't even do anything close to washing me out. Love it.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Mega shine- Copper Penny
msaunderscam 3/27/2012 4:36:00 AM
My lipgloss smells of cherry, which I absolutely hate, but I'm not marking a lippie off for that. This is a rosy berry color that looks great with my PPP skin, and I'm very happy about it! However, I took 1 lippie off because the gloss I purchased (which was in clearance at Ulta mind you) seems a bit "dry" and goopy, unlike the other glosses I have tested and/or bought before. This may easily be because I got a bad one, but until I find out, 4 lippies. I do like this gloss besides that!
