Fragrances -The Healing Garden - Organics Olive and Aloe Body Mist
rated 4 of 5

Another offering from THG Organics line, Olive & Aloe Body Mist. I am a fan of the Organics line scents, I cannot wear heavy perfumes due to allergies but these mists work very well for me. I previously purchased the Fig & Lavender scent but wore it to the point that I got tired of the scent. This Olive and Aloe mist has a very clean and refreshing smell to it, according to the label it contains notes of white freesia , ginger and orange. It is an excellent scent. I will definitely repurchase.

Excellent toothpaste and well worth the cost. I had braces put on last month and now have to work extra hard to keep my teeth clean and white. I noticed a difference the first time I used this product. My teeth are whiter and the aloe is very soothing to my mouth, especially with my braces on. I will re-purchase again!

Gels/Soaps -Old Navy Cosmetics - On Body by Kiss My Face Pear and White Tea Shower Gel
rated 4 of 5
ms325i 2/1/2006 9:15:00 PM

Excellent product from Kiss My Face--available at Old Navy. This is a wonderful gel that smells delicious in the shower! I think this scent is the better of the three currently available. It produces a nice lather that leaves skin feeling smooth. Ingredients include aloe, camellia, lemongrass, vitamin e, and grapefruit. I will definitely purchase again.

Other -Tom's of Maine - Peppermint plus Whitening
rated 3 of 5

A decent natural toothpaste--my only hesitation about it is that it contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate--(not sure why they use it when there are other natural lathering agents they could use). It does a great job of cleaning and brightening my teeth and the peppermint flavor is nice and strong--really leaves you feeling minty fresh! I have noticed WalMart carries this line--which means you can probably get it cheaply.

Other -Weleda - Ratanhia Toothpaste
rated 3 of 5
ms325i 1/21/2006 1:44:00 PM

A natural fluoride free calcium based toothpaste..it contains oils of peppermint, myrrh, spearmint and fennel. It cleans teeth nicely enough but it is not minty enough for my taste. According to their website this toothpaste is popular with children--which probably accounts for the subdued mint taste. This toothpaste also does not produce lather which is another quality about it that I do not like. If a strong minty taste and lathering qualities are not important to you--then I would recommend this product.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Tutti Dolci - Mango Sorbetto Souffle
rated 3 of 5
ms325i 1/8/2006 11:29:00 AM

I tested this product during the summer, but decided to wait to purchase it until the after Christmas sale at BBW. I had to travel to 3 different BBW locations to find it--as most stores were sold out of it. I paid $9.00 for a 300ml glass jar of it. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is more a peach scent than mango. The creme or souffle is very rich and indulgent and absorbs nicely into skin--especially after a shower. It leaves no greasy or sticky residue on skin. I love the glass jar--however a tube would be more convenient and would keep the product fresher longer--since you would not have to keep dipping your fingers into it and exposing it to air. It lists shea butter, honey, sweet almond oil, aloe leaf juice, vitamin e as some of the ingedients. This is a great moisturizer to wear in the summer--it is definitely a summer scent. A good find, if you purchase it during the sales--I don't think I would pay full price $19.00 for it.

Fragrances -The Healing Garden - Organics Fig and Lavender Body Mist
rated 4 of 5
ms325i 1/7/2006 7:01:00 PM

A new product from The Healing Garden organic line. The scent combination caught my attention--Fig and Lavender together sounds interesting. I was surprised to find that it's actually quite a nice body mist. It has a very light subtle lavender scent with notes of vanilla and bergamont. I am not sure if there is a true fig scent to it--but it is a nice scent none the less. It wears nicely when sprayed on after a shower--a good at work or casual scent. There is also a Organics Honey body mist available as well--but I think this scent is the better of the two. Worth a try for the price--especially if you can find it on sale.

Fragrances -Demeter - Grapefruit Tea Pick me Up Spray
rated 4 of 5
ms325i 11/29/2005 6:43:00 PM

Just purchased today at Sephora. It was a toss up between this one and Earl Grey. I chose the Grapefruit because I liked its citrusy smell. As per just about all Demeter PMU's the scent fades very, very quickly. But it does leave a very crisp, tangy, zesty smell that does not smell too too much of grapefruit. A decent scent that could be worn by a man or woman.

I tried this masque for the first time over the weekend. It is a pretty decent product for the price. My skin felt great afterwards, and looked brighter and felt firmer. I would purchase this product again.

Gels/Soaps -EO - Rose and Chamomile Shower Gel

Great shower gel, not too strong smelling, cleanses well. Contains all natural ingredients, no sodium laureth sulfates!!! A little pricey at around $7.00 a bottle at Whole Foods, but you can sometimes find them for 1/2 the price at Marshalls or TJ Maxx stores.

Avon needs to address the fault with the aerosol can with this product. it does not work, I have purchased it twice only to have to throw it away each time.

Skincare - Body -Weleda - Wild Rose Body Oil
rated 5 of 5
ms325i 11/5/2005 4:43:00 PM

I purchased the Wild Rose Oil along with the Arnica Body oil at Whole Foods. Both work very well. The rose oil is nicely scented, not too strong. It absorbs into the skin well and leaves no residue. I add it to my unscented lotions or use it directly on my skin. This, along with the Arnica body oil are excellent products.

Lotions/ Creams -Elizabeth Arden - Spiced Green Tea Comforting Body Cream
rated 4 of 5
ms325i 10/30/2005 5:15:00 PM

I saw this cream on sale at my local drug store so I decided to give it a try. This is my first Elizabeth Arden purchase, I usually bypass this line for others. However, I was quite impressed with this cream. The smell is deliciously amazing and it moisturizes my skin very well. The ingredient list is full of highly nourishing ingredients such as, shea and cocoa butters, calendula, honey, algae and chamomile. It works best when used after a shower, it sinks into skin and leaves no film, just a spicy scent. I don't think I would pay full price for this product. If you can catch it on sale it is well worth it. My only gripe is that it comes in a very generic plastic jar. I think a tube would be much more efficient to use.

Skincare - Body -Weleda - Arnica Body Oil
rated 5 of 5
ms325i 10/29/2005 12:07:00 PM

This oil is excellent. I pulled a muscle in my thigh and it was giving me grief! I picked up a small bottle of the Arnica Body oil in Whole Foods..it only cost me $2.00. I rubbed the oil on my pulled muscle and it absorbed immediately..it wasn't greasy and didn't stain my clothes. I applied a hot water bottle on the muscle and went to bed..in the morning it was no longer sore. Even if you don't use it for sore or pulled muscles..this would make a great all over body oil.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Pears - The Original Transparent Soap
rated 5 of 5
ms325i 10/22/2005 12:47:00 PM

Excellent basic soap that has a wonderful scent of thyme and sage. Formula has remained the same for decades. It is a great soap to have in the shower. I use it when I want a change from using gels. Some people use it as a facial cleanser, but I find it too drying to use on my face.
